Sounds great! Vance and Hines are hard to beat.
They really are. Tried to others but always go back.
The pipes look good on your scoot, amigo. Sounds very nice too. Also you gave me the intensive to try using my gopro head mount for when I need to use two hands.
You have done a great job on this fit out thinking of these for my Sport Glide. Enjoy that ride and be safe
Thanks for watching!!! Ride safe.
Great vid Tony....can’t wait to hear them on the road.
Sound so much better in person. Thanks
Another great video as usual. Trying to decide what I want to put on my Slim this will help. Thanks Tony.
Glad it was helpful. Those bigshots sound amazing really hard to get the sound across on video. Much better in person.
That is what I’m talking about! Well done, congrats and thanks for sharing Tony and Get Lowered!
Great set of pipes! Thanks
Love the sound on these exhaust, great video. Cheers, ride safe.
Thank you
Nice video Tony! Those pipes sound awesome!
Thanks
Thanks Tony always great to see what's next for your slim gives me more ideas for mine I've got V&H slip ons on mine remapped at HD shop great sound and preformance pity about the price.
Ride hard Tony
Thanks Dave!
No problem Tony we need places like Get Lowered in NZ hopefully in the future I will be able to order from them and get delivered here.
Would you ever do a video with the pipes doing a driveby or how loud they are from the saddle?
It is really hard to get the exhaust sound across on video. You have to turn the mics way down to handle the decibels. I can say they sound great and from the saddle they are loud but in a good way.
You can get the Fuelpak pro add on the FP3
I know the video doesnt do it justice but they sound good. That is a clean bike Tony, you clean it before the video lol, also that beard is coming in real thick...gonna start getting hot in that helmet.
Hard to get the sound on video for sure. With all rain we have had here this year all I do is clean the thing. Beard may have to go when it get hot picked a bad time of year to grow it out😂
I’m thinking about putting these on my M8 Heritage (currently have the Eliminator slip ons). Did this improve your low end torque performance? Did it help with back pressure issues that slip ons cause?
Sound mean, Tony! Great video as always.
Thanks D
Love the pipes...
Did you notice any difference in performance from the previous slip ons?
It’s tough to say cause I added a air cleaner at the same time with a tune. The stage one makes a nice notable difference.
Hi tony. Great videos. I’m running Vh Eliminator 300 slip on pipes but all I hear is m8 noise when cruising I want to hear pipes ...see John maxwells thoughts .....I’m looking to move onto big shots do you hear m8 now or pipes? Safe riding John
Hey John, big shots definitely throw more sound than the slips on. I wear a full face helmet which drowns a lot of the noise out with that being said. I can still hear the M8 at times but 90 percent of the time it’s all pipes. Thanks for watching ride safe John.
I’m new to the Harley world. I have a 21 fat bob and I just ordered the big shots. Will this guide work for the fat bob as well since it’s part of the softail family?
Yeah, they are all pretty much the same. The bracket my go in a different position but that about it. Just follow the instructions that come with the exhaust and use the video as a reference. Really a pretty straight forward install. Good luck and don’t forget to tune after the install. 👊
Thanks for the instructional video. Does Harley Davidson still honor your warranty after doing a complete exhaust change?
You will have to get with your local dealer. If you use the Harley tuner they should.
Do I need an aftermarket intake if I install this full system and an FP3?
Nope, but it’s recommended to complete the stage one upgrade.
@@TonysGarage that's good to know. How much louder did you bike get over the slip ons? I have Dean speed slip ons right now. They sound nice but it's kinda quiet for my liking.
It really depends on what exhaust you go with. If your looking for loud Vance and Hines short shots will get it done and then some.
@@TonysGarage short shots or Bassani Street sweepers are my top 2 choices right now.
@@pinedac2001 both of those bark pretty good.
What happen to your slip on? I got the slip on Vance and Hines a few weeks ago. Love the sound, but I need to wear earplugs now. But I smiled like you. I may try these when my warranty expires.
Have them sitting in the corner. Went with the full system to complete my stage one. Can’t beat that Vance and Hines sound.
Hi Tony! How did you get to the flange nuts on the front jug? I was going to order pipes but those front nuts look tough to access.
Man it’s tight. If you take off the heat shields it helps.
I have the same thing u have same bike same pipes except I'm using screaming eagle air cleaner and I'm not real happy with the sound are u T.man? It just doesn't sound like the old harley's maybe because its the m8 new sound but i hear other peole say the same thing i wish i would have just left the original pipes on,they were quite put better.
So is it absolutely necessary for a tune?
If you install a high flow air cleaner with any type of exhaust a tune is a must do.
Hey Tony, me and my father are doing this on my 2020 Slim, what was that circular tool called again?

What did u diside on about the seat, remember u cut the seat so u could get your money back cause u didn't like the seat u ordered is that why u didn't show the whole bike on this vid.?And why didn't anyone here mention it?Ok well id like to see the seat u finally went with cause i have the same bike and am looking 4 a seat also. Thanks bud.
I still haven’t replaced the seat still rolling stock. There is a saddleman I have my eye on but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
The slip ons, did they have a deep throaty sound???
They sounded really nice and deep
@@TonysGarage The slip ons correct?
Yes sir
Well darn. Everything that I wanted to see wasn't shown.
Yeah, I know sorry about the actual install missing. I just couldn’t film and install at the same time. Thanks for watching. Ride safe.
Warranty is not valid on your bike anymore correct?
No using the FP3 voids the warrenty but, check with your local dealer seems to differ from dealer to dealer.
My girls 2020 Softail Slim needs these. Her stock bike is the lamest sounding Harley I have ever heard. I have Cobra slip ons for my fat boy
Do they sound great? LOL 😂
I was speechless. Wish the sound came across better on video.
Tell the truth T.man they sound like a loud lawn mower.
The m8 does have a different sound than the old twin cam, but I am pretty happy with the sound much better than my slip ons.
