I know (you mentioned) you read all of the comments - so here is something that I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate - skincare for sensitive eyes! What is good, what to avoid - for example, I am struggling to find an SPF that doesn't burn my eyes... and cannot be the only one... :) Thank you! keep rocking!
Hello, I have (used to have) eyelid dermatitis used to burn with harsh products all the time. I've switched to La Roche Posay Anthelios 50+ because of Dr. Idriss. Works for me
My eyes are terribly sensitive too, for a daily spf I found the old Olay sensitive spf 15 in the fat white bottle to be great, it's a lower spf but because of the bottle size you don't "skimp" and when you use the appropriate amount you still get great coverage!! Zero burning since it doesn't include avobenzone my personal trigger. If you like j-beauty or k-beauty Nivea super water cream gel is fantastic as well with zero sting! Good luck
@@allysonbergman1303 thanks! I am keeping track on all products I've tried in order to hopefully fuind the culprit among the ingredients. It might be due to my oily forhead, that anything ends up in my eyes, too... who knows. but I'm not giving up on sunscreen no matter what!
@@alma_42 That's a great idea! Tracking is always helpful. For reference i'm not oily so much as sweaty lol but avobenzone is a know eye irritant, though it really could be anything as everyone is so different but for what it's worth I'd avoid formulas with it to give you your best chance at success. I'm sure you know that UV filters in the US are behind most other EU and Asian countries so you may have better luck with non-us brands. Sucks but just what it is! Good luck!!
Such good advice to walk out the door with no makeup to be the goal. I did that for 50+ years and recommend it highly. You get used to your face and aren't freaked out when you take off your makeup. At 61 though, I wear a tinted sunscreen or a light foundation. Almost always. I was not blessed with good genes nor did we have the information or products we do now back in the day. You guys are so lucky in that respect.
I could pull it off if With just tinted sunscreen, except for genetic undereye circles. If I don’t cover then someone I know will tell me “get more sleep” or ask if I’m getting sick. That being said, tinted moisturizer, eye brightening concealer, mascara, a tinted lip balm or oil, and sometimes blush…I don’t wear a full face either anymore (except for special occasions when I might break out very thin eyeliner, serum foundation, cream eye shadow, highlighter, and actual lipstick).
Shereene! I am so excited when I see you posted a new video. I would LOVE it if you made a video about facial hair. Especially how to remove facial hair (mainly for women but men too if you have male subscribers lol!) In the best way to avoid irritation and acne. And maybe how to grow your eyelashes longer? Idk if this is even possible or a myth.
Thank you, Dr. Idriss! New subscriber! You won me over with your last few comments 16:05 about empowering us with the skin we have, to to help us look our best bare minimum and feel great, with or without make-up 🌺
Thank you for being so informative and extremely knowledgeable about the importance of skin care. I know you have a busy schedule with having your own dermatological practice plus being a mom. And yet, you still find time to make videos for us and to help us. I’m so appreciative of you!❤️ You’ve helped me so much with figuring out what my skin loves.💕 - Natalie
Thank you for what you do, Dr. Idriss!! I have had dull skin for years. Even getting facials monthly would only fix it for a few days. After I started adding Vit. C, B12, and retinol to my regimen my skin has been amazing! It's plumper and dewier now.
The way how you teach the details about skincare made me think that you would be an amazing Anatomy Professor( We are learning Integumentary system in the lecture and it reminded me of your teaching/ informing style) :)
Dr. Idriss, you look stunning in this video. You have the best eyebrows! I've been watching you for nearly two years now. I'm super excited for your skin care line to come out!
Hello! HELLO! JUST wanna say I had contact dermatitis and fungal acne before binge watching Dr. Idriss. I am loving my skin now! all clear, smooth and plump! My dresser is now full of LRP and Aveeno products! I've listened to other skin gurus, but nothing beats Dr. Idriss' advice! Thank youuuu so much for helping me ❤️
I stumbled on a video of yours a few weeks ago. Then watched a few more. Took your advice for red cheeks on milder Avene face wash and vaseline to try get the balance right. Four days of uncertainty and shiny skin, but today, day 5 - cheeks no longer burning, redness significantly reduced and can now tolerate the very mild hydrating creme. Thank you!!! Such a simple routine, well priced and it's been life changing
@@janetinfante7901 Initially I found my skin was so sensitive even the mildest moisturiser from Avene still stung. So first three days I used vaseline only, now my skin has calmed a bit, I've switched to a) evening before bed, just using cleanser (taking off with a cotton pad) and vaseline. And b) I use the cleanser with an Avene moisturiser in the morning and no vaseline unless I'm going out into very bad weather. I still have underlying redness, but it is significantly better. My understanding of further reading it can take a while for the skin biome to balance - so I'm hopefully the rest of the red will be gone in a few weeks. I am not seeing a day to day improvement, just suddenly after a few days, I'll see it's reduced in the mirror. So stick with it. I also noticed these two things. 1. The red and 'sore' reduced in about 2 - 3 days (it's pretty cold and we've had snow so the weather adds to it), and 2. Once the 'soreness' reduced, the red seems to be shrinking inwards towards the nose, so my cheeks clearing but the nose area is still a bit red, which makes it almost more pronounced in a weird way. But I'll stick with it, as it seems to be reducing.
I never thought about making seasonal changes to my skincare but it makes total sense. BTW Thank you for showcasing Biofine in a previous video. Wow! I love it. I use it on my often irritated neck and used it last week after dermaplaning my sensitive face. No stinging or itching!! I've also been known to burn my face and neck with my hot hair tools and my arms reaching into the stove rather than pulling out the racks (apparently my mother didn't name me "Grace" for a reason 😄). The macrophage content really helps healing. Thank you so much!!
Dr Idriss I left for a 3 day trip without my weleda and despite using vasaline instead, my lips are so chapped! That stuff is the best, thanks for teaching us to put it on our lips 🤓
Genius with the tea bags sitting in coffee. I save my Yorkshire tea bags after they have steeped, throw them in a ziplock bag in the fridge, and enjoy them the next morning before my next cup of tea. Favourite 5 minutes of the morning. I'll be sure to let them sit in hubby's coffee after they come out of my tea cup, before putting them in the fridge.
I have picked up the Aveeno calm and restore range as soon as it arrived in the UK after you have been recommending it and the cleanser is now my absolute favourite!! The serum is great but I prefer the Avene one you also talked about. The gel moisturiser is incredible too!! My sensitive skin says merci beaucoup!
I added iUNIK Beta-glucan serum to my routine when I couldn’t keep my skin hydrated. It has made a huge difference. It does for me what hyaluronic acid does for others. Just three drops is all it takes. Have you tried the Pacifica Beauty vegan ceramide line? With the exception of the eye cream (which irritated my eyes), the line works very well for me. I haven’t tried the oil, because I mix my own to add to my moisturizer as needed. I also like the Ceramedx line from Earth Science. I like their original products the best-the cleanser in the tube, the moisturizer in the tub (especially for slugging), and the moisturizer in the rectangular bottle. FYI, I have dry, sensitive skin and lots of allergies (e.g., fragrance, salicylates, lanolin, etc.) and intolerances (e.g., petrochemicals-petrolatum and mineral oil, artificial coloring).
Another great timely video. Would love to see a video on gommages. They seem very mysterious. I avoid most physical exfoliation for my post-menopausal dry skin but I don’t really know what gommages are doing to my skin? are they as potentially abrasive as a scrub? When I’ve used one, my skin has felt wonderfully smooth.
Love the supergoop ♥️ great recommendation 🙌🏼 even though I don’t see you personally I always say you’re my derm lol you always steer me in the right direction! You have saved and continue to save my skin 🙌🏼♥️ thank you for all you do 😊
Hi Doctor Idriss! Don't know if you've noticed yet, but the Differin Dark Spot Correcting Serum, which used to be a 2% Hydroquinone serum is now back on the shelves as a 4% Niacinamide serum. Since that falls within the "sweet spot" percent concentration range, I bought it as soon as I saw it. Thanks for the hydration tips!
Would love to see if you could do a review of Zo Products. I’m a CMA and work with these products daily. I just want to know if I’m giving the best benefits to my pts. Thanks, always love watching you!
Great news with the aveeno! Got the moisturizer and serum in Europe and the packaging has changed! The jar is physically smaller (same amount of product) and lighter and the serum no longer is in a dropper! You just pump it out yipeee! 🎉
Thank you for suggesting a one-step option with the La Roche Posay! I would like to know what you think of the brand Biossance. Some people swear by it and I don’t think I have ever heard you mention it. I just don’t know if it’s because you don’t care for it or there are just too many other brands that you like better. 😌
This video was very helpful! Next winter I will add the Aveeno calm and restore gel moisturizer during the day along with my sunscreen. I also have squalane oil from biossance that I didn't know what to do with because retinoids seep up oil and the oil makes the sunscreen less effective. So now I put it on my arms and legs! It's very good quality so my body is getting a benefit! 😁
Perfect timing for me! I'm running low on moisturizer and sunscreen at the moment, so I can incorporate these new recommendations immediately. Especially interested in the sunscreen featured in this video. I currently use the tinted Australian Gold but it feels a bit heavy these days as Southern CA starts heating up for summer. And who doesn't want their face to glow? 🤩
Amazing as Always! I live in the Caribbean so it's always summer here, hot, humid, I feel like wearing moisturizer or even sunscreen daily breaks me out a little.
Is the same for me, I live in the same area. DE protini moisturizer is light and works great for me, but I use it only at night. Still looking for a sunscreen that don’t irritate my eyes.
Hi Dr. Shereene, your comment about feeling good with the skin you have stood out to me. I am a long time subscriber and have been hoping you could do a video with advice for people like myself who have dermatillomania/trichotillomania. It is difficult to find a derm who is kind and understanding about these conditions, who will also educate about skincare options beyond “just stop picking and pulling.” Thank you for your wonderful content!
Thank you for the video, Shereene! definitely need to try that soft scrub to remove dry patches. btw: as we're getting closer to summer season, plus people start traveling, is it possible to have tips for hot humid/tropic like climate routine? Especially for those who have drier skin, needs to hydrate, but to keep face oils at bay during the day due to humidity and heat. Plus how to fight break out due to heat/sweating. Also some people have sun allergies (not sure what it called). Another people need to fight oil glow etc... I feel like it's a huge topic to unfold.
Thank you so much for all your awesome videos! Out of this video I use the Glow Screen & love it❤️Question: How do we deal with crepey neck skin that’s starting to unfortunately happen?
Hi Dr. Idriss. I'm a new fan of your channel and I have to say, you make very informative videos and as an esthetician, it makes me very happy that people can finaly understand how to take good care of your skin. I would like to ask you for advice on what tipe of skincare should I avoid during my pregnancy, and if you would know of a good anti strechmarks regiment. I routinely use a AHA/BHA clenser, niacinamide, ceramides, retinol and peptides.
I wish I had her when I was in college and had no blinkin' idea how to care for my skin. I always had zits just from poor cleansing. Now my skin glows - I'm definitely one of her skin nerds.😊
Hey just wanted to put it out there (I’m a pharmacist) that Flonase and other steroid nasal sprays do not cause rebound congestion and can be (and are used) daily for allergic rhinitis. Nasal decongestant sprays like Afrin are the ones that you need to worry about rebound congestion.
Thanks for information and empowering words !! 😀 I always had great skin until my late 20s! Now I battle with acne, dry skin, dark spots etc. I would like to maybe see a video on foods/ diet and if it really does affect your skin ? Or is it a myth ? Thank you!!
Hi Dr. Idriss! My sister is getting married in 8 months and I am trying to grow my hair out long and healthy. If you ever have the time, I would really appreciate a video on proven ways to improve hair health and increase growth ❤️❤️
The Wishful YoGlow gommage is one of my favourites too!! I love the one that is Tropical Fruits - smells amazing 😻 Revolution Skincare also have a pineapple gommage and I am pretty sure it’s a dupe for the YoGlow; it’s like £10 to £20 for 100 ml. So very affordable. I got that one too and it works exactly like YoGlow and I can recommend both! 💫
Could you please make video about korean skincare and your recommendations :) also would be interested after you made a video about french cosmentics to see a video about other european cosmetics eg. German or Swedish
I would love to see a video dedicated to the family of MINERAL OILS / PARAFFIN. I am quite confused in terms of what the difference between PETROLATUM and PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM is. 😭
Hi Doctor! Can I use the cocokind ceramide serum after my vitamin C serum in the morning and before my retinol at night? Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us ❤️. I’m one of your super nerds 🥰
Okay #1 the teabag joke I literally died😂😂❤️ #2 I love what you said about makeup at the end I feel like I’ve been saying this almost religiously for years because we should be proud and happy to show our true self inside and outside without putting actual masks on🌎❤️
Ugh! You’re the only one i believe can help me. Wish i could see you! Just had a terrible appt at a derm that won’t address my skin barrier damage and with my extensive intel to help her help me, she was set on rosesca WHEN THATS NOT WHAT THIS IS! What she told me to do burned my face again! She’s gone extreme and it’s reckless to say redness on my face may be lupus! I’m a health expert that investigates health issues for a living. She’s nice but this is INSANE! I’ve learned a lot from you and wanted to get into see you since i live in nyc but can’t get in until January and my face is terrible. Thanks helping me more than anyone has whose seen me. Hope to see you soon.
Thank for this great video. Some of the products I’m already using and will purchase some you’ve shown. Allergies are terrible here in E TN, esp tree pollen. Flonase is my go to also. Have a great weekend and God bless! ❤️
I just love these videos I learn so much, I do have creams that I don’t use so I might use them up by putting them on my legs time passes and they will be getting near the use by date.
March and April can definitely be cold still; it's early Spring! Where I live, it doesn't usually get very hot until June; May is still pretty warm but not hot!
I'm 65. My skin surface is smooth and not red at all. Winter heat dries my under eye a lot however and I get lines that normally are not there. Copper peptides help but I wish I could avoid this if possible. Its instantly aging. My under eye puffs over night and this adds to the problem because the skin is stretched with the puffiness and takes hours to smooth out. Suggestions?
Thank you so much for this videos! I personally would like to know more about sunscreen filters - mineral ans chemical. Which ones are new, which ones are stable, which ones work better against hipper pigmentation. How can we combine sunscreens when we reapply? How can we mix ss to make the perfect colour for us? I mix tined and white ss from the same brand and line. Is that ok?
I really like the procure rosacare. It has licorice root extract. I don't have rosacea but I am fair and prone to redness and this stuff is magical if my skin is red. It calms the redness almost instantly. I found it because of Dr Dray
Me, too! It’s in my (very small) holy grails. Will not ever be without it. Have multiple backups and also give it to my kids when they have issues. I use it in the mornings only as I prefer a more occlusive moisturizer at night because of water loss.
Thanks you Dr. Idriss for your videos, I have learned a lot. I would like to see a mature acne prone skincare routine to see how and which products to use. I am talking about light acne but still bothersome (1 or 2 pimples over face). Thank you so much for your time.
Do you recommend working these products in, as far as store or Sephora type brands… versus brands like ZO skin or Skin Better? I have acne prone skin and am just trying to figure it out! Trying to decide whether or not to add in tretinoin, differin, or just splurging on med grade skin care? Thanks so much! Absolutely LOVING your channel!!!!!!
Thank you for mentioning your friend, Uba? (I think) and her tapping tip with the sunscreen! I stopped using this because it would pill on my face :( Now that the season is changing my and My barrier is repairing, I will try tapping the SuperGoop!
I know people are iffy about celeb skincare lines but people should try KEYS SOULCARE. From the cleanser to the moisturizer it has brightened my skin and calmed it.
I really wish to see YTTP products get under Dr. Idris’s radar…they have a variety of serums and exfoliants with the key ingredients she talks about. For example, what do you think about their Mandelic Acid toner, Dr?
I’m thankful I found you and you recommended laRoche cicaplast baume. It has been a lifesaver healing my skin barrier after retinol. Do you have an opinion on using growth factors, specifically LaMieux TGF? Thanks!!
thank you so much for this amazing video Dr. Idriss!! I was wondering, do we need to double cleanse if we use a tinted sunscreen like glowscreen but no makeup at the end of the day?
I use coconut oil and a soft cloth to help get my sunscreen off, then I wash with my regular cleanser. If I skip the coconut oil step, then I wash, rinse, and wash once more.

Hello 👏 how are you doing today?
Thank you for the video, Shereene! definitely need to try that soft scrub to remove dry patches.
btw: as we're getting closer to summer season, plus people start traveling, is it possible to have tips for hot humid/tropic like climate routine? Especially for those who have drier skin, needs to hydrate, but to keep face oils at bay during the day due to humidity and heat. Plus how to fight break out due to heat/sweating. Also some people have sun allergies (not sure what it called). Another people need to fight oil glow etc... I feel like it's a huge topic to unfold.
“You can let the two teabags-and that’s what she said-sit on your eyes” 😂😂😂
Thank you so much for all your awesome videos! Out of this video I use the Glow Screen & love it❤️Question: How do we deal with crepey neck skin that’s starting to unfortunately happen?
Arigatou Shereene sensei🌟✨💞
Hi Dr.
I love sunscreen as a foundation primer that does add an amazing glow!
hello 👏 Trust you're doing well and staying safe
I love your videos! I wish I had a Dermatologist like you growing up with Acne. So much helpful information in every video!
I wish I had her when I was in college and had no blinkin' idea how to care for my skin. I always had zits just from poor cleansing. Now my skin glows - I'm definitely one of her skin nerds.😊
@@meggarstang6761 hello 👏 Trust you're doing well and staying safe
Hey just wanted to put it out there (I’m a pharmacist) that Flonase and other steroid nasal sprays do not cause rebound congestion and can be (and are used) daily for allergic rhinitis. Nasal decongestant sprays like Afrin are the ones that you need to worry about rebound congestion.
Thanks for information and empowering words !! 😀 I always had great skin until my late 20s! Now I battle with acne, dry skin, dark spots etc. I would like to maybe see a video on foods/ diet and if it really does affect your skin ? Or is it a myth ? Thank you!!
hello 👏 Trust you're doing well and staying safe
Avoid oil in your food, it can aggravate acne.
Shereene! Literally rewatching this video while doing spring cleaning 😜😜😜🤣
Dr Jard+ Every Sun Day and Anessa sunscreens are also nice. Glow screen makes my textured skin look like disco ball lol but it’s beautiful on you 💕
As always you made starting my Saturday the absolute best! Thank you! This was most helpful!
Yes, please make a video on gommage!
Hi Dr. Idriss! My sister is getting married in 8 months and I am trying to grow my hair out long and healthy. If you ever have the time, I would really appreciate a video on proven ways to improve hair health and increase growth ❤️❤️
hello 👏 i hope you're having a great day?
The Wishful YoGlow gommage is one of my favourites too!! I love the one that is Tropical Fruits - smells amazing 😻 Revolution Skincare also have a pineapple gommage and I am pretty sure it’s a dupe for the YoGlow; it’s like £10 to £20 for 100 ml. So very affordable.
I got that one too and it works exactly like YoGlow and I can recommend both! 💫
Hello 👏 how are you doing today?
Could you please make video about korean skincare and your recommendations :) also would be interested after you made a video about french cosmentics to see a video about other european cosmetics eg. German or Swedish
I would love to see a video dedicated to the family of MINERAL OILS / PARAFFIN. I am quite confused in terms of what the difference between PETROLATUM and PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM is. 😭
The former is more like a wax or jelly and the latter is liquid (also called mineral oil depending on the country).
@@collegeopera Hello 👏 how are you doing today?
Yeeeees I've been waiting for this videoooooo🧡🧡🧡
Can you tell us when healing the skin moisture barrier….what’s the best sunscreens to use?
Have to watch all ur videos without hesitation
Hi Doctor! Can I use the cocokind ceramide serum after my vitamin C serum in the morning and before my retinol at night?
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us ❤️. I’m one of your super nerds 🥰
I loved this video as usual! Thank you!!!
hello 👏 i hope you're having a great day?
Okay #1 the teabag joke I literally died😂😂❤️ #2 I love what you said about makeup at the end I feel like I’ve been saying this almost religiously for years because we should be proud and happy to show our true self inside and outside without putting actual masks on🌎❤️
Great information and the presentation is so authentic and relatable 😆
Hello 👏 how are you doing today?
Thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for all your videos and sharing with us your amazing knowledge! So helpful🥰
hello 👏 Trust you're doing well and staying safe
I do that. ♡ I use things up on my body when I want to get rid of it. ♡
Another exceptionally informative and entertaining video from the BEST !
Can you do a video on talc and pros and cons?
Girl these products are an arm and a leg! Insane ! You should do a video with products that people can actually afford !!
Hello 👏 how are you doing today?
I would love to know what you think of BB glow treatment
Love you and your videos!!! What if my skin is sooo oily
Could you please do an update on your fav niacinamide products for sensitive skin?
Thank for this great video. Some of the products I’m already using and will purchase some you’ve shown. Allergies are terrible here in E TN, esp tree pollen. Flonase is my go to also. Have a great weekend and God bless! ❤️
hello 👏 Trust you're doing well and staying safe
Thank you for all your videos. My skin has been so much better from using the aveeno serum over the hyaluronic acid I was using.
I just love these videos I learn so much, I do have creams that I don’t use so I might use them up by putting them on my legs time passes and they will be getting near the use by date.
Hello 👏 how are you doing today?
March and April can definitely be cold still; it's early Spring! Where I live, it doesn't usually get very hot until June; May is still pretty warm but not hot!
Love your Channel! Just discover it 😃
Can you make a video about scalp health?
Hi Dr Shreen, i admire all your effort and videos,i have a question, is it true that Vaseline results in milia on skin?
Hello Dr. Sherene. I would like to know your opinion about using collagen supplements for the skin, nails and hair.
Is that ok?
You're so pretty!
Hi! Love all the videos!! Thank you! I’ve been seeing all this craze about Tretinoin. Wondering if you can do a video on that? Thanks 🙏🏻
Wonderful video!!! So informative as always but in a fun Shereenecway! Thank you!!!!
hello 👏 Trust you're doing well and staying safe
Merci Shereene 🙏
I love the goofball nature of your videos
I really like the procure rosacare. It has licorice root extract. I don't have rosacea but I am fair and prone to redness and this stuff is magical if my skin is red. It calms the redness almost instantly. I found it because of Dr Dray
Me, too! It’s in my (very small) holy grails. Will not ever be without it. Have multiple backups and also give it to my kids when they have issues. I use it in the mornings only as I prefer a more occlusive moisturizer at night because of water loss.
@@sassypineapple yep me too. I always have a backup
😍 dr dray has saved my skin, also watch Dr iriss now
Hi,
Can you please do a review on electrical current like nuface devices?!
Thank you so much..really loved this😊
What do you think of chemical peels and the skin barrier? Thank you so much, Theresa
Thanks you Dr. Idriss for your videos, I have learned a lot. I would like to see a mature acne prone skincare routine to see how and which products to use. I am talking about light acne but still bothersome (1 or 2 pimples over face). Thank you so much for your time.
hello 👏 i hope you're having a great day?
Do you recommend working these products in, as far as store or Sephora type brands… versus brands like ZO skin or Skin Better? I have acne prone skin and am just trying to figure it out! Trying to decide whether or not to add in tretinoin, differin, or just splurging on med grade skin care? Thanks so much! Absolutely LOVING your channel!!!!!!
Thank you for mentioning your friend, Uba? (I think) and her tapping tip with the sunscreen! I stopped using this because it would pill on my face :( Now that the season is changing my and My barrier is repairing, I will try tapping the SuperGoop!
agh! thank you! soooo good (and such a nerd)!
Yah! I can read it. Thank you!!!
Thanks!!
Hello 👏 how are you doing today?
Great recommendations, I have a problem with moisturizers penetrating into the skin any recommendations? Thanks ☺️
What great tips and advise super goop glow is on my drawer 💕
hello 👏 i hope you're having a great day?
Hi Dr. Shereene, if our moisturizer has spf of atleast 30, should we still wear an additional SPF product? Thank you 🙏🏽 for all you do.
hello 👏 Trust you're doing well and staying safe
thank you so much for this amazing video Dr.
