Definitely supervise this one because you don't want her to ingest any of the strips. Canine enrichment is always more fun when we participate together, it's a great bonding activity :)
This is really cool! If you ever decide to sell these, let me know. Not a DIYer but I think Rex could use a snuffle mat. Maybe Roxy too. I would rather give my money to you than Amazon. 😊
You could totally do this!!! Even if you're not a DIYer :) I'm not going to sell them, but there's a ton of people on Etsy making these and other cool things like snuffle balls
This one with the fleece and sink mat back can be handwashed with gentle non-toxic soap and lay flat or hang to dry - ideally in a sunny spot! But I don't wash it that often, we use it once or twice a week and realistically wash once a quarter.
You can handwash this in the sink and hang to dry - if you can hang it out in the sun, that would be best! But it's fleece, so it won't really hold water.
that's ok! It's not supposed to be a super long lasting activity. You can make it more challenging by having your dog wait in another room while you fill the snuffle mat, then hide the mat in a room and they will have to scent it out before playing with it. There are TONS of ways to make scent work new and exciting
I'm a big fan of snuffle mats! Ginsburg is super food and scent motivated so it's a win/win for enrichment for her!
Im definately making this for my chihuahuas fun idea and easy im not very handy lol
Fun idea - I might try it, although my little dog is a chewer so she might mess this up lol. She does love 'treat hide 'n seek' games though

Great idea!
This sounds like a good idea for some middle-aged, or senior dogs. :3

How do you wash them with the sink mat as a base.

I got one of these but my dog finds all the treats in like 1 min
