I would love to crochet this very delicate pattern it is so beautiful can you please let me what is the size of the yarn and the hook as well thank you so much❤😊
Thank you very much for your comment. I highly recommend crocheting this square, because it's wonderful and relaxing to crochet them and the result is just so beautiful. For this square, I bend Drops Merino extra fine and a 4.5 mm. crochet hook. But you can actually use any yarn you want.❤😊
Thank you for your kind words! 🥰I'm thrilled to hear that you find the tutorials easy to follow. Making crocheting accessible is always a goal, and I'm glad it's working for you. If there are any specific tutorials or topics you'd like to see in the future, feel free to share your suggestions. Happy learning! 🌟😊
First, thank you sooo much for this tutorial. I’m currently making a blanket thanks to this video! How would you personally connect these squares? Thanks!!! :)
You’re very welcome!🥰 I'm thrilled to hear that you're making a blanket with the help of the tutorial. Personally, I like to use the whip stitch or a crochet join to connect squares, as they both provide a neat finish. If you need more detailed instructions on these methods, feel free to ask! Happy crocheting! ❤
This is an amazing motif! Thank you for uploading your video, which is so well explained and easy to follow. Looks amazing when joined (I'm making a throw). May I suggest for fellow crocheters method of joining? Since I don't like sewing, instead of last round of single cr all round, I chained 3, skipped 1 stitch and single crochet in the next stitch and so on, including corners. Then I joined as I go with single cr, Ch1, slip stitch to join, skip stitch and single crochet and so on... It's just a suggestion for someone who doesn't know or can't decide how to join 😉. Looks absolutely gorgeous 👍
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your joining method!🥰 Your suggestion sounds like a fantastic alternative for crocheters who prefer to join motifs as they go without sewing. It's great to have different options available to suit various preferences and needs. I'm glad to hear that your throw is turning out beautifully, and I'm sure your suggestion will be helpful to others as well. Happy crocheting, and thanks again for sharing your tip! 🌟🧶
Thank you for the lovely message! Sending lots of love and blessings right back to you from here in Denmark! I'm so happy to hear you did it-what an achievement! ❤️✨🙌
Thank you so much! 💕 I'm so happy you enjoy the tutorials! And no, it doesn’t really matter if you use a magic ring instead of a chain 5. The magic ring can give a tighter, more closed center, so it’s a great alternative! Just go with whichever method you feel more comfortable with. 😊 Happy crocheting! 🧶
I wonder if you could tell us in your videos what size yarn and hook you use so ours can look like yours. Your pictures look pretty and mine don't come out like yours. I'm thinking I'm using yarn thicker than yours.
That's a great suggestion! I'll make sure to include the yarn weight and hook size information in my future videos so you can replicate the results more accurately.🥰 Sometimes even small differences in yarn weight or hook size can make a big impact on the final outcome. I used DK worsted weight yarn and a 4.5 mm. hook🧶✨
Hi🥰 I used drops merino extra fine. It is DK worsted weight merino wool. It is a very nice yarn to work with, especially for beginners, as it is very soft and has good elasticity. For beginners, I would recommend this yarn or similar wool yarn.
I love your patterns. My first time msking granny squares & throw was from you. Good instructions. It’s lovely. For this project please tell what size yarn, what type yarn and hook. Did I miss something?
Thank you so much for your positive feedback it's always so nice to hear when someone has enjoyed my videos, it just gives me motivation to make more 🥰 For this square you can actually use any yarn that you like. For a light summer blanket, it would probably be nice to use some #2 Egyptian cotton yarn. But for the sake of clarity, I have chosen to use a slightly thicker yarn for this video. I use #3 or Light / DK / Light Worsted and a 4.5 mm. crochet hook.
That's absolutely wonderful to hear!🥰 I'm thrilled that as a beginner, you found the tutorial easy to follow and that it helped you in your crochet journey. Congratulations on your progress so far, and keep up the fantastic work! If you ever have any questions or need further assistance as you continue to learn and grow in crochet, feel free to reach out. Happy crocheting, and wishing you many more enjoyable projects ahead! 🌟🧶
im doing a second one and realized i didnt do a chain 2 from the second row between the 2 double crochets but im not restarting that its crooked but tis fine lol
It’s great that you’re continuing with your project! 😊 Small mistakes like that are a normal part of learning and often add character to your work. As long as you’re happy with the result, that’s what matters most. Your perseverance is fantastic-keep going and enjoy the process! 💪🧶
That sounds like a lovely project idea! To join as you go with this type of border there are a few different methods to use. Here is a tutorial on how to join solid granny squares as you go: ruclips.net/video/CJzpMMp5yd4/видео.htmlsi=0b2U4hsi3180Zi1T
Thank you so much for your kind words 🥰 I recommend that you sew the squares together using the whip stitch or crochet with slip stitch in back loops only. Best of luck with your project 🤗💐
Great pattern. The joins and corners are well done. The open areas are consistent in size and shape. Maintains a square finished shape. Absolutely love this. Thank you
I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tutorial and found the joins, corners, and overall shape well done! It sounds like you've created a beautiful project. Your positive feedback is much appreciated, and I'm glad the pattern worked out well for you. If you ever have more questions, need assistance with other patterns, or want to share your creations, feel free to reach out. Happy crafting! 😊🧵✨
Absolutely, that sounds like a great idea! Starting with granny squares is perfect because they're simple and versatile. You can create so many beautiful items with them once you get the hang of it. Enjoy your crocheting journey! 😊🧶✨
Thanks for sharing your experience! 😊 Sometimes using different yarn weights or hook sizes can definitely change how a project turns out. If your circle curled up, it might help to go up a hook size or loosen your tension even more. Don’t give up though-crochet is all about trial and error, and you’re so close! Maybe give it another go when you're ready, and feel free to reach out if you need any tips. You've got this! ✨🧶
@@AdoreCreaCrochet thanks for your encouragement I'm going to give it another try with a larger hook, as need to make this for a friend. Really appreciate you being here when needed 🥰
Hi! I'm planning to make this granny pattern into a cardigan. Do you think it'll turn out pretty? Or do you have some suggestions about which granny squares I should use for making a cardi? Thank you! ♡
Hello! That sounds like a fantastic project! 😍 The Victorian lattice granny square pattern can make a beautiful and intricate design for a cardigan. However, keep in mind that the openness of the lattice might result in a slightly airy fabric, so you might want to consider using a finer yarn. If you're looking for other granny square patterns that work well for cardigans, you might consider more solid or textured designs to provide warmth and structure. Classic solid granny squares, textured squares, or even square motifs with raised stitches can create a cozy and stylish cardigan. Feel free to experiment with different square patterns, color combinations, and joining methods to achieve the look you desire. Ultimately, the key is to choose a pattern that you love and enjoy working on. Best of luck with your cardigan project, and I'm sure it will turn out absolutely lovely! 😊❤
@@AdoreCreaCrochet I live in a tropical climate with high humidity. That's why I want the cardigan to be as thin as possible, sort of like a summer cardigan, but with long sleeves because I wear a hijab. Thank you for your suggestion, I'll keep that in mind! 🤗
You are very welcome🥰. Unfortunately, I can't figure out in my head how this square can be converted to half a square. It must be an experiment, for a later time. But feel free to try it out for yourself. Good luck with your project🌺
You're very welcome!🥰 I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tutorial, and I appreciate your kind words about my voice. If you have any more questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to see in future tutorials, feel free to let me know. Happy crafting 💗🌸😊
Hi! Great question! 😊 The amount of yarn you’ll need depends on the size of the granny squares and the weight of the yarn you're using. With DK yarn is takes about 15-20 grams, if you're making larger squares or using a heavier yarn, it could be more. 😊✨
You're very welcome! 🥰 I'm glad to hear that the steps were clear for you. If you ever have any questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. Happy crafting! 😊
Thank you so much for your comment🥰 I'm glad you love the pattern and have made a lot of them! When it comes to joining Granny Squares, one popular and visually appealing method is the "Join-as-you-go" technique. You can use a slip stitch or a single crochet to join the squares as you work the final round. Alternatively, if you've already completed your squares and want to join them afterward, you might consider using the "Whip Stitch" or "Mattress Stitch." These methods create a seamless and flat join. Experiment with a small section to see which method you prefer and which complements the overall look of your Squares. Happy crafting! 🌼😊
@@AdoreCreaCrochet thank you, I'll try joining them with slip stitch it may work, I did try the other too you mention but I did them in different colours and didn't like how I could see the seem, so I'll give it a try. If I don't like that I'll just have to suck it up and appetite the seem as is 🤔
Picked up crochet last weekend and I was able to finish this easily thanks to your step by step instructions!! Thank you! Definitely had to rewatch this video a ton of times but it was incredibly helpful

Thank you so much for your kind words!🥰 I'm thrilled to hear that my tutorials have helped you build your skills and confidence. Starting your first blanket is such an exciting milestone, and I'm honored to be a part of your crochet journey. Happy crocheting🧶✨
Hi, thank you for this great pattern & tutorial. I've done 4 of them now for a blanket I'm making. I'm curious about using multiple colors for this pattern. A different color for the center circle would be easy, but wondering how to make the flowers (with the holes) a different color. Any ideas?
Hi there! I'm glad you're enjoying the pattern and tutorial. Using multiple colors can add a beautiful and vibrant touch to your blanket. Here are some ideas on incorporating different colors for the flowers: As you mentioned, using a different color for the center circle is a great idea. You can choose a color that complements or contrasts with the color of the square. Remember to test your color combinations on a small swatch before committing to the entire blanket. This way, you can ensure that the colors work well together and achieve the desired effect. Have fun experimenting with colors, and I hope your blanket turns out beautifully! 😊❤
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT INSTRUCTIONS AND THEY ARE SO EASY TO FOLLOW. I"M GLAD I CAN STOP AND GO BACK IF I MISS SOMETHING OR AM WRITING YOUR DIRECTIONS DOWN. I USED A "J" HOOK FOR MINE . LOOKS GOOD BUT VERY BIG WHICH IS GREAT DUE TO HANDS. ONCE I GET THE HANG OF IT MAYBE I"LL TRY A SMALLER HOOK. I PLAN ON MAKING A SWEATER FOR ME. AGAIN, THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH.
You're very welcome! 🥰I'm thrilled to hear that you found the instructions easy to follow and that you're enjoying the process of crocheting. Thank you immensely for your kind words! I'm delighted to hear that you found the tutorial clear and concise, suitable for all levels of crocheters, including beginners. This is a beautiful square, your left thumb covers the model, just a suggestion...after a round show what you did. Everything else is perfect, thanks!
Thank you so much for your feedback! 🥰 I'm glad you liked the square. I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind and make sure to show the completed round more clearly next time. Thanks again for your kind words and helpful advice!❤️

Thank you so much ❤ God Bless you and your Family ❤😊
I love your tutorials you make it so easy to follow
Are you feeling ok now?
Thank you for asking! Yes, I'm feeling great. How about you? I hope you're doing well and enjoying your crafting projects! 😊🧶✨
Loads Of Loce & Blessings 🙌 🙏 ✨️ ❤️ from India.
I'm so Happy I did it
Thank you for the lovely message! Sending lots of love and blessings right back to you from here in Denmark! I'm so happy to hear you did it-what an achievement! ❤️✨🙌
Does it matter if I do a magic ring instead of chain 5 in the beginning?
btw, I love all your tutorials on granny squares
I used DK worsted weight yarn and a 4.5 mm. hook🧶✨
What type of yarn did you use for this? I tried cotton Dishie yarn, since it’s smooth, but it’s still misbehaving. My acrylic seemed too thick.
Hi🥰 I used drops merino extra fine. It is DK worsted weight merino wool. It is a very nice yarn to work with, especially for beginners, as it is very soft and has good elasticity. For beginners, I would recommend this yarn or similar wool yarn.
I made it! My first square ever..Thank you 😍
That´s so great to hear Congratulations on your success 💪💥I am glad that my video could help you a little bit on your way😊❤
Thanks for sharing 🥰👌so beautiful square💕💕
Thank you so much 🥰Yes I just love to make these squares. I highly recommend it💗
I love your patterns.
Im a beginner just approximately 2 weeks new to crochet, and i was able to follow you perfectly... Thank you so much!!
I want to make a shawl using this pattern. How would I join as I go with this type of boarder?
That sounds like a lovely project idea! To join as you go with this type of border there are a few different methods to use. Here is a tutorial on how to join solid granny squares as you go: ruclips.net/video/CJzpMMp5yd4/видео.htmlsi=0b2U4hsi3180Zi1T
Very good tutorial!
Any recommendations how to join this squares?
Thank you so much for your kind words 🥰 I recommend that you sew the squares together using the whip stitch or crochet with slip stitch in back loops only.
Best of luck with your project 🤗💐
Hi there this pattern is very pretty. I have question for you. What type of yarn and hook you are using, Thanks
Thank you very much for your kind words🥰 I used drops merino extra fine. It is DK light worsted weight yarn. You are welcome😊
Later on knitting the cups I think that I can start with the Grammy squares designs. Is it a good idea?
Absolutely, that sounds like a great idea! Starting with granny squares is perfect because they're simple and versatile. You can create so many beautiful items with them once you get the hang of it. Enjoy your crocheting journey! 😊🧶✨
I used lightweight macrame and a 4.5 hook, I'm a loose crocheter and on the 3rd row my circle curled up completely so gave up on this.
Very detailed video and pretty design.
Thank you very much 🥰
many thanks for the video tutorial could you share some details on how to make half of this square?
You are very welcome🥰. Unfortunately, I can't figure out in my head how this square can be converted to half a square. It must be an experiment, for a later time. But feel free to try it out for yourself. Good luck with your project🌺
Hi Marie! Are your granny squares all the same size? Thank you!
Hi there😊 No they are not, some have more rounds than others. Best of luck with your project.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Your voice is so soothing💗🌸
You're very welcome!🥰 I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tutorial, and I appreciate your kind words about my voice. If you have any more questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to see in future tutorials, feel free to let me know. Happy crafting 💗🌸😊
Thank you using variegated yarn blue size h needle.
You are very welcome 🥰 That sounds like a very nive choice of materials. Best pf luck with your project 🤗❤️
What size yarn and hook do you need
You can use what ever you like for This pattern. It deoends how big you want it to be. I am using a 4.5 mm. Hook😊
How big that size in cm ?
It is approx. 18 X 18 cm. But your yarn choice and tesion will determine how big the square will be.😊
Hi! I would like to know how many grams I need to make this granny square.
Hi! Great question! 😊 The amount of yarn you’ll need depends on the size of the granny squares and the weight of the yarn you're using. With DK yarn is takes about 15-20 grams, if you're making larger squares or using a heavier yarn, it could be more. 😊✨
@@AdoreCreaCrochet Thanks! I'm new to crochet and I loved this video and I'm going to try it!
Thank you for demonstrating all of the steps so clearly.
You're very welcome! 🥰 I'm glad to hear that the steps were clear for you. If you ever have any questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. Happy crafting! 😊
Love this pattern, made alot so how would you join them together, I do know how myself but is there a nice stitch to go with this pattern
If I don't like that I'll just have to suck it up and appetite the seem as is 🤔
I love the way this square looks!! Great job!
Thank you very much. I really love it too🌺❤

Here are some ideas on incorporating different colors for the flowers:
As you mentioned, using a different color for the center circle is a great idea.
