Im really amazed how mufasa appear in this series many times but in the movies he only appeared once even in lion king 2 Simba's pride he only got mention and didn't even give simba advice after simba banished kovu and the nightmare sequence after the first day of kovu being in the pride lands
While Gary Anthony William was no The Late James Earl Jones (1931 - 2024) but This Voice Truly embodied Mufasa’s Wisdom and Comfort. I truly love that Mufasa never raised his voice or get angry at Kion instead he gave him Love and Advice.
Despite being a first born, I was able to relate to Kion being upset about Kiara’s behavior. And of course she got away with it. But she did learn her lesson though. What a case of Sibling Rivalry.

Though I strongly believe James Earl Jones (rest his soul) was irreplaceable, Gary Anthony Williams does a great job voicing Mufasa. And I’m glad that, even in spirit, Mufasa has such a strong presence in The Lion Guard.
