Here’s my theory, I think Scar’s secretly been in contact with the Outsiders since he was a cub. And I guess once Scar became king, he invited the Outsiders to live in Pridelands. And I agree that the reason the Outsiders look the way they do is because of the scarcity of food and water.
They possibly really aren’t related to the pride landers at all and was only in the pride lands during Scar’s reign. Zira and her pride was banished from the pride lands by Simba because they was only loyal to Scar and it was too risky to allow them to stay in the pride lands after Scar’s death.
My guess for why we didn't see them in the 1st movie during Scar's reign was because they were looking for food far from the Pridelands. We know Sarabi's hunting party gave up since the herds moved on, but ZIra and those loyal to her would probably volunteer to keep looking for food outside the Pridelands for Scar. By the time they came back the battle was over and Simba was king. They probably saw him as a random lion who killed Scar to take the throne, even if they were told the truth I doubt they would believe it due to their blind loyalty to Scar. Which leads to the Kopa theory on why they were banished since killing the king's son would be Zira's first act of revenge towards Simba. Maybe with Disney's recent humbling, they'll be willing to go back to the mindset they had with the renaissance and add some edge and nuance to their stories.
They didn’t think of Zira until they decided to make a second movie. They also wanted scar to have a mate. Then they wanted to have scar/ Taka and Zira kids shown
I think that they could have been from a pride similar to Queen Janna's pride or maybe SCAR was related in some way to Janna's pride since the lions and lionesses produce the same colour. If there was a lion guard season 4 then maybe Kovu could've been born in that pride by another male that existed during that time, CONSIDERING THAT Kovu's parents were said to not be Scar and Zira. Who knows maybe if Kovu ended up with Rani it would be a whole other topic all together Maybe Kovu Knew Rani as child hood FRIEND'S!!! I mean he did run off every time so... I'm think that the outsiders lived far from the Pride Lands, in a kingdom ruled by Zira as her mate (father of Nuka, Vitani and Kovu),at this time, Zira and the lionesses were not bad. A bit after Nuka grow a few, Zira's mate was kiled by evil lions (like happen in nature), then Zira, pregnant with Vitani and Kovu, and her entire family (i'm also belive that the lionesess and Zira are relatives) escaped of their former lands and ended in Pride Lands, during Scar's reign, after Nala left there.
Maybe they were once part of simba pride then they turned evil then he banished them and that's why she wants revenge and zira doesnt know that the hyenas actually killed scar

My theory is that the Outsiders are literally banished Pridelanders. They were originally loyal to Mufasa but they joined Zira due to her manipulative and deceptive personality in their new allegiance to Scar during his reign. Thus when Simba returned, they joined the hyenas in battling the rest of the lions that remained loyal to Mufasa's dynasty. They lost the war, and got banished to the Outlands
My theory is zira and others have family tree at outlands so somebody needs be exiled from pridelands or it was loner. i think it was choyo/kusho or change lion so it can be probabably scar but idk.
My theory on why they were actually banished: Not only were they still loyal to Taka (Scar), but also because Zera killed the young prince, Kopa. Simba, filled with rage, exiled them to the Outlands.

So my favored theory is 2, they were half-starved Pridelanders. Though Theory 3 is pretty interesting, too. Theory 4 is how I count Kopa as canon and explains why Simba hated them so very much.

in my opinion I think that when scar became king he imposed the old rules of the lions (to invade all the lionesses and kill their old cubs) that's why I think he killed meechu and the friends of simba and nala (tojo, malka , chmivu, tama and kula) had to escape. therefore the pregnancy to all the lionesses looking for that they could give him a male son but all of them slept females (that's why I think they look like him) and he never gave them importance but when simba returned his daughters were not happy and joined zira and they were banished with her after she killed kopa
My theory is that after scarer `s fight , zira declared her son Kovu to King.Simba then explain that Scar was never real King .Zira attacked Simba ,Zira was disempowered and banished to Scars hell. After she killed Kopa, she was banished to the shadow country . My favorite theory is number 4

This theory works off of Theory #1 I think The Outsiders were The Pride led by The Strange Lion that arranged for Scar to get his Scar. when Scar killed The Strange Lion That put The Strange Lion's Sister (Not My Theory) Zira as leader of The Outsiders. I assume that Zira's relationship with her brother was jealous and competitive. To the point that when her Brother was killed. The Power Hungry Zira was grateful to rater than vengeful toward Scar. I think Zira likely offered Scar her and The Outsiders Loyalty should he want it. Scar told Zira he would contact her if he needed them. After Scar took The Throne he probably thought it would be very valuable to him to have Lionesses that would be unquestionably loyal to him. Then on one of his patrols he must have went to The Outlands and told Zira to bring The Outsiders to The Pride Lands. Posing as a wandering Pride that Scar would accept into the pride. I also think that while they were in The Pride Lands (if not before that) Zira would have not have hesitated to offer Scar more than just her loyalty. Scar did not take Zira as his Queen, but as Zira told Kion in "The Lion Guard" "Scar and I were close, very close," I personally don't think that they were just friends.
Since not only were the Outsiders not in TLK 1, but there were only five other lions besides Nala and Sarabi in the final battle, I think the Outsiders were brought in to replace Pridelanders who left. Zira probably joined and became Scar's mate after he became king, and through her, Scar found the others I think Sarafina, Nala's mom, and all but Nala, Sarabi, and five others left to find a new home, only for Scar and Zira to bring in the other Outsiders, then teens, since they'd be getting on in years at the end of TLK 2 otherwise, into the Pride Lands. At the same time, Zira became pregnant with Nuka, who was born sickly like Scar, hence Scar's birthname Taka (waste) and the name Nuka (stink). A few weeks before Nala found Simba, Vitani was born, and Kovu was found and taken in. Nala before finding Simba, was probably a cub sitter, hence her recognizing Vitani in TLK 2. Next, before Simba caught him sneaking up Pride Rock, Scar told Zira that if he didn't make it, Kovu was to kill Simba and succeed him as king. Finally, this was probably the reason for their banishment, sometime after Kiara's presentation, Sarabi overheard Zira utter something about her plan to bring down Simba, and confronted her. Eventually, Zira snapped and they clashed. During the fight, Zira claimed Mufasa's death was his own fault for failing to see that Scar was "evil". Sarabi retaliated by striking Zira's ear, giving her her notch, and causing her to roar in pain, alerting Simba (ears are very sensitive, so regardless of how she got the notch, it likely hurt like heck). Now even more angry, Zira struck Sarabi's neck or throat, fatally wounding her. Sarabi would last until Simba arrived, but succumb to her wounds. This explains Simba's hatred for Zira and why he didn't acknowledge the other Outsiders existence when he said "I banished you from the Pride Lands. You and your young cub" and "Last chance Zira. Go home", as well as why the Pridelanders (as far as we know) didn't object. I also think their pride was where Scar and Mufasa's mother Uru, originated from, hence why Scar looks like an Outsider.
It all started with Choyo. When Ahadi was born, Choyo found a lioness named Amani. Together, Choyo and Amani had a son named Kuzimu but, Choyo died shortly after Kuzimu’s birth, forcing Kuzimu to take the throne at a young age. Not too long after Choyo’s death, Amani died as well. Kuzimu had to find a lioness. He found a lioness named Azola and together, they got their first 2 cubs Jasiri (The Strange Lion) and Uzuri.
Scar only got along with Zira because in Ahadi's rein Scar met Zira and replaced the love of Sarafina . Scar is known as Mufasa's younger brother but Zira is not Mufasa's sister and the theory might make everyone confused because Scar and Zira were actually mates when Scar was the king . They were mates in the middle of The Lion King and in The Lion King 3 Hakuna Matata there were not much evil characters until Pumba saw Scar was moving towards Simba and hanged him in the edge of Priderock with a fire beneath him . They say that Scar choosed Zira to become his queen and had their cub Nuka and then Kovu and Vitani and Nuka met Dotty can this be true if it's canon there would be a movie or book released that may be called The Lion King 4 Scar's rein . But this can not be serious because in a deleted scene of The Lion King Scar was forcing Nala to become his queen did Scar change his mind to keep Zira as his queen . After Scar's defeat Simba's took the throne and his son Kopa was born . Zira was vanished from the Pridelands and killed Simba's son Kopa to revenge Scar . In The Lion Guard Zira meets Simba's other son Kion by Nuka and Kovu and then she shows her daughter Vitani to Kion and takes her to the lionesses of her pride . They were trying to kill Kion until the lion guard comes to rescue him . This is my story and theories about the outsiders.

Well here is the history i made for me: When Choyo "The Selfish Lion" got exiled from prirelands by his brother mohatu. Choyo founded some lands near the pridelands, where some hungry lions lived. Choyo asked them if they wanted to be his lions. The lions asked him if there will be food, choyo ansewered yes!. Choyo named them "The Outlanders" and his lands "The Outlands". He becamed the 1st king of the outlands, he later mated with the principal lioness of his pride "Xolo" . They had 3 cubs named: Ahadi,Azola,Ajabu(The Strange Lion). But he didnt realise that xolo and her brother khan were his halfsiblings😅. So the origins of the lions choyo met are for me absolutely unknown! Khan and Xolo joined them when the pridelands were restartet Mosi + Nzuri = Mohatu,Askari,Choyo Mosi + Mbaya = Khan,Xolo
Sorry to spoil it but. . .Vatani is Nala's cub. . .Nala had a cub with Scar but Scar wouldn't stop messing with Vatani so Nala gave Vat ani to Zira. #the second time I put vatani it put "Haha no" so I put a space

Simba Didn't Killed His Uncle Scar it Was The Hyenas Who Killed Scar
This theory works off of Theory #1 I think The Outsiders were The Pride led by The Strange Lion that arranged for Scar to get his Scar. when Scar killed The Strange Lion That put The Strange Lion's Sister (Not My Theory) Zira as leader of The Outsiders. I assume that Zira's relationship with her brother was jealous and competitive. To the point that when her Brother was killed. The Power Hungry Zira was grateful to rater than vengeful toward Scar. I think Zira likely offered Scar her and The Outsiders Loyalty should he want it. Scar told Zira he would contact her if he needed them. After Scar took The Throne he probably thought it would be very valuable to him to have Lionesses that would be unquestionably loyal to him. Then on one of his patrols he must have went to The Outlands and told Zira to bring The Outsiders to The Pride Lands. Posing as a wandering Pride that Scar would accept into the pride. I also think that while they were in The Pride Lands (if not before that) Zira would have not have hesitated to offer Scar more than just her loyalty. Scar did not take Zira as his Queen, but as Zira told Kion in "The Lion Guard"

Since not only were the Outsiders not in TLK 1, but there were only five other lions besides Nala and Sarabi in the final battle, I think the Outsiders were brought in to replace Pridelanders who left. Zira probably joined and became Scar's mate after he became king, and through her, Scar found the others I think Sarafina, Nala's mom, and all but Nala, Sarabi, and five others left to find a new home, only for Scar and Zira to bring in the other Outsiders, then teens, since they'd be getting on in years at the end of TLK 2 otherwise, into the Pride Lands. At the same time, Zira became pregnant with Nuka, who was born sickly like Scar, hence Scar's birthname Taka (waste) and the name Nuka (stink). A few weeks before Nala found Simba, Vitani was born, and Kovu was found and taken in. Nala before finding Simba, was probably a cub sitter, hence her recognizing Vitani in TLK 2. Next, before Simba caught him sneaking up Pride Rock, Scar told Zira that if he didn't make it, Kovu was to kill Simba and succeed him as king. Finally, this was probably the reason for their banishment, sometime after Kiara's presentation, Sarabi overheard Zira utter something about her plan to bring down Simba, and confronted her. Eventually, Zira snapped and they clashed. During the fight, Zira claimed Mufasa's death was his own fault for failing to see that Scar was "evil". Sarabi retaliated by striking Zira's ear, giving her her notch, and causing her to roar in pain, alerting Simba (ears are very sensitive, so regardless of how she got the notch, it likely hurt like heck). Now even more angry, Zira struck Sarabi's neck or throat, fatally wounding her. Sarabi would last until Simba arrived, but succumb to her wounds. This explains Simba's hatred for Zira and why he didn't acknowledge the other Outsiders existence when he said "I banished you from the Pride Lands. You and your young cub" and "Last chance Zira. Go home", as well as why the Pridelanders (as far as we know) didn't object. I also think their pride was where Scar and Mufasa's mother Uru, originated from, hence why Scar looks like an Outsider.

It all started with Choyo. When Ahadi was born, Choyo found a lioness named Amani. Together, Choyo and Amani had a son named Kuzimu but, Choyo died shortly after Kuzimu’s birth, forcing Kuzimu to take the throne at a young age. Not too long after Choyo’s death, Amani died as well. Kuzimu had to find a lioness. He found a lioness named Azola and together, they got their first 2 cubs Jasiri (The Strange Lion) and Uzuri.

Scar only got along with Zira because in Ahadi's rein Scar met Zira and replaced the love of Sarafina . Scar is known as Mufasa's younger brother but Zira is not Mufasa's sister and the theory might make everyone confused because Scar and Zira were actually mates when Scar was the king . They were mates in the middle of The Lion King and in The Lion King 3 Hakuna Matata there were not much evil characters until Pumba saw Scar was moving towards Simba and hanged him in the edge of Priderock with a fire beneath him . They say that Scar choosed Zira to become his queen and had their cub Nuka and then Kovu and Vitani and Nuka met Dotty can this be true if it's canon there would be a movie or book released that may be called The Lion King 4 Scar's rein . But this can not be serious because in a deleted scene of The Lion King Scar was forcing Nala to become his queen did Scar change his mind to keep Zira as his queen . After Scar's defeat Simba's took the throne and his son Kopa was born . Zira was vanished from the Pridelands and killed Simba's son Kopa to revenge Scar . In The Lion Guard Zira meets Simba's other son Kion by Nuka and Kovu and then she shows her daughter Vitani to Kion and takes her to the lionesses of her pride . They were trying to kill Kion until the lion guard comes to rescue him . This is my story and theories about the outsiders.

I think that the outsiders were exiled because Zira had a plot for killing any of Simba's pride or heirs because she wanted herself or her children to feel important to the Pride Lands. I think that because Vitani loved Simba's son Kopa,to feel important to the Pride Lands.
Well here is the history i made for me:
When Choyo "The Selfish Lion" got exiled from prirelands by his brother mohatu. Choyo founded some lands near the pridelands, where some hungry lions lived. Choyo asked them if they wanted to be his lions. The lions asked him if there will be food, choyo ansewered yes!. Choyo named them "The Outlanders" and his lands "The Outlands". He becamed the 1st king of the outlands, he later mated with the principal lioness of his pride "Xolo" .
They had 3 cubs named:
Ahadi,Azola,Ajabu(The Strange Lion).
But he didnt realise that xolo and her brother khan were his halfsiblings😅.
So the origins of the lions choyo met are for me absolutely unknown! Khan and Xolo joined them when the pridelands were restartet

Mosi + Mbaya = Khan,Xolo
Zera and Scar seem to have similar features. Perhaps they are related, and Scar is indeed not biologically Mufasa's brother.
