Just putting it out there if you do all of this and the trucks are taking a while to respawn built you can always set the active tag on the trucks to 0 in events.xlm then upload that restart your server ect and wait maybe a min or 2 then stop it again change that tag to 1 then they should all be spawned in and working how you want them to be Edit: or any car for that matter
@@theqreport7147 I found if you do events before spawn able types it can take a while to change... Another hotfix I saw in another 1 of scales vids it reinstall the server after all mods so everything spawns in at once...
For everyone having issues with their nitrado server. It appears you’re private server will not receive the 1.10 update until you call nitrado and have your server transferred to a new IP which will update your server as well as keep your progress.
I was able to manually update the server with the new stuff copying and pasting the vanilla new entries in my server. Everything work and all new stuff spawn but for some reason M3S wrecks don't spawn spare parts such as hoods, doors or wheels. Is this normal (they have little chance to spawn) or is a bug?
Scale, I’m late to the party but I need help. For some reason after my server being on and running with no issues, I’ve started seeing trucks spawning on top of each other and on spawns that they normally not like the NWAF plane crash. There’s too many scattered all over chernarus. Any ideas of how to go back to normal?

I can not find item "truck" in events xml. My events file ends at code line 845 not 885 like yours. Update: Contacted Nitrado and they informed me that the XML files do not update themselves. I had to use the nuclear football and reinstall the server. Now the code is there.
Next time they update the game you just have to call Nitrado and have them transfer your sever to a new IP address and it will update your game as well as keep your current progress.
@@gilltron9385 not a wipe. I didn't know at the time, but Anarchy has a video on updating without wiping. If I remember or understand correctly you just select the restart with reset XML files in the general selection and it will restart the server as vanilla and then you can then reapply your mods using the new updated XMLs.
Takes a couple days if you do events before spawnable, I didn't want to wait so after I edited all the files I wanted to I done a reinstall (server wipe) and everything worked fine... I only realised this after watching another video hope this helps....

first off thank you the video and the code so we all don't have too go though all the typing out. second when I did out the code into my server and all that stuff I started out looking for the trucks for the past 4 or 5 days. spawning and dyeing running all over the place to find one. so far I haven't had one at all spawn in so I started reading the code and found that there were some gaps in there, significate ones, that did not match up with the rest. I read the comments on the video here and found that others have said the same. now I have skimmed most of them but they have not gotten a reply and if theres one from you then sorry in advance. I'm taking a risk and editing the file on the nitrado server and taking the gaps out. the group of people that play on it are not playing the game for right now so I don't have to worry about breaking the game and have to do a reinstall. in fact I did that when i added the mods all at once just to make sure that it would be working. ill will try and reply to my comment if it works or not. thanks and peace.
@@marcbosse5550 well it's been fairly hard to tell. Lol as you know traveling to find the trucks is a feat in its self. When I did do it I was running around by myself so it took me a long time and dieing alot to find out that yes there was a increase in the spawns but nothing spectacular and they didn't spawn in with gear or stuff in it as well. And I tried altering the code and applying to the other vehicles in the game but I didn't get anything other than some bugs in game. And to be honest I might of messed up the code I am human after all. But I did go step by step with the video to apply it to the sever a few dozen of times and did a reinstall and reset of everything too see if that could get it to work. The other stuff in his videos do work but for some reason the truck one I haven't got a clue. I hope this helps.

The barrels are bugged, I cannot add items into the barrels whilst on the truck, and if I try to remove them from the back I cannot place it and end up stuck with a barrel on my arm and have to relax to fix it. The barrels seem to be glitched.
DayZ Feature lol. press long x to put them from the truck behind the truck then you can place them. barrels can not filled in the Truck. You can only fill the Crates befor you put them in the Truck.
I have a question should I delete the old files on the server so it’s not duplicated or should I keep the original file and then add the new xml file to the server

Like barels that have items in them already, you cannot move them. Which is most likely the case. You can however have items in the wooden crates and store them on the truck. Hope that helps
Rmvoe the barrels from rear of truck. They are empty and then fill them and put them back. Sometimes glitches. Need to crawl under truck to drop (remove) things from back of truck or put them back in sometimes. Same with crates, logs, planks and metal sheets when they are down to 1. Other items in truck inventory are entered and removed from the sides near the front doors.
if your trucks are spawning incomplete (wheels missing, nothing in the cargo but you can get in the the truck) destroy the truck by shooting the engine and the next time they spawn they will be complete
Question: What if all Trucks are found, used and moved away to another position. Will there spawn new ones, or is this the maximum number of trucks on a server in total?
Hi everyone! Scale, your videos are the best out there, everything you need to know about setting up a server for DayZ. Really enjoy your narration. I do have a question though if I may. I've been trying to put trucks and cars, fully loaded with parts and gear onto my new server for over a week now and I've checked the changed codes that I've entered and saved, many many times but I simply cannot get the cars and trucks to spawn in full and with gear in them. I've seemingly changed all 1.00, saved, restarted and still nothing has changed. If you could help, I sure would appreciate it alot. Thank you

Ok so I copied your code and increased the spawns, but now after restoring the files back to normal none of them will despawn. I don’t want to wipe all trucks because I want to keep mine, how can I get all the fully loaded ones to start despawning? It’s been 2 days

is it possible to spawn vehicles with random items.. i understand you can spawn the cars with specific items by adding attachments chance but can you do presets?
You would do the exact same thing as the video but add all the items you want to be able to spawn in the vehicle but change the attachments chance number from 1.00 to .90 - .01 or anything between

Scalspeeder . I put that trader mod in . But it's been saying . TRADER :, missing server Data . And I keep losing the car I bought . Now what I did was raise the lifetime of all vehicles to 3888000 and then I restarted the server. But still get that . I can't even build without my builds spawning out too. I just want a good server for people to enjoy. But I can't open this up to public . Can you give me any pointers? I'm getting nothing from discord he must be working on another mod . If it's money he want that's easy I just want a sever that works . Thanks .
If it’s in the types file then u may have to create an event for it like all the other animals and another thing to look for is in the types file the long red line look at where it says crafted if that’s on 1 it needs to put in zero reason being computer code string of bits of 1’s an zeros 1 meaning yes an zero meaning no so what that is saying is if crafted is on 1 then that item needs 2 be crafted to be in the game it will not spawn in but there is no dog in my xml files

@@gilltron9385 na i did it myself. I followed a previous video he had posted. Basically you just reset your xml files back to default and it adds all the stuff. Then i then went through and added all my bits that I needed to. It worked and I have trucks now.

find your coords on izurvive, copy the coords and add them to the spawn points of truck one. But it may take a while to spawn in since there are so many spawn points.
It's in your types file I seriously think you have to edit the types file for vehicles too I have truck_01_covered in my types but it's nominal is set to zero
crawl under the back for all cargo items like barrels, crates, logs, etc. drop them from truck inventory. Can only do one at a time, though. Either move the truck forward or move the items. Regular items in truck are accessed from the sides near the doors.

I’m curious about this as new items keep spawning in damaged or worn and I’m unsure why I have mine set to 0.1-0.2 any idea why ?

Don’t reset. Call nitrado and they will fix it

The new file will overwrite the old one.
if you end up with doubles yes make sure you delete the oldest one. make sure its still backed up till you are sure the new code is working out
if you have one or more of the same xml file it can cause conflicts

The trucks are tied to the max event numbers, so another truck won't spawn until one has despawned.

Make sure you've validated your code with an online xml validator.

Renaming should be ok.
This was awesome tell 1.11 update truck spawn with everything on them and in them that supposed to but you can't pull anything out of the back

Set the event "active" tag to zero, save and restart, then set event "active" to one, save and restart.

The only answer that Ive found for this is to shoot the truck until it is ruined. Leave and return later and the full truck will respawn

because they are persisting from the old xml code. uploading new code doesnt automatically change everything already spawned in im afraid

You need to update to 1.10 files by resetting xmls to default.

Scalspeeder . I put that trader mod in . But it's been saying .
TRADER :, missing server Data .
And I keep losing the car I bought .
Now what I did was raise the lifetime of all vehicles to 3888000 and then I restarted the server.
But still get that . I can't even build without my builds spawning out too.
I just want a good server for people to enjoy. But I can't open this up to public .
Can you give me any pointers?
I'm getting nothing from discord he must be working on another mod .
If it's money he want that's easy I just want a sever that works .

What about adding dogs back in to the game the files should be still in the mxl files everything they have removed are still in the mxl files
If it’s in the types file then u may have to create an event for it like all the other animals and another thing to look for is in the types file the long red line look at where it says crafted if that’s on 1 it needs to put in zero reason being computer code string of bits of 1’s an zeros 1 meaning yes an zero meaning no so what that is saying is if crafted is on 1 then that item needs 2 be crafted to be in the game it will not spawn in but there is no dog in my xml files

@@gilltron9385 na i did it myself. I followed a previous video he had posted. Basically you just reset your xml files back to default and it adds all the stuff. Then i then went through and added all my bits that I needed to. It worked and I have trucks now.
I accidentally deleted the event file how can I get it back? lol
It was Deleted from Nitrado
When I upload the file as events.xml, it comes in as events.xml.xml, will it still work?
Just call it "EventsMod" or something else. Don't end it with XML.

find your coords on izurvive, copy the coords and add them to the spawn points of truck one. But it may take a while to spawn in since there are so many spawn points.

It's in your types file I seriously think you have to edit the types file for vehicles too I have truck_01_covered in my types but it's nominal is set to zero

Dont waste time This doesn't work mb because of a recent update. But they just spawn in without inventory or parts to drive it
would be so nice if the trucks werent so fucking buggy. one of the trucks wouldnt allow me to pull anything from the rear.
I have the same problem. Try moving the truck, or standing in a different location.
crawl under the back for all cargo items like barrels, crates, logs, etc. drop them from truck inventory. Can only do one at a time, though. Either move the truck forward or move the items. Regular items in truck are accessed from the sides near the doors.
