I just watched Longlegs which was the 22nd movie I have watched in movie theaters this year. It was unsettling and a phenomenal film.❤❤❤❤

Solid review! It wasn’t shockingly horrifying, but it was deeply unsettling and unexpected, and I loved it! The cinematography and sound design really set the tone. It was surprisingly funny in some areas as well.🔥

My take is that they perfectly captured a polaroid snapshot of the 1970's and put it to film...The light was a little too dark, slightly out of focus, with a grainy orangish hue. Atmospheric, uncontrollable silence, echoed by melodic Cage-ian eruptions.

Except the movie was set in the 90s, hence the picture of President Clinton in the FBI office.
Just watched it today. Wasn’t expecting but expecting if that makes sense. This entire film had me wondering and wandering at every angle in every frame.
I refuse to believe anyone giving this movie positive reviews isn't on the payroll - I'm kidding, but man that movie sucked in so many ways.

We just watched it and I’m so disappointed! I was really bought into the hype.
I thought it was incredible. Definitely a slow burn and I wouldn’t call it scary, but definitely unsettling and atmospheric. Without a doubt my favorite horror film of the past 10 years.

I was one of those people who was very excited to see this movie. Did I feel like it lived up to the hype ? Definitely. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole entire time. Best movie I’ve seen in a long time. It had a Silence of The Lambs kinda vibe. I’m so happy to see that it’s doing so good

Bro i consider myself pretty good at get info from the trailers and I'm going to finally watch it tomorrow, and my expectations are pretty damn high
The filmmaking was sublime as was the atmosphere. However, the story was a hot mess. The third act was a total trainwreck. I was so riveted but then we get to the reveals and the climax and i was like so…. Thats it… thats whats going on??? Seriously???? Even still i was willing to go with it but i just kept waiting for something to happen to make the ultimate destination we end up at feel satisfying but it never came. The ending was just so random and bizarre.
@@Allgloss312 yeah the supernatural ending kinda threw me off, whether it was just the families going insane or turning possessed. I still don’t understand a lot of the ending, but overall a solid film.

Completely agree. It came down to a pretty simple explanation that didn’t fit the mystery of the whole film leading up to it. The end explanation mostly relied on a narrative seen to explain things which is never a good sign for your mystery thriller story.
Great review!!! Alot of people saying it wasn't scary, if anyone had seen Perkin's previous films would know exactly what they were in for and he definitely delivered.....loved this film so much Monroe, Cage and Witt all knock-out performances

This movie was great. Finally a movie made well, meaning appropriate atmosphere for this type of movie...I am super picky about movies.
Long legs was boring, not scary or unsettling, and predictable. The first 35-40min were great, then it all started to fall apart. Thing is, I really wanted to like this film, but afterwards I just couldn’t help but feel disappointed in how it came together.
I agree it was just ok. Not near as dark as I thought it was gonna be. Over hyped & easily forgettable.

I give it 7/10 liked Nick as longlegs just wish he was in it more and they didn't go the twist they did. I wanted a more detective serial killer hunt like Seven or silence of the lambs. And I know Oz wanted her to act like that. But there just wasn't any skill involved in Mikas performance imo. Not her fault but Oz just made her character so weird and dull.
I did like the atmosphere of it, but it didn’t tie together well for me. The story itself felt like a jumbled mess with quite a few unexplained plot devices.

Exactly. Very evil film. It is so unnerving even watching it the second time. Watching the baphomet shadow swallow up Harker. The fact it was made by saturn films. Saturn= hell in the esoteric. Also satan. Go figure
One of the worst films I’ve seen in a very long time. An hour of jumbled nonsense followed by 30 minutes of trying to go back and make it seem like it was setting up some revelation or exposition. And then just throw in a “twist” at the end that’s supposed to be mind blowing I guess but is really just tacked on rubbish.
Terrible movie. Not scary. Cage was unintentionally hilarious. Convoluted story. Completely fell apart in the last third. The twist was ridiculous. Character motivations and choices didn’t make sense. Too many horror movie cliches (creepy dolls, Satanists, axe murderers, psychic powers…) that felt like throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. Plot holes aplenty. Just really, really bad. Some nice use of natural lighting, though.

Nothing to describe but a completely awful movie...it had potential...a creepy pedo killer that somehow made fathers kill their families then suicide...kinda like amityville. Mixed with silence of the lamb, and poltergeist(puppet). Cage was great with his shreiks and usual performance....but the movie sucked bolas.

This was Cage doing Cage for the twentieth movie. Just with a ugly face. It was not intense or scary. The first act and a half is boring. The third act is awesome. Definitely worth a watch. Be sure to get some good sleep before you go. You just might fall asleep.
