Not impressed by the watches and what you get for the money, discounts included. The stuttery horrible Miyota, their worst movement by far. I realy like these double domed sapphire Divers that look vintage but it realy would not cost much more for 200m and for the price I would expect a miyota 9015 or 2824 eta clone like the pt5000, both are good 28,800bph movements (if the company uses good qc) and when it comes service time just buy a new movement and sell the old one on ebay. All of these watches are made in China and only when you start going into the tudor price range or vintage watches are they not. That and bad Insomnia does not help. My father allways told me if I work for others in a 9 to 5 I will allways be unhappy in life.. Nearly all the money I make I save or invest, most physical objects don't make me happy apart from a few watches but it would hurt me to pay some of the asking prices from some company's. But unlike mostly disposable or stuff that will go out of date in a few years, warches kind of last forever and are great to keep in the family. It's a very sentimental item. I'm helping the famous guy on Ali who made warches marked vostok ampbia start a new line with a good name and what western people want. Usually the expensive brands like San Martin have the warches with pt5000, vintage style and good lume kind of cornered but their asking price is about 3x that of what it should be while still being able to make good profit. I will get my Squale Gmt today, if I don't like it I will send it back but the price was too good, after that nothing is realy on my radar apart from a serviced trench watch from ww1 to the 1920s. I have no problem with some wild or quirky watches, I'm planning to build a Coke gmt when the NH34 is cheap with a dial that says coca cola just for fun. But no rhyme or reason to copy or replicate a vostok. I said I would help him with naming but I physically could not buy a pagani or mysterious code. Each year in China at around Christmas the westerners that worked in China we would do a secret santa in this one bar and the aim was to buy the most crazy chinglish t-shirt you could find. Some where wild. I have seen stores that have the English name of translation service error.....
Very nice but I've never bought into the industry lore about water resistance meaning,100 m is plenty as no recreational diver goes below 50m .Also when tested all watches survive 2 or 3 times their stated depth ,Finally if a company sold a watch with 100m on the dial and it failed at 50m they would be sued and rightfully so .I honestly think someone who has never dived made up that stuff about less than 200m is only for swimming .Rant over .love the watch looks great !
Pfff, it does not work this way. Water resistance of 50m means that the watch can withstand the THEORETICAL pressure of 50m standing water column without letting the water in. Practically, you can easily generate such pressure just moving your hand with the watch fast only 1 (one) meter deep under the water. It means, if you want not only swimm, but also to dive with the watch, you should add deep pressure on top to the moving resistance of the water. That's why '100m' is a MUST for snorkeling/mild diving and '200m' and more for saturation-diving.
@@bogdanmaidanik Absoloute nonsense .a mechanical watch rated at 200m is good for at least 600m before the pressure of the case stops the movement .If you fill a 100 m quartz watch with oil its good for 3000m that's three thousand metres ,
@@Dave062YT And how does it relate to my explanation? Quartz movement has way less moving parts in comparison to mechanical watch and oil density helps to withstand the external pressure a lot better, however its density is susceptible to the change of the temperature. And I hope you realise, the case is not the weakest part, as crown seal and glass hermetic are another risky points? It may be possible that the watch with 200m rating can withstand the pressure of 600m, but the manufacturers can guarantee the proper functioning only at indicated pressure (be sure they would state more, if they could).

I ordered a dozen cadisen 38mm vintage 300 seamaster style watches as I thought that's a good low wholesale price.
I put one on ebay and as soon as I looked at my suppliers price list they doubled the price.
As it got good reviews lol so I had to make up some bs about running out of stock.
A company that has some great watches but their awful lume ruins all but 1 is tandorio and of course I had to order them sterile as well you don't want to wear a brand that sounds like an Indian chicken curry dish.
Great cases and sizes, everything great but the lume is just so bad apart from the 62mas so I just ordered more of those.
Over the next 2 years I would say that alot of nice used and maybe new watches will come from Europe and the UK due to the cost of living crisis (can't tell the time if your frozen) also its very possible that with the situation in China with many being out of work for brands to maybe have big sales.
I have recently found quite a few Chinese watchmakers laid off work and they are just making and selling to order.
(I even talked to the guy that made these crazy vostok amphibia marked watches and told him why would you copy a brand like that, he said he has no idea what westerners want so just took that name as it was not like Russia could do anything..........
I hope you can help those who got laid off their work! One way is to help give insights to what the Western markets want.
When it comes to the recession, I might not participate in the buying anymore. I'm sure there will be a lot of good deals to have! But my heart's not into acquiring anymore, but enjoying what I have.
Thanks for watching the video Luke!
@@AliasEveWatches I won't be making any more personal purchases but I buy and sell watches as a part time gig.
Mostly imports from China and Japan but some Swiss stuff and used stuff.
I also buy used gold jewelry or scrap gold and if I can be bothered extract it myself (chemicals and low temperatures).
Since I'm self employed and at the moment a lull in well everything I just look for part time stuff to make money, I realy have a problem working for others unless I like them or they need me so much they can't afford to piss me off.
I have my great grandfathers ww1 pocket watch but I just find a replacement mainspring spring for it.
@@luked2767 I'm curious about this famous guy on Aliexpress! What's his Aliexpress store called?
@@AliasEveWatches he has a few stores, he is a nice guy and a migrant worker (in China people have family reg books so people from the countryside can go work in the big city for good money but they sure as hell can't get any government benefits and this includes subsidised hospitals, education and low cost housing and other stuff so you have this sad reality of most people in the countyside being the elderly and children, the elderly look after the children as they can't afford schooling or a large house in the city.
Some parents do not see their children for years, most try to visit twice a year or at least at Chinese New year but they are usually the backbone of the labour force and class transition is possible its just rarer now)
I only know this as I lived in China.
Anyway he ordered alot of watches that look like vostoks and some that did not like a nh35 no date subs with a 9 o'clock crown that has vostok amphibia on the dial.
@@luked2767 "translation service error" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i'd want that shirt!
Good luck to your friend and his business! Please tell him i said 祝他好运。
I guess that's true! I don't really dive, mostly I've only done snorkeling which isn't pretty deep. 😅 For me, I'd feel safe with 100m WR.
@@bogdanmaidanik Absoloute nonsense .a mechanical watch rated at 200m is good for at least 600m before the pressure of the case stops the movement .If you fill a 100 m quartz watch with oil its good for 3000m that's three thousand metres ,
@@bogdanmaidanik There you go I'll give you something to pfft ha ha
ruclips.net/video/FwNFy2A7rmU/видео.html&ab_channel=Beyondthepress
@@Dave062YT And how does it relate to my explanation? Quartz movement has way less moving parts in comparison to mechanical watch and oil density helps to withstand the external pressure a lot better, however its density is susceptible to the change of the temperature. And I hope you realise, the case is not the weakest part, as crown seal and glass hermetic are another risky points? It may be possible that the watch with 200m rating can withstand the pressure of 600m, but the manufacturers can guarantee the proper functioning only at indicated pressure (be sure they would state more, if they could).
$600 for a desk diver with a citizen movement. No thank you
It's a tough price point for a Miyota 8215 for sure!
@@AliasEveWatches I would rather buy a watch from islander watches or around $300 or less with much better specs
Lost me at 100m
Yeah ☹️ The 100m is unfortunate.
