Dot they have money to offer to D.White in an extension next year? How much do you think he's going to ask? Is his final year, if they do not get an agreement, could they trade him?
There’s something about the team getting expensive: they have all their first rounders until 2029. Unlike other expensive teams, they didn’t give up a lot of picks to get their star players. They groomed theirs. The moment rotations guys get too expensive, they will just replace them with younger and cheaper ones so they can pay the top 3 guys. You are locked for at least 3 more years with this core while they are all in their prime. That’s basically what happened with the Warriors after their first title.
While the starters and Bench are still young and can still be consistent it will dwindle down after a year especially to KP, Al and Jrue. They should now invest on the growth of their young players like Walsh, Queta and Springer
It would be crucial for Boston to find a high quality successor to Holiday. That person must essentially be a clone of him skill wise. His defense, leadership, and ability to score when the opportunity presents itself is key.
Contracting masterclass by Brad Stevens on this stacked roster, they are getting to the finals again next year unless idk the Knicks gets outrageously locked in and healthy or something
Danny ainge set this team up for so much success. They have actually kind of underperformed over the years compared to the talent they had and the expectations of that teams legacy.
I disagree with the "weakness of the east" tbh, celtics should have a lot of competition next season. Healthy knicks looked like the second best team in the east, embiid looked like the runaway best player in the league, and Dame and Giannis even looked like they were getting better... If teams are healthy the east looks real scary next season
T:27 Every championship team has had a long term core thing: Jokic/Murray/Gordon, Steph/Klay/Green were still talking Dynasty, Giannis/Middleton. For the past 3-4 years, people have been saying break up the duo. Now they're long-term?
This off-season is really the perfect time to extend Tatum and White. The new 2025 media deal is going to significantly increase the salary cap over the next few years. So JB and JT's contracts won't even look that bad a few years from now. Also, the Celtics still have all their 1st round picks except 28 and 29...

@@stevedem76 I think they’ve got another championship in them but with the new cba rules you can’t really construct dynasties like you used to be able to
Celtics are contenders since 2017 until probably the end of this decade or even a bit later. Salaries are an issue, but the salary cap is going to jump. Their challenge will be to find replacements to big Al when he retires (they will make him an assistant or something if they're smart and he's willing). And to manage to get the complementary pieces when they're over the cap. Having said that, nothing promises they're even making the finals next year. We're 5 years in a row that the champ doesn't make it to the CF. It's a competitive league, and a couple of injuries can make a big differences.
Stop with the "easy path". Boston was up 2-1 on Cle and 2-0 on Indiana before they had guys get injured. And the assumption that "Miami would have beat Boston with Butler", when Boston added Jrue Holiday from the last time they played Miami in the playoffs, is absurd. This Boston team was COMPLETELY different than the one that lost to Miami in 2022-2023. That year, Boston relied on Marcus Smart/Grant Williams. Think about that for a moment. Marcus Smart was looked as a "defensive guru", when his last year in Boston, his defensive efficiency ranked him 8th on his own team and his offense was erratic. Let's be honest, every time Smart launched a 3 pointer, we all threw up in our mouths a little. This entire sentiment that "Marcus" was the heart and soul, was complete garbage. It was simply our way of excusing off lack of ability, the same way people call slower white guys on defense (football) "high motor". White/Jrue is lightyears ahead of the duo of Smart/White. Not to mention that Joe had a full offseason to fully implement his system. No Celtic player nor Celt Fans should apologize for Boston's "path" to the title. That sentiment is media filled bullshit. The same shit when they told you "Mavs in 6".
@@Deafkn1ght Dont comment on what I said, if you cant take the 60 seconds to read what I said. That's like giving your opinion on a restaurant, without eating at that restaurant. Jrue was a MASSIVE upgrade defensively over Smart.
As a Cs fan, I'm glad we got that banner 18 🍀🍀🍀. Next year comes the real challenge, not just cause repeating is difficult. But because I don't expect Denver to choke in the playoffs the way that they did this year. Even after the trades the Knicks made for Bridges, I don't see them or any other team in the East beating us anyways. The only team that is a cause for concern for the Celtics in my opinion is still Denver in the Finals. 😬

The most glaring advantage Celtics have is the weakness of the Eastern conference... All these Goliath teams in the west tiring each other out for the entirety of the season and playoffs, then when one of then manages to get to the finals, they're beat-up af Some of these star players HAVE to move to the east to make it a more even playing field (eg. Paul George to 76ers)
Has nothing to do with the Celtics running through the east, the pacers were tougher than the mavs 100%. Win in 4 or 5 and you won't have this problem. If anything you might be able to cite injuries.. but alas it doesn't matter
Goliath teams in the west lol. You bought full into the media west meat riding. Who does the west have? The elderly grandpa super team with the clippers and warriors? The inexperienced group of teenagers in OKC? How about yet another failed KD super team? Lebrons grandpa ass? The no bench nuggets? The wolves with their awful offense who only have one real scorer who is a 22 ppg career player? Or no defense Dallas. Sick of the western conference meat riding
Clips were injured, Thunder were too young. Wolves were the only tough team Dallas faced until the Finals, which is why they lost so badly. See how media trash narratives work?😂
@@ErnieBert-eg8kd All you have to do is check the conferences' win percentage. This year, western conference teams had a total of 650 wins, while eastern conference teams had 580 wins... The problem for the Celtics is that if they sign Jayson Tatum on a big contract and if they sign Jrue Holdiay and they will get into the luxury tax and then they will only get to sign minimum contract if they get into the luxury tax .
At the end of rhe playoffs, I still genuinely think the finals would have been more interesting if it was denver vs Boston. I think denver shouldn't change what their roster looks like and run it back. They just got unlucky with jamal being hurt. So hopefully a denver boston finals match up next season.
Just last season the East had the 3 best records in the NBA. The east isnt weak. It was simply a down year, in large part due to injury, and off the court stuff.
NBA not having a true cap is not fair to small market teams Teams can get whoever they want and the Billionaire owners can just shrug- reach in their pockets and pay the Luxury Tax- Who allowed this to happen??
Even to your point, you don't even have to trade the Jays if everyone gets a new contract. You would probably move on from holiday or white plus some role players. Hell, you'd probably move on from KP
Denver is the best chance especially if they can make a good solid trade. Apparently they will try get Markanen from the Jazz for MPJ. That would make them a lot better.
The Celtics can thank the Philadelphia 76ers and their idiotic front office, in particular the Colangelo Family for Jayson Tatum. As a Sixers fan, that still has me seething to this day.😡😤🤬
You’re forgetting that jrue and horford are 50 years old each porzingis has injury issues and cap space to pay all these guys PP and hauser were also super important with their spacing and defense as well they will still have the J’s and white so they will be elite but the league as a whole right now is too talented for me to say they’ll repeat as champions especially when there’s teams like okc who have cap space and all the assets in the world and are 1 trade away from being a 70 win team or Dallas Denver NY Miami Milwaukee and Minnesota who are all still good teams that can make a big move and be in the finals the league right now is too good

Ironically the Mavericks happened to have the one puzzle that no one out west can solve. Luka. In sports it's all about matchups, just cause I can beat you doesn't mean I can beat someone you can beat. Just my opinion
Let's be honest and I am from Boston. None of the players are "superstar", the team has 5 players having a calibre and skills to be the #2 player in a super team, or the best/dominate player in a medicore-to-bad team. I guess having 5 #2 players are how many you need to beat a "Big 3" team. Boston wasn't close to win a NBA championship when they only had 3.
We also say every year that "x team is just different than the others", now they are a great team but we've seen time and time again how hard it is to repeat, and even these Cs had some luck on their side when things weren't going right for them. This dynasty talk is just not it
Can't believe Jayson Tatum won his first title already at age 19! Young man has a bright future

They should now invest on the growth of their young players like Walsh, Queta and Springer
legend has it, he made this after the celtics loss to golden state and predicted the denver nuggets title and loss to the timberwolves this year.
Bro calling a 3 Peat but forgetting Celtics struggle with Denver and Minnesota 😂
They would’ve stomped Minnesota be fr
It would be crucial for Boston to find a high quality successor to Holiday. That person must essentially be a clone of him skill wise. His defense, leadership, and ability to score when the opportunity presents itself is key.
He always makes these so early lol
Kornet and Queta
Hauser and Pritchard
Contracting masterclass by Brad Stevens on this stacked roster, they are getting to the finals again next year unless idk the Knicks gets outrageously locked in and healthy or something
Glad to be a Celtics fan
Lol they thought they were shipping off holiday to the west coast. He said nah imma stay riiiiight here.
This off-season is really the perfect time to extend Tatum and White. The new 2025 media deal is going to significantly increase the salary cap over the next few years. So JB and JT's contracts won't even look that bad a few years from now.
Also, the Celtics still have all their 1st round picks except 28 and 29...
No it's not there's no big salary jump like 2016...and if they extend Tatum and white they will lose all their draft picks as they will be over the second apron
I know who’s gonna stop this team, the cba
Thought of that as well
Too late, they already got the pieces in place to contend for years.
@@stevedem76 I think they’ve got another championship in them but with the new cba rules you can’t really construct dynasties like you used to be able to
@@stevedem76 I think they’ve got another championship in them but with the new cba rules you can’t really construct dynasties like you used to be able to
Celtics are contenders since 2017 until probably the end of this decade or even a bit later.
Holiday is going to play at a high level for years. He doesn’t have to score anymore just defend
I believe in my Celtics and honestly I know others do to but this feel like this next game they winning like usual but hopefully I get tickets one day
Stop with the "easy path".
Not reading all that. Y’all did have an easy path tho… and a loaded ass team where the stars don’t have to do shit… cmon mane
I agree marcus smart was a good soldier but jrue holiday is him defensively and a great offensive player.
@@Deafkn1ght Dont comment on what I said, if you cant take the 60 seconds to read what I said. That's like giving your opinion on a restaurant, without eating at that restaurant.
No shit it's a "loaded ass team". The fact they are loaded makes this talk that they had an "easy path" sound even more ignorant. They would have steamrolled anyone. They obliterated Dallas, which was the cream of what was this supposed "Beast" Western Conference.
Youre just buying into the same media hype the media feeds you, just like the same hype that had them saying "Mavs in 6". Let me guess...this 60 second read is to much for you too?
@@jameswinslow8540 Smart was 8th on his team in defensive efficiency his last year in Boston. People do not realize this. Smart was actually a defensive liability for Boston last year...but he won defensive player of the year, the year prior, so I get why people think he was still great...but he took a massive step back defensively from 2022 to 2023.
Sir....the game isn't over. 5 mins left lol
24 points difference dude impossible to come back
@@felipeberlinck8541mavs suck ass. Kyrie was ABYSMAL.

Could we now say the KG, Paul Pierce to the Nets is the worst trade of all time officially?
dude nobody's worried about the celtics since outside this yr all they do is gag all over themselves and high chances they'll do it again nxt yr..... UNLESS ofc Jason actually starts playing like Kobe and stop pretending like he's Kobe....
New team, they ain’t like how they’ve been years prior. They proved that this post season and have the best stats and performances in years. Even if the injuries weren’t high they’d still steamroll through the east like they’ve been doing for the past couple years.
What a absolutely ignorant and @ss take
@@nicholaspark533 then choke and gag all over themselves like I said... we'll see nxt yr and i'm sure they'll repeat that same process against better teams..
@@billybadass3056Better teams??? 🤣💀
That's the same stuff y'all said before the season start, before the playoffs, before the Finals. 😂
The most glaring advantage Celtics have is the weakness of the Eastern conference... All these Goliath teams in the west tiring each other out for the entirety of the season and playoffs, then when one of then manages to get to the finals, they're beat-up af
Some of these star players HAVE to move to the east to make it a more even playing field (eg.
@@ErnieBert-eg8kd, Facts, the casual side of the nba 😂
Clips were injured, Thunder were too young. Wolves were the only tough team Dallas faced until the Finals, which is why they lost so badly. See how media trash narratives work?😂
@@ErnieBert-eg8kd All you have to do is check the conferences' win percentage. This year, western conference teams had a total of 650 wins, while eastern conference teams had 580 wins... Furthermore, when going head-to-head, the west had a win percentage of 57.7%
But ok lol
I'm the emotional casual who's bought into the media narratives, and you're the intellectual who's using stats and logic. For sure that's it 😂😂
Offseason is crazy..teams realize 64 win team lost only 3 playoff games. You are not close
Don’t worry, money gone do its thing and break up this bullshit avengers 3 and D lineup.
The problem for the Celtics is that if they sign Jayson Tatum on a big contract and if they sign Jrue Holdiay and they will get into the luxury tax and then they will only get to sign minimum contract if they get into the luxury tax .
Jrue is already got his extension. KP did too.
Jayson and White are the only people who haven’t signed new money
At the end of rhe playoffs, I still genuinely think the finals would have been more interesting if it was denver vs Boston. I think denver shouldn't change what their roster looks like and run it back. They just got unlucky with jamal being hurt. So hopefully a denver boston finals match up next season.
the joke is 19 not 21
Just last season the East had the 3 best records in the NBA. The east isnt weak. It was simply a down year, in large part due to injury, and off the court stuff.
0:51 who cares? Like who cares if we had an easy road in the finals? We deserved it guve credit where it's due.
Is anyone else not worried about Boston? There's just something there that feels like it'll fall off.
NBA not having a true cap is not fair to small market teams
Teams can get whoever they want and the Billionaire owners can just shrug- reach in their pockets and pay the Luxury Tax- Who allowed this to happen??
Skill issue
Name one NBA owner that isn't a billionaire? They make the decision if they want to spend the money small or big market. They're all billionaires
the boston celtics are the kansas city chiefs of basketball now
It seems like Porzingis has been in the league for 15 years. How is he still only 28?
Even to your point, you don't even have to trade the Jays if everyone gets a new contract. You would probably move on from holiday or white plus some role players. Hell, you'd probably move on from KP
This team will never win another championship again with this particular team. The salary cap won’t allow them to stay together
They already are signed together for a few years
That's not true. They are all under control for a while. But a massive luxury tax hit
That’s what you’re praying for but sorry everyone signed for at least 2 more years 😂. Nice try though
Al Horford is 39 next year, KP will likely be injured again, they don’t have anyone to stop Jokic or Embiid (if he can be fully healthy)
Denver is the best chance especially if they can make a good solid trade. Apparently they will try get Markanen from the Jazz for MPJ. That would make them a lot better.
Why would the jazz make that trade?
The Celtics can thank the Philadelphia 76ers and their idiotic front office, in particular the Colangelo Family for Jayson Tatum. As a Sixers fan, that still has me seething to this day.😡😤🤬
It's crazy that Porzingis has more rings than Doncic.😂
Its not rocket science, having those 2 seasoned really big guards is a problem for any team, nobody can really guard them.
How does the Celtics front office prioritise Brown over Tatum? What is your evidence of that?
The main thing that’s gonna stop them is the new CBA.
This Celtics team gonna be around for the next 5-6 years
The main focus for the Celtics this offseason, I assume, is center depth and doing cap voodoo
You’re forgetting that jrue and horford are 50 years old each porzingis has injury issues and cap space to pay all these guys PP and hauser were also super important with their spacing and defense as well they will still have the J’s and white so they will be elite but the league as a whole right now is too talented for me to say they’ll repeat as champions especially when there’s teams like okc who have cap space and all the assets in the world and are 1 trade away from being a 70 win team or Dallas Denver NY Miami Milwaukee and Minnesota who are all still good teams that can make a big move and be in the finals the league right now is too good
Same arguements can be made for de Nuggets, the timberwolves, the Mavs, and even the Pacers
Tatum beat the allegations. Can’t slander him no more. Finals MVP, 3 straight years 1st team all nba. Now every team in the East gotta wonder how tf they gonna stop this team next year if healthy!
what allegations did he beat?
@@er7776 The choking allegations
Yeah based on his play he beat no allegations at all
The most elite role player in Celtics history right there

Philly needs to make moves. Miami needs to make moves. Wemby might be our only hope
Luka Harden is not winning a championship.
That was fast lmao!
We are one of the best teams of all time.
Let’s see what happens with the Thunder next year, they have so much cap space and draft capital
They jack up stagnant shots when they're up 20-30, not very relevant to how good they are/aren't
Once jimmy is healthy, he will return to father his children, the Boston Celtics
In your dreams ringless 35 year old😂🤡🫵🏼
Boston Celtics back-to-back champion 🏆 ?
If they bring marcus smart back after jrue retires 🤦♂️ it’s over
I don't think any teams in the west, outside of Minnesota and Oklahoma would have stood a chance against the Celtics. They'd all die badly except those two.
Ironically the Mavericks happened to have the one puzzle that no one out west can solve. Luka.
In sports it's all about matchups, just cause I can beat you doesn't mean I can beat someone you can beat.
Just my opinion

🤔 oh ok then didn't make the finals
Let's be honest and I am from Boston. None of the players are "superstar", the team has 5 players having a calibre and skills to be the #2 player in a super team, or the best/dominate player in a medicore-to-bad team. I guess having 5 #2 players are how many you need to beat a "Big 3" team. Boston wasn't close to win a NBA championship when they only had 3.
Could be the 1960s all over again ....oh dear !😢
We also say every year that "x team is just different than the others", now they are a great team but we've seen time and time again how hard it is to repeat, and even these Cs had some luck on their side when things weren't going right for them. This dynasty talk is just not it
