    I always feel bad for Kevin and his guys when people start hating. They are extremely talented and are always giving projects on tight deadlines. Sometimes you think you can a project done then things happen out of your control like wrong parts, broke parts or parts people said was available aren't and went on back order ect.. Kevin obsesses over the details and that's exactly what I'd expect on a car of this level. Steve understands and idk why people think they would know better than him.

    • @freedomfox8183
      @freedomfox8183 Час назад +4

      Were there people hating? It's pretty much common sense you would think but not every shop can do a eagle build in that amount of time they are much smaller shop,not all shops have 10 extremely talented fabricators and welders in fact it's rare that shops have more than two or three guys on that level Kevin still got around the same amount of hours in Steve set 2500 hours roughly and that's what Cameron Johnson race cars estimates for a car 2500 to 3000 depending on level of build.... you got to remember some of these people are just haters living in their mom's basement that want to get a rise out of people...

      People don't understand compound delays. If just 5 things take an hour longer than expected, that's at least an extra 5 hours of work.

    I love KSR as well as Steve's program. These are good people giving good knowledge to boot. Please like guy's so often see thousands of views and no likes why just click so easy. Also These programs are like the most informative hard working best channels you could ask for especially if you have worked on and or driven a car on the track before. You can use a lot of this knowledge yourself on a rebuild or a father son rebuild or build. Seriously sadly seems the best programs get the shaft and the Benny Hill sort of speak programs get all the attention. If your old enough you'll understand my point anyway please give a like it isn't hard. Much Love for Steve and his Family and friends as well as KSR. God Bless be safe and keep making America Great Again. These people are what makes our country Great!!!

    Ok great call the time and money in a project such as this no one needs to be to tired and make a mistake or worse get hurt. This car will be going way too fast to be falling apart because of trying to work in a fatigued condition. We all know the late nights at the track or the shop. Sometimes gets us in trouble you can miss a little thing and destroy a racecar. These are race cars no two alike! You guys are among the best at this art you see how hard they work to make these cars SAFE and just unbelievably fast. Smart thinking is the only way to do this and we all know how well we think when we are tired. When you’re putting family in a car like this you make dam sure it’s right.

    Only thing about that location for the tank is it is in direct line of the passenger tires. So in the rare instance where you get a big leak from it somehow going fast it could get dicey quick once oil gets on the tires. Very unlikely and i get that space is tight. That car is bad ass.👍

    • @Greg1096
      @Greg1096 Час назад

      A lot of dry sump cars use that area for the tank, its extremely rare to have a failure in the tank area unless you hit the wall or something like that, nothing going to the tank is under any real pressure so line failures are pretty much unheard of, oil is only under pressure between the pump and the engine so any failure on the pressure side would be coming from the same area roughly where it would on a wet sump car (front or bottom of the engine) 99% of failures of the type you are referring to on dry sump cars are due to you crashing the car, and at that point tou have bigger problems

    12:27 2,500 man hours to build a drag and drive car of this caliber. I believe every word. Quick simple math, 2,500 hours is 62.5 weeks at 40 hrs/week. let's say 4 people work on the car instead of 1 person. That would mean it would STILL take a 4 person team 15.625 WEEKS (call it 4 months of non stop work, on ONE car with a 4 person team...!!!) sheesh!

    Why I stated Steve Morris and Kyle Morris and KSR and Old Mans Garage These guys do stuff for customers that don't always make them money but they do it for the greater good for the common man or woman If more Business's was like this just think how great our country would be this use to be a common practice before greed and fame took over our lives why we live in a world of the have nots and the have everything. Why I make such a big deal of these folks. I would love to have a Fox Body with a Cleveland or a Clever " Stroker Windsor with after market Cleveland style heads as a street and drag car. Odds are I will never see that day come especially on disability. But I get to watch good people like these guys do it themselves not because their rich but because they bust their asses for everything they have I've said this before and I will say it again no amount of money will buy you health and if your healthy enough to bust ass make money and help others out with out counting every penny then the very least I can do is brag about it pass the word LIKE and SHARE the very least I can do for my entertainment. Thank you for the kick ass and often times Heart felt Video's Steve KSR and Old mans Garage.

    Trying to predict when a car project will be completed is a black art. Even the most educated guess is rarely correct.😢

    Got a question about drag and drive events. Do you just leave your big race trailer and hauler at the first track or do you have a driver to drive it to each track?

      Got to leave it at first track. Can’t go back to it either. They are sealed until the event is over.

      @veto8792 thanks. Say you had other family members or friends that traveled with you from out of town, they would need another car or rental if they wanted to watch you race each track? From what I understand they can't haul parts , tools or help though correct?

      @ Yes that is correct, as long as they aren’t helping. Chase cars are NOT allowed. However, Alex Taylor is a perfect example. Her mom and sister follow them from track to track in a separate vehicle for filming and moral support but they aren’t involved with the actual race car.

    I know you and Val were disappointed! However Kevin and his guys have really put a lot of work in it and it is obvious that they feel horrible about it not being done!!!!

    Great video I'm going to Kyles channel now to check out testing getting cold here in Kansas putting SM sweatshirts to good use now. I think you are right to hold off testing Val's car it would be a rush and bad things could happen. Safe travels Happy Thanksgiving!
