Most teams with superstars fill out their rosters with role players whose job it is to help out the superstar. Boston doesn't have any superstars. Their roster is just filled out with A-list players, not role players. On any given night, any one of them can catch fire and torch their opponents, which makes it so hard to gameplan a good defense. You just have to hope JT and JB both have a bad game, and no one else picks up the slack.

The Celtics were hated in the 50's and 60's when they won 11 championships in 13 seasons. Because....Red Auerbach and Bill Russell. They were hated on in the 70's because "Dave Cowens isn't a real center." They won 2 championships. They were hated on in the 80's because Larry Bird wasn't a legit superstar. They won 3 championships and went 67-15. So we're supposed to be surprised they're hated again now?
He's the one that got that lead in OT 😂😂 Showing Tatums missed shots?? You could do that with anyone. He still led in points, assists, rebounds in season, playoffs, finals....
I'm so proud of Tatum for doing what it takes to win. He realized the last few years that jacking up all the shots and losing is a horrible feeling. He decided instead to do more of the unappreciated things this year, like drawing defense and getting his teammates shots, and focusing his energy on defense and rebounding. Honestly this has been the whole Celtic team this season, doing what's necessary to win a ring. Holiday, White, Horford, Brown, Tatum...they played like true professionals this year. I will always remember this team for their selflessness and professionalism. I hope they are truly enjoying their earned vacation and success right now...
MOST PEOPLE CAN'T NAME THE CELTIC'S ROSTER. WHY? BECAUSE WHEN YOU'RE A TEAM PLAYER (old school basketball), YOU REALLY DON'T NEED A STAR PLAYER BECAUSE ANYONE CAN STEP UP AT ANY GIVEN NIGHT.
This is what happens when you keep talking about the lakers winning a championship when they are far from being good enough to do so, you have not a single clue about the rest of the league
I am so proud of Tatum and Brown and the entire team. They had the best team period. Remember when they said there is no "I" in team?? Celtics had you guessing without focusing on team dynamics, but individual strengths and weaknesses. See how they play together filling each others gaps
Tatum had the most points, assists and rebounds in the playoffs. The best passer. Leader. Defense. And talented. Therefore he’s their best player. Top 5 in the league. Where brown is about 13-15.
The Celtics were a historically dominant team all season. Yes, the Mavs played very well over the last few months. But they still weren't anywhere close to the Celtics' level of dominance. Add in that Boston was great at defending Dallas's greatest strengths -- lobs, corner threes, and offensive rebounding -- and I didn't understand why everyone was picking the Mavericks. When a team shows you they're much better than everyone else all season, you should probably believe it. There's a reason Boston was favored in Vegas. It felt like people were judging the Celtics on their past instead of on the current team. Also, it's silly that making six of eight conference finals is considered a "failure" or "choking" in the first place. I swear, sometimes it's better to be mediocre than it is to be consistently great without winning a title.
How they speak on Tatum is a microcosm of what you're whole videos about. Can't just be looking at the team archetype differently gotta look at the players too. Sprecifically Tatum who is on a run we may not have ever seen before already at 26.

I watched around 100 Celtics games this season. Not sure if you watched any more than the play-offs, but Jason Tatum is the best player on the Celtics.. going away. Brown's a great player and I feel he got snubbed for ALL-NBA, but Tatum is better. I get the criticism in the playoffs but Tatum led the Celtics in points, rebounds and assists in the postseason. One of only a few players to do so. Tatum will get the big extension this off-season and despite having to play in the Olympics next month, I bet he will come back even better next season. I believe he needs to work on finishing at the rim so we'll see.
Tatum lead the Celtics in scoring in 11 of the 19 playoff games and overall leads the team in points, assists and rebounds but the media, some players and a bunch of haters out there don't want to give him the credit he deserves..! *We* are the Champs and it's time for people to recognize they were wrong and guess what, we'll do it again next year..! 💪 👊 👑 🍀
Tatum clinched that title only Celtics in history to have a 30 & 10 game in the finals. Led the team in points Rebs Assits And the Dallas defensive game plan was to stop Tatum not Brown

As someone who doesn't follow the NBA that much but followed this years final, I had a small inkling that the Celtics team this year could take it all. Mostly because of how well they played together and moved the ball around. They're not good at any 1 aspect of bball, they're good when you combined their offensive, defensive, and ball passing plays. They're an all around good team. But not great at any 1 aspect. Just my 2 cents
I remember the great Celtics teams of the 50s and 60s and they were dominant because they played at hire level as a team against teams with clearly greater individual talent. Red Auerbach understood that better than any other coach at the time. Now they have another great coach and it shows.
It’s really telling when you compare the Celtics to the Suns. The Suns did exactly what on paper you should do to build a championship team and it blew up in their faces since 3 players aren’t a team. The Celtics were the best TEAM in the league and everything ran incredibly smoothly since there was a lot of thought going into what players could work well with JTJB and then making sure everyone understood that winning the last game of the season was more important than any players individual stats
Even in 2022 people forget Boston was up 2 games to one in the finals and in game 4 Draymond was allowed to play football after announcing he was going to. That series was a lot more competitive than we remember
Nick Wright flat out hates Boston sports teams. When Tom Brady left the Patriots, Wright was asked who he thought would fare better, Brady or The Patriots and he replied, "I'm rooting for Brady. I hate the Patriots. "
I originally had the Celtics beating the Mavs in 5 games at the beginning of the playoffs if they were to meet in the finals. But I changed it to 6 games when it was confirmed that they would play them in the finals
The media for some reason pushes the teams built around 2-3 offensive ISO players...If you don't put up 30-35 a game on 30-plus shots you're trash apparently. What drives me nuts is everyone creams all over Luka who has little to no awareness, suspect handles, and plays no defense...oh and just for fun he is prob the most out of shape 25 year old in the NBA.They have the nerve to compare him to Larry Bird who was a complete player pretty much from day one...Its insulting to the Legend and teams like this Cs team who are complete 1-5
Just wait till next season starts and see where the Celtics land after the first 20 games. Outside of Holiday, They are about to experience the welcome to playing your hardest against the champs moment. How they react will reveal if they have what it takes to repeat. I believe another team has the edge next year. Good Luck Celtics, you'll need it
People forget that improvement is a thing. That's the thing with this current Celtics team. They improved since their brutal loss to the Heat last season. Learned from it and make key trades to be a powerhouse. I still hate seeing the grinning face of Paul Pierce. Like he won the chip himself.
Deep Bench. Everyone scored and played defense. Literally textbook playing mixed with chemistry. Yah there are all stars but they were feeling like has beens. They put that aside. They got the lay ups. They got better at whatever they were weak at. Add jrue holiday. Possible dynasty coming. Celtic Pride
I’m a massive Knicks fan and I love Tatum and have respect for Boston and listen If they played everyone healthy maybe they wouldn’t win but guess what it’s life there’s no but If so they did what they had to do so it’s a real ring and they deserve it so shout out to Boston and enjoy your chip

I agree that doubt about the C's is about "conventional wisdom" team makeup, but I don't quite agree the media portrayals are about "boring" and selling a product. It's more about people not easily accepting new concepts and ideas. Oh sure, if you've worked in business or even government you've heard about "breaking paradigms" until you're blue in the face... but that's mostly nonsense. If people could/would/did such things so often, we'd be innovating our asses off and lose our minds. Nope...we go with what is safe, secure, established and feels like a sure thing... especially when we're trying to sound smart. Like in the hot-wind tunnel of sports talk. Of course VEGAS, mostly did have it right on this (who's more correct in predictions, the "experts" or Vegas? It's not even close. Because Vegas does their homework), because they operate rationally. I think the C's would be the de facto new blueprint for teams of the next decade except for one factor: the new CBA. Which, ironically, punishes the C's for the sins of the Heat, Clippers, Nets et al before them. Of course, if the Celtics can repeat, ownership might just bite the bullet, pay the GNP of Monaco and keep the team together for a THIRD run... but that second apron is gonna wreck it sooner than it should.

Jayson tatum led his team in scoring, rebounds and assist all 4 rounds..
He led in scoring while feeding his team mates.. he the real mvp. Reminds me of the great nikola jokic
Wow great video! Well said & put together. Congrats to the Celtics
The Celtics dynasty has begun 🍀🤍💚🔥🏆 Long win the National champions
It was clear to me that the Mavs weren't in the same class before they played 1 game. Luca is hot trash on defense and has been his whole career but the league is stuck on pushing Euro players. They want to make him an mvp and compare him to MJ and even wilt but never talk about defense except for some bogus defense stats that they try and twist. Can't fool the eye test. Boston can score and defend from all 5 positions so no place to hide him on defense plain and simple.
You can't tell that all these analysts didn't notice this. I'm not that bright but they have their narratives to push.
Tatum became the 6th player in shot clock era to lead his team in total points, rebounds and assists on a championship run... First of those six players to NOT win Finals MVP.... ONLY Celtics player to ever score 30pts and have 10+ assists in a Finals game..
Malika Andrews got a finals MVP vote the award is meaningless.
Every time Tatum misses a shot: "OMG! Overrated!"
Every time Luka gets blown by: (crickets)
Bro the NBA media’s been “exposed” every fucking day for the past 15 years by everyone ever good lord.the word expose has 0 meaning now.
True, I be doing these videos every year for the past few years because the media has become egregiously bad, only for clicks but I think it’s important to make these videos every once in a while, I feel like other yters saw some of the views I got on previous videos and ran the word exposed through the mud lmaoo
@@mj2kallday it’s not like the media’s mad about it anyway, any publicity is good publicity for them. If anything you’re helping them. Like just last week, some bum was trending on how Kyrie “exposed the media” like that sentence has ANY meaning nowadays.
I love how Steven A. Smith was against the mavs until they lost😂
And what was so weird about this whole thing was the difference between the offical commentary (which never believed in the Celtics) and the sports betting industry ( where it wasn't worth betting ON the Celtics because they were so heavily favored, you'd just get your money back when they won.)
yo whats good MJ, ngl ive been watching your videos forever and now my team finally won a ring n you're covering it.. inspirational lol its only up from here and i really appreciate you bro n only wish you the best. we need more content from you tho lol

Tatum is the definition of a superstar
@@SabLew-yh2or No, you see "superstars" only play offense, get burned on defense, and hope no one notices that. That's why the Mavs have two superstars, and the Celtics have zero.
All these talking heads got it wrong, but this old retiree got it right, it didn't take much looking, Boston was the best team from start to finish, best record in the league, offense was top notch, and defense, well just ask Kyrie... If I could see it, why couldn't all these high price talking heads and ex-players figure that out, they picked double back-steppin, foot shuffling, no defense playing Luka, and with Holiday all over Kyrie he was as useless as a submarine with a screen door, Dallas was the 5th seed for crying out loud.....Yet these "experts" picked THEM to beat the best team in the league last week, but today they're all talking about how great Boston is, these flip-flopping no sense having mouth pieces, they all should be PAYING the networks for airtime.
You are my favorite basketball content creator. From the edits, the storyline and delivery. Other people will just repeat what the media said or keep saying the same over and over again to make the video longer. MAKE MORE VIDEOS PLEASE 😊😊😊
I hope they are truly enjoying their earned vacation and success right now...
omg lol this youngn is hilarious...SUBSCRIBED! "what the phuck!" got me
MOST PEOPLE CAN'T NAME THE CELTIC'S ROSTER. WHY? BECAUSE WHEN YOU'RE A TEAM PLAYER (old school basketball), YOU REALLY DON'T NEED A STAR PLAYER BECAUSE ANYONE CAN STEP UP AT ANY GIVEN NIGHT.
Tatum led the Celtics in points rebounds and assists per game these playoffs lol
How don’t you have 1m subs yet mayne. That’s insane. Have this like 👍🏾
Sports betting is why. ESPN was getting suckers to bet on the mavs.
Ngl those old meets new edits are 🔥
Love this vid & he didn’t even have to mention Porzingis 🍀 feel like that shows alot
Tatum had the most points, assists and rebounds in the playoffs. The best passer. Leader. Defense. And talented. Therefore he’s their best player. Top 5 in the league. Where brown is about 13-15.
Never seen a number one seed and the best team in the league (record wise) get so disrespected.
Good take interesting perspective, especially the last part
ESPN doesn't have analysts anymore, they have clowns.
I’m very glad you included RUclipsrs like awful coaching and goat. We always get at the traditional talking heads, but if RUclipsrs do the same thing, it doesn’t make them any better
Looks like Boston Celtics Unofficial Team Captain Jayson Tatum has finally done it boys
0:06 he says that about every coach on every team 🤣🤣
i love his videos
A very good discussion on a unique perspective. I enjoyed this. I did not consider this at all, you are right.
3rd maaaaaaan
yo, saying hi from Chile, love ur vids man
Tatum lead the Celtics in scoring in 11 of the 19 playoff games and overall leads the team in points, assists and rebounds but the media, some players and a bunch of haters out there don't want to give him the credit he deserves..! *We* are the Champs and it's time for people to recognize they were wrong and guess what, we'll do it again next year..! 💪 👊 👑 🍀
I'm in. Let's go C's. We need a repeat.
To be fair, Awful Coaching has said that for every single team this season
Tatum clinched that title only Celtics in history to have a 30 & 10 game in the finals.
Led the team in points Rebs Assits
And the Dallas defensive game plan was to stop Tatum not Brown
@@howsittastes Game 1 KP clinched Game 2 Jrue Holiday Game 3 JB and JT both go for 30 and Game 4 JB was horrible in which the got blown out Game 5 JT game there's no JB dominant series that was the Pacers series, JT led in every category just like all the past finals MVP who done that get it. The narrative was JB MVP from the jump even only after one game GTFO
TEAM BALL IS EVERYTHING BECAUSE WHEN YOUR STAR PLAYER DISAPPEARS, ANY REMAINING 4 CAN STEP UP. THAT'S BASKETBALL I GREW UP WITH.
That’s why you can’t listen to the naysayers…go out and put in that work. I’m so happy for Jay Tatum and J Brown..,they deserve it all!!!
Not on the level of Luka is crazy 😂
The best team...they want something else that they hoped for and was wrong and they have nothing to say...and the silence is better than them talking....
Don't apologize 😂😂😂
U said it😅😅
As someone who doesn't follow the NBA that much but followed this years final, I had a small inkling that the Celtics team this year could take it all. Mostly because of how well they played together and moved the ball around. They're not good at any 1 aspect of bball, they're good when you combined their offensive, defensive, and ball passing plays. They're an all around good team. But not great at any 1 aspect. Just my 2 cents
They were literally ranked #1 offense and #2 defense.
Can’t wait for next season. Go Celtics!!
you're insane if you don't think JT is a momentum changer.
I remember the great Celtics teams of the 50s and 60s and they were dominant because they played at hire level as a team against teams with clearly greater individual talent. Red Auerbach understood that better than any other coach at the time. Now they have another great coach and it shows.
4:04. Tatum is 6' 8" . You can't analyze things if you don't know your facts. But Yes Celtics were hated on and yet dominated.
Great Video!
Nice video bro.
The Celtics are not winning without Tatum so people can clown him all they want but they're just wrong.
Even in 2022 people forget Boston was up 2 games to one in the finals and in game 4 Draymond was allowed to play football after announcing he was going to. That series was a lot more competitive than we remember
Go Celtics baby ☘️
Brad Steven’s… I had my doubts but him as a GM really has impressed me
thanks bro, for another year of the best basketball content :)
we out, and we vibin.
Nick Wright flat out hates Boston sports teams. When Tom Brady left the Patriots, Wright was asked who he thought would fare better, Brady or The Patriots and he replied, "I'm rooting for Brady. I hate the Patriots. "
The Celtics play a total football version of basketball.
I originally had the Celtics beating the Mavs in 5 games at the beginning of the playoffs if they were to meet in the finals. But I changed it to 6 games when it was confirmed that they would play them in the finals
Celtics Fans-->💚🍀🍀💚
James as a Laker slapping hands with Kobe as a Laker? Amazing!
Just wait till next season starts and see where the Celtics land after the first 20 games. Outside of Holiday, They are about to experience the welcome to playing your hardest against the champs moment. How they react will reveal if they have what it takes to repeat. I believe another team has the edge next year. Good Luck Celtics, you'll need it
repeating is not easy, we all know that.
only easy day was yesterday
nice content and analysis, fair and supported by data
Sports media of 2023 and 2024 has been horrendous and is cannot be counted upon to be accurate or unbiased.
Boston is a superstar duo with an amazing supporting cast. Most underrated duo in NBA history
😂😂😂 Awful coaching caught a well-deserved stray
People forget that improvement is a thing. That's the thing with this current Celtics team. They improved since their brutal loss to the Heat last season. Learned from it and make key trades to be a powerhouse. I still hate seeing the grinning face of Paul Pierce. Like he won the chip himself.
Thank you for exposing the media who were constantly downing the Champion Celtics
“What they going to say now!”
Main Stream Media gives analyst and predictions based on story lines not the Xs & Os
Who could have beaten them? The bucks played like shit, Embiid falls off in the playoffs, the nuggets were out, no great team left except if you were expecting the heat to shoot 50 percent from 3?
The knicks would have had an uphill battle if they were your pick
Bro stop capping we was whipping whoever ass stop acting like u know a better team or a player who scores heavily more than tatum can as well because he the only American who made first team nba😂😂😂
Congratulations to Jaylen and I hope gets another FMVP. He epitomises black consciousness playing in the bug three, having his contract announced at a charity drive. He may not have many commercials and fanboys but he is touching more lives.
9:42 Nice Edit 😄
This is like the 90s pipen and Jordan

They won’t admit it and they’re in denial so much that they won’t talk about Boston during summer unless it’s about them “falling short” next season….media is a joke
