  • This is a video I made showing how I installed the Vance & Hines Big Shots staggered exhausts to my 2015 Softail Slim. I already had the VO2 air cleaner/filter installed and a Fuelpak FP3

    Thanks for making this video. I have a 2019 heritage classic. Installing Vance and Hines big shots on the bike tomorrow. I'd imagine it's pretty similar.

    Awesome video, did you end up installing high flow filter and tuner? or when you do pipes only you don't need to remap? cheers

    Hi Eugene Really helpful and informative video. Just noticed your side plate and was looking for something similar. Did you fit that and if so where did you source it.. Cheers Swedish...

    hello, Friend How can I find the cap go on there on the wiring?

    Hi Eugene, great video - thanks! One question: can you reach the baffle screws without removing heat shield? If you change the baffles, you must at least take the end cap first out too I assume

      TManTThug - I've since sold the exhausts, but from memory, yes you can remove the end caps and then the baffles without removing the heat shields... but I could be wrong :)

    Eugene, how and/or where do the passenger foot pegs mount back up to the bike after installing the Big Shots?

      @eugenereisch  6 лет назад

      Hi - I don't have the bike anymore, but from memory there's a higher mounting hole on the stock footpeg bracket

    Hi,how you do to disconnect the battery without snaps the allarm? I tried to disconnect negative pole and the result was an alarm concert!

    • @eugenereisch
      @eugenereisch  8 лет назад

      belrossino you need to turn the ignition on, then disconnect the negative cable :) That way the alarm knows it's 'you', as it were!

    Hi mate, I am thinking of the long shots for my Deluxe. Where would be the best place to source them or did you go o/s?

    how did you remove the exhaust gaskets in the cylinder?

    • @eugenereisch
      @eugenereisch  8 лет назад +1

      belrossino just lever them out very carefully with a small flat screwdriver - just enough to get a lip that you can grab with a pair of needle nose pliers.

    How do the VH short shots compare?

    • @eugenereisch
      @eugenereisch  8 лет назад

      I don't know but I understand they're considerably louder

      +Eugene Reisch Yours sounds good. Thinking about getting a Slim and installing the same pipes. How do you like it?

    • @eugenereisch
      @eugenereisch  8 лет назад

      +dry509 Love the Slim, but I have since sold these pipes. They were too loud and harsh sounding for me. I went with some Paughco bell-tip slip-ons with the stock headers instead and am also trying out some Khrome Werks slash-cut slip-ons - I much prefer both. The Paughcos give a more retro sound and the Khrome Werks give a proper Harley sound - both are louder than stock, but not as loud as the V&H (Khrome Werks are louder than the Paughcos). I can't decide which I prefer at the moment so running the Khrome Werks for a while.

      +Eugene Reisch Thanks for the info. Would like to hear which ones you decide on.

      +dry509 oddly enough I replaced the Paughcos today. The Khrome Werks were just too loud. They sounded great, real proper 'dirty' loud HD sound, but I prefer the Paughcos. They're a little quieter (still considerably louder than stock) but a better, clean 'retro' sound. And they look ace!
