I’m two years late but I love love love the paisley feather and I can’t believe all these years I’ve been sewing in the ditch and ur instructions were so clear and easy to go back try and rewind. U made my day 2 years later can’t wait to try more designs on my home sewing machine. Woo 2 the hoo
I love this! Your quilting is the reason I watch your show. More of this please!!!! I disagree with the person who says it was too fast. I loved the pacing! I can pause and go back. But I get impatient when they go SO slow on other tutorials.
I love to watch you quilt . Angela , you are a human quilting machine , such beautiful work . Hopefully someday I can do what you do . Keep up the great job you are doing .
Thank you so much for your videos! They encourage me so much to fibally not hesitate anymore and try quilting. Most time i am like 'wow this looks pretty and i wanna do it' but then I hesitate 'how the Heck am i gonna do it?? Can I even?' You help me find the knowledge, skills and courage for it :)
Jeannie George me too! and walking foot cross-hatch lines. I just completed 2 Christmas panels for wall hangings (free motion but I followed the lines in the print!) and think I might be ready to try this!
Fantastic tutorial - one of your best. The quilting explanations were very clear and I appreciate you including the free directions for the zipper pouch. I've been doing more FMQ lately using your dot to dot method and I really like the results. I always say "I am chanelling my inner Angela Walters" when I do it. Thanks for all you do.
Yes, everyone’s brain works differently, I was thinking ‘water balloons’ when you were quilting the ribbon candy, great easy project to practice with. Thanks Angela.
Great video!! Your tutorials are always fun and informative! Love your personality! I turned 50 yesterday and I'm loving this new hobby and I've learned so much from you! For my birthday, me and my grand daughter are taking a trip to Liberty Mo to Quilting Is My Therapy! I'm so excited!!!
At first I was sad we didn't get to see a quilt be bien, but it was actually nice to cet another fun, quick and easy project. Great for gift ideas, FMQ practicing and also I love all of your FMQ videos, so I actually really enjoyed this video. Thanks Angela and Bluprint. ☺️
You are amazing! Thank you for taking the "scary" out of quilting. I just started making zipper pouches and today I am going to try this quilted zipper pouch. I have a quilting machine and I have been sewing for almost 50 years but today is my first try at free motion quilting. I am going in!
I’m a beginner . I was told to always start quilting from the center out is this correct. I have not quilted yet kinda nervous to start. I love your videos.
Love the quilting you used on the zipper pouch. So pretty. I've made those at Christmas and handed them out. Seems like I need to do that again. Thanks for posting.
Your videos just keep getting better, Angela! For those of us who fear FMQ, it's great to see your quilting techniques in motion, so thanks for sharing with us. Hey, this pouch basically uses small pieces of fabric, right? Great for practicing FMQ :-)
Hi Angela! I’m newer to watching you. Been watching for about 2 weeks and have seen so many of your already(they’re addicting). All shows are awesome, as are you! I’m curious, it looks like your quilt tops are quilted differently than your backs? Am I seeing things or do you do them separately? If so how? I was taught to sandwich, quilt top, batting and then back ground fabric. Because of you I’m going to start practicing free motion quilting with some of your designs. I just do super basic swirls. Thanks
Hi! I literally stumbled upon your videos one night when stress induced insomnia (I have four boys...and husband😬😬😵)kept me up watching RUclips one night and now I am determined to QUILT! But I just own a regular sewing machine, a BROTHER CS6000i. I have a walking foot and a hopper for free motion quilting...But can I do the kind of quilting you do on a regular sewing machine? Can a novice, only as needed sewer jump into quilting? Where do I begin? Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you❤
Doesn't look like you got a response - but I would join quilting facebook groups. I love them right now. Lots of other people there to help you with questions. I use that same machine and its great for it!
This is going to sound like a dumb question but I'm brand spanking new to quilting. What do you put in between your two fabrics to make it thicker so that when you free sew, the stitching leaves dimension?
Good grief, those serpentine lines made me queasy! Had to look away. Then the paisley feather in fast motion - yikes! :-D Cute bag! (I miss the days when it was just Angela's show rather than collaborative/advertising for classes.)
I'm feeling so comfortable now that this is achievable, I can pull out my sewing machine and make this! THANK YOU ANGELA. Could there be a video on this and working with vinyl, a see through pouch with a quilted boarder around the pouch?
Love it (and all your videos)! Could you have left the zipper open and sewn around all 4 sides and turned it right side out through the zipper? I'd have to try it to see if it works, my brain doesn't work that way just thinking about it...lol
Thanks for explaining these designs as I am trying to fmq for the first time every... all I have done is straight-ish designs that echo my piecing but I want to get away from that into fun curves!!!
Wonderful to see you showing this class I have done it and am loving making the journal covers in particular. Angela I love your work and your videos but whoever edited this one is not my favourite. The fast segments are so fast I actually felt a bit ill, not sure if it was just me but it made it difficult to enjoy the tutorial as much as your others. Thank you for all your hard work.
Karen, I think it was watching the swirling free motion that was making you feel ill...close your eyes when that comes on. The editing was fine. I think you can even slow down the video - click on settings and playback...
I’m feeling a bit smug at this moment... why? Bc before watching this video, I predicted that Angela would show us the wishbone, the serpentine lines, and a feather, and I was pretty darn close! Big MQS fan here!
I have never seen quilting gloves like that. I bought some with a swan on them with the same concept, but some of the stitching is already coming out on them. I am on the hung for the perfect gloves. I've tried so many.
Love the video and will definitely be trying these. Great use for the practice pieces I've quilted on. But I definitely had to check that my playback speed was on normal because the video and your voice sounded very sped up.
You all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Armani Kenneth I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Hi I am a technology challenged viewer who thoroughly enjoys your shows. I have a question where is the box to get the information about projects from? Today u mentioned Christina’s name but I don’t know where to look for the I fo u say this there.I have subscribed and I get notices but where do I get information on the projects? Anyone out there and answer this and thank u?
Angela I have a favor. I went to Bluprint and bought the t-shirt quilt pattern but when I tried to print it the last two days I can't get into Bluprint. Is there anyway you can send the pattern to me? Please help me?
Tina Reutin I don’t know what Angela does, but a silicon mat does help quite a lot, it greatly reduces fatigue. Besides some sort of quilting gloves, it is the best thing I purchased to make quilting easier.
I'm wondering why you would waste the backing fabric that's hidden by the liner fabric? Wouldn't it make more sense to use a fusible fleece on outer fabric instead and quilt it?
Please no wine or food! Disaster will happen at some point. Also many people have issues with drink or snacking - don’t encourage them. Love what you have shown us - you make it look do-able. Thank you.
You know, it is very different from regular garment sewing, which is my background. The first attempts sort of felt wrong, you know, intentionally not seeing straight? But it comes pretty quickly, and is very relaxing. I takes practice, but give it a try, make some pot holders or a similar item where it is not essential for it to look great. I made a sofa blanket, I can find the mistakes, which are many, but everyone else sees the overall product.
Think about what you would pay for it, if you found one at a craft show...ask other 'makers' what they would pay for it (only ask other crafters as they know how much time it takes to make handcrafted items)....I'd pay about $10-$12.
When making your quilted sandwich... Why use a backing fabric if it's not going to show? I've been experimenting and haven't had any problems machine quilting without a backing fabric... Even high loft polyester batting quilts like a dream without a backing fabric. 💝☀🌵
@@winterzee, hmm? I guess it a matter of finances. I'd rather spend a few minutes dealing with a little lint (which I do every bobbin change anyway) than use a piece of fabric that costs $7-15 per yard that nobody's going to see or even know that's there.... Truth is, on this little bag, I'd use a backing and skip the lining. 😉. Sending lots of love💝 from sunny ☀Arizona 🌵
Angela, I am in awe of your talent! You are an Inspiration to this old-timer. Practice, practice, practice!

🤣🤣 that list of things for the pouch!! Biscuits and gravy!! Love it
Looks amazing
I think this is Angela at her best: lots of energy, lots of personality, lots of artistry, lots of teaching.
This is the perfect instructional video to venture into my first attempt at quilting -- so far I have only done "stitch in the ditch". Thanks Angela!
Jeannie George me too! and walking foot cross-hatch lines. I just completed 2 Christmas panels for wall hangings (free motion but I followed the lines in the print!) and think I might be ready to try this!

Your gift of fmq is amazing, seems so natural for you.
My 7yo son Fern would like to know when your middle daughter will help with another video 😂 We love your videos!
Wonderful video, Angela!!
Hee hee, I looked up just in time to see "Biscuits and Gravy" scroll across my screen! I love your humor Angela :D
amazing you make it look so easy
At first I was sad we didn't get to see a quilt be bien, but it was actually nice to cet another fun, quick and easy project. Great for gift ideas, FMQ practicing and also I love all of your FMQ videos, so I actually really enjoyed this video. Thanks Angela and Bluprint. ☺️
I would have to draw all these designs before I start the quilting. You are so talented
You are so good at that free motion quilting. Well done.
I LOVE THIS!!.
I've been making these but the lining method is new to me. Thanks for sharing! They make great matching pouches for baby quilt gifts too!
I 💕 that paisley feather!
I’m hyperventilating - you are amazing as a free motion quilter and teacher! Boy I will need to practice practice practice!!
You are amazing! Thank you for taking the "scary" out of quilting. I just started making zipper pouches and today I am going to try this quilted zipper pouch. I have a quilting machine and I have been sewing for almost 50 years but today is my first try at free motion quilting. I am going in!

Thank you so much for the lesson. You are the best teacher (and my favorite). Can't wait for the next one.
Uso
How gorgeous. I wish I could quilt this beautifully. I keep trying. Your amazing🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I took the class and loved it. I make the journal covers all the time for quick gifts.
Awesome idea. Love this idea.
Now, if I could only find my zipper foot.......😜
Lol....hope you found it. 🤓
Love that paisley feather! 😍
Love your videos 👍💕❤️💜💖💗☺️ Loving all the goodies I received from your Shop. Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Love the quilting you used on the zipper pouch. So pretty. I've made those at Christmas and handed them out. Seems like I need to do that again. Thanks for posting.
YES!!! I LOVE this and I'm going to try it.
Beautiful
For biscuits and gravy I would recommend using a fusible vinyl on the lining. :)
Love how easy you make these stitches....and the great tips you provide. 💖
So beautuful
Your videos just keep getting better, Angela! For those of us who fear FMQ, it's great to see your quilting techniques in motion, so thanks for sharing with us. Hey, this pouch basically uses small pieces of fabric, right? Great for practicing FMQ :-)
J'adore votre travail merci beaucoup
Wonderful...now I have a purpose for all my FMQ practice sandwiches from the past 3 years....Thank You!
I just love you. Please keep going and show your wonderful work!

your best tutorial ever
Brilliant! A useful item from our practice pieces.
This is going to sound like a dumb question but I'm brand spanking new to quilting. What do you put in between your two fabrics to make it thicker so that when you free sew, the stitching leaves dimension?
Love, love it! I’m on the road right now to Kansas from Denver! I’m praying I’ll see you tomorrow! I love you and your videos!!!! So inspirational!
What is going on I’m not getting any more of your videos are you still the midnight quilter? I really miss you you are my favorite to watch
You make it look so easy. My goodness. How do you manage to do that? Which machine do you have?
Absolutely love this video, thank you Angela 😍
Good grief, those serpentine lines made me queasy! Had to look away. Then the paisley feather in fast motion - yikes! :-D Cute bag! (I miss the days when it was just Angela's show rather than collaborative/advertising for classes.)
Agree Angela before Bluprint even better, but some Angela better than none.
I loved this. I watch all of Christina’s classes on Bluprint. I have made so many of her journals too!!!
I'm feeling so comfortable now that this is achievable, I can pull out my sewing machine and make this! THANK YOU ANGELA. Could there be a video on this and working with vinyl, a see through pouch with a quilted boarder around the pouch?
Biscuits and gravy! YES GIRL!😂😍
You are so good wish I could do this good!
Thank you so much. You are Absolutely the BEST!
I love this! I have trouble syncing my foot pedal with my hands and can't free motion quilt that easily. :(
Great ideas!
I love how you did this video! I will be making some of these! Great way to practice for sure!

will you only be on blueprint ? I wait for the notifications to watch your videos, I will have to go on Blueprint and re subscribe.
I am a Bluprint subscriber and Christina’s class was one of my first choices! Love the journal covers in particular 👍
How do you manage a quilt in a regular sewing machine? I'm trying FMQ for the 1st time on a 60"x60" quilt. It looks like I was drunk when I did this.
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing! Was wondering what to do with all my “practice “ sandwiches.
love the video. One other thing how did you husband take the news about the t shirts you cut up?
Jajajaja I was thinking about that for a while 😅😅😅
Angela, I love your gloves! Where can I get some?
Where did you get those gloves loved them and want a pair for my quilting. Love you show thanks for teaching an old dog new tricks LOL
She sells them in her store. Google "quilting in my therapy" to find the site.
What weight thread is this? Your stitches are to die for 😍
Beautfal, Thanks 💖💖
I love it

@Armani Kenneth it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D

@Joel Eugene Happy to help xD

Click that tiny down arrow right to the right side of the name of the video (under the video). That will lead you to more information.
Angela I have a favor. I went to Bluprint and bought the t-shirt quilt pattern but when I tried to print it the last two days I can't get into Bluprint. Is there anyway you can send the pattern to me? Please help me?
Sew fun!
No. I didn’t mess up. That’s what we call “Unintentional Customization” 🤣🤣
Do you have a silicon mat underneath the panel to make the movement to quilt easier, dear Angela?
Tina Reutin I don’t know what Angela does, but a silicon mat does help quite a lot, it greatly reduces fatigue. Besides some sort of quilting gloves, it is the best thing I purchased to make quilting easier.
This is great! I'm curious, what machine do you use?
I would like to know where I can get the gloves that you have on thanks w
What sewing machine do you use?
How do you baste your quilts without getting overspray all over your space?
I'm wondering why you would waste the backing fabric that's hidden by the liner fabric? Wouldn't it make more sense to use a fusible fleece on outer fabric instead and quilt it?
My 8 year old daughter thinks it looks like a mermaid bag. :)
What you keep in between a sponge or something else in quilting
I still want to know where you got your gloves
what little iron do you use in this video?
❤️❤️❤️
Please no wine or food! Disaster will happen at some point. Also many people have issues with drink or snacking - don’t encourage them.
Love what you have shown us - you make it look do-able. Thank you.
Angelina I tried to design a 4 pt star square. It turned into a lovely 5 pt star. Ugh help
Is it just me or does the dreamy music remind you of Classic Hollywood? I love these designs; however, I am terrified of FMQ.
I thought the same thing!
You know, it is very different from regular garment sewing, which is my background. The first attempts sort of felt wrong, you know, intentionally not seeing straight? Replying to the music, I like FMQ even though I'm quite wobbly.

If one were to make these to sell at a craft show, how much would you charge?
Think about what you would pay for it, if you found one at a craft show...ask other 'makers' what they would pay for it (only ask other crafters as they know how much time it takes to make handcrafted items)....I'd pay about $10-$12.
Thank you for your opinion, that’s what I thought for a price too.
The bluebrint link in the description doesn’t work for me.
When making your quilted sandwich... Why use a backing fabric if it's not going to show? I've been experimenting and haven't had any problems machine quilting without a backing fabric... Even high loft polyester batting quilts like a dream without a backing fabric. 💝☀🌵
I find that I get more fuzz and lint in my machine if I don't have a backing.

@@suzisaintjames Or use muslin for the backing...or any old scrap of fabric, for that matter!
