The crazy thing is if it weren't for Antonio Williams injury Tyler Brown would have not gotten near the amount of playing time he has. It still points to the problem that Dabo is holding some of the best receivers back because they are freshman and leaving older players out there who are not producing based on seniority.
Highly doubt that is what is happening. Sometimes players just shine in big moments. Brown is taking advantage of his playing time and making the most of it.

I'm more optimistic as this team plays each next game. Primarily because this team is following the trajectory of most Dabo teams. They start off lower and fight more the longer the season. And in this case, there are even more upstarts getting their shot versus the more senior playing just because they are older or earned it or whatever. Maybe Mayes is the exception, but even Spector got pulled for the most part after he missed a catch.
Doesn't matter what Duke does. anyone who is looking at the CFP poll when it releases (the only poll that has any meaning) they will know Clemson lost that game themselves. So if Clemson wins out up until that first poll release they should be sitting pretty in a 12-18 spot somewhere. And should finish the season out 10-15 if they don't drop another game.
Two games in row, when Ship finally got going, that stupid "screen" pass screwed up the drive, and stopped Ship. And it looks like to me that the TE may have never had control of the pass? Whatever, l hope they take it out of playback, and let Ship, appears to get better end of game.😮
The ACC is too difficult to figure out this year. The most improved team in the ACC is Miami. But is it enough? If I'm a Clemson fan, I'm watching Miami's games against GT and UNC closely. If Miami beats them both by three scores, then I might be worried. UNC will be tough too. Apart from that, I don't see a problem for Clemson.

Tyler brown was a three star that came in the summer stars don’t always mean everything and I think he will use the portal and especially with Garrett Riley there and Dabo might be making some more coaching changes we don’t know we never thought he would have fired streeter either Dabo is a competitive Coach everyone thinks he want change but he has made changes several times he made it clear last year he will may not be the changes that we think is right or the time but he want just give in and let Clemson just fall out of the picture this team is better than last years team and the rest of the acc is getting better Dabo has his ways people don’t like but he isn’t new to the game and he has made changes and built Clemson into a national football team that paw is known from coast to coast yes the last three years have been tough but I remember when we would have been excited for 3-2 start especially taking fsu into overtime I am not saying that is now we should expect or accept that as a norm or be ok with it but Dabo ain’t done yet !

I think this team is going to get better with every game not saying we will go undefeated the rest of the way but the talent is there and the team seems to be coming together I think the offense is growing every week Cade is getting better every week he is going to end up being a great quarterback before he gets done at Clemson we are starting to see him trust himself and the online the scramble and throws he made was awesome to see Tyler Brown is gonna be a beast our wide receivers in all are becoming more confident our o line is our weakest point on offense we have unbelievable running backs and yes Cade is gonna throw some balls in harms way a lot like D Watson did but he is scanning the field more Our defense finally looked like The defense that we have had for a long time it’s just taken them a bit to completely come together like I said I think this team will get better with every game I hate we have lost 2 games but that’s the past can’t do nothing but look ahead and I am excited for it I think that we will have a couple of games that people will be surprised about there is so many people who have totally bailed ship and washed this team down the drain yes there is always things that we as fans expect and don’t think Dabo ain’t gonna be keeping tabs on things he showed last year he is not afraid of making changes and I am excited for the future of the team and program I have been a tiger fan my whole fan my whole life and this team has just needed time to come into it’s on and the future is looking good And like you said Pete it’s a great day to be a tiger and a great day to be alive Let’s go Tigers!!!
