Officers Respond to Drunk Family Dispute, Chaos Ensues

On July 13th, 2023 Officer Sean Taylor responded to a domestic violence call in the 3000 block in the New York Suburbs. Officer Taylor got on scene and saw a individual (Robert) at the door. When Officer Taylor went to the door, Robert quickly moved revealing a 'Donut Going Box' asking if the Officer wanted any. After having a near heart attack from nearly shooting Robert for moving so fast, Robert decided to show Officer Taylor around his house, showing off what he called was a 'few Halloween decorations' which in the end turned out to be real human corpses. Officer Taylor then went upstairs and confronted Daryl. Daryl was very edgy and was not complying to the Officer. Officer Taylor tried to get Daryl away from the gun cabinet. When Daryl didn't comply, he went and grabbed a loaded Colt 1911. He then immediately pointed it at Officer Taylor resulting in a shootout.
Officer Taylor retreated back into the main floor to reload his firearm. Officer Taylor then advanced back to the stair well and witnessed Daryl shoot himself. Daryl shot himself in the head, but the bullet skimmed his skull. Daryl's father, Robert, ran upstairs and started holding his son. Officer Taylor retreated back to his vehicle and grabbed a first aid kit to start rendering aid to Daryl. When Officer Taylor came back, Robert grabbed Daryl's firearm and pointed it at Officer Taylor. Officer Taylor returned fire and struck Robert multiple times. The firearm that Robert grabbed did not have any ammo in it, since it was all shot at Officer Taylor earlier by Daryl. Officer Taylor rendered aid to Daryl and called for more medics and backup. Officer Taylor has been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, which is normal protocol by every department.
