    I watched this over and over, going into the second row. I am 78 and I am not giving up on this.
    I know it is easy, but my yarn separates into threads….
    I’ve already made three samples,,, but I am determined.The video is PERFECT, thank you.🧶🙂

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  Год назад +8

      I think It's amazing to hear that you're determined to learn crochet even at the age of 78! It takes a lot of patience and persistence to learn something new, especially a new skill like crochet. Don't worry if your yarn is separating into threads, this can happen when working with certain types of yarn or when your tension is too tight. Keep practicing and experimenting with different yarns and tension until you find what works best for you. Remember that practice makes perfect, so keep at it and you'll soon be creating beautiful crochet pieces in no time. I'm glad to hear that the video tutorial was helpful for you, and I wish you all the best in your crochet journey! ❤🌺🙂

      Consider experimenting with different color combinations, arrangements, or even adding some solid-colored squares for variation. It's a great way to showcase your creativity and personalize your blanket.

    mine got wavy for some reason? any ideas why lol

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  6 месяцев назад +1

      Wavy edges on a granny square can happen for a few reasons. Here are some common causes and solutions:
      Tension Issues: Inconsistent tension while crocheting can lead to wavy edges. Make sure you're keeping a consistent tension throughout your stitches.
      Yarn Weight: If you're using different yarns or hook sizes for your squares, it can result in variations in tension and cause the edges to be uneven. Stick to the same yarn weight and hook size for a uniform look.
      Blocking: Sometimes, blocking your squares can help even out the edges. Wet blocking or steam blocking can be effective in smoothing out any irregularities.
      Stitch Count: Double-check that you're following the pattern correctly and that your stitch count is consistent in each round. Mistakes in the stitch count can lead to wavy edges.
      Starting Chain: Ensure that your starting chain is the correct length. If it's too tight or too loose, it can affect the overall shape of the square.
      If you've already finished the square and the edges are wavy, you might want to try blocking it. Wet the square, gently shape it to the correct size, and let it dry. This can help even out the stitches and give your square a neater appearance.
      I hope these suggestions help, and happy crocheting! If the issue persists or if you have more details about your project, feel free to let me know for further assistance.

    This might be a stupid question, but what are the measurements of these squares?

      Not a stupid question at all!
      You can make this square as big as you want. It depends on how many rounds you do. But also of your crochet tension and yarn thickness. Start by making a sample to measure, and adjust if necessary until you have the desired size.🙂

      Won’t lay flat??

      This can be due to several different things. Try to check if your stitch count is correct for each round. Or maybe your tension is tighter in the middle than, at the edges. But don't worry, it may take several attempts to get the square perfect. I recommend that you watch the video again, and try again.❤
