Wrath of Cortex isn't the worst game I've ever played. But I will agree on you saying it's the worst of the classic Crash games. It has some good points. But the rest is heavily negative. And as this being an counterpart to Crash 3, almost everything went completely wrong from Crash 3 & messes up things on what makes Crash 3 so amazing in the first place. Oh well. At least it's better than Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly.
Actually Super Belly Flop is in WOC as well... but it’s found on a Gem Path in Coco’s first level. And by the time you get it you’re almost done with the game so it ultimately matters not at all.
I can’t wait for him to get to Twinsanity and see the move censored by the E-Rating. Also I would love to see you cover DKC Also Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is on HBO Max.
I think the on foot controls are actually perfect. Crash’s running, his jumping, the weight, momentum, jump height, they are perfect. Way better than the original trilogy. And the double jump is completely responsive. It’s like Battle for Bikini Bottom double jump, aka it doesn’t matter when I hit the button, the character does that second jump when I tell them to. And I like how Coco controls, I hope they do something similar in that upcoming Crash 4.
This game was my childhood. I managed to complete this game with all gems and relics within 6-7 hours 9 years back. While the Wrath of Cortex was surely guilty of all of its issues, it didn't have that much backtracking issues as Johnny said which helped it make it possible. I was so happy to beat it personally, and while the other games are pretty much better, at least Eurocom used the same formula.

You can say that for other post ND games that's not ND tier really.
6:45 As a fan of Wawa and their smoothies, I highly appreciated this Johnny.
I remember being excited for this game as a kid way back then, but being mad it was coming out on the new PS2 which I didn't have yet. Guess it's a good thing I never got to play it at all later on when the family eventually did get a couple of the new consoles... 😅
This game was my ENTIRE childhood!
Mostly because of the loading times but hey it still counts
Let's see how he feels about nitro kart and tag team racing. And Twinsanity.
Oh boy. This game could only mean one thing. It's the return of...Wonky Dick!
im just gunna say it...
I still like this game, even with its flaws.
Same here. I wouldn't mind seeing it get ported to Switch.
The soundtrack is the best thing about this game
This is still my one of my favorite post naughty dog crash games alone side the 2 Gameboy games
Also I would love to see you cover DKC
Also Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is on HBO Max.
I'm very suprised DKC has not been covered yet
What move?
Super Game Master There’s this box with the caption saying “Censored” where it looks like Crash and Cortex are doing something unsavory.
Alezander2002 he was asking why the show was not available in the U.S.
@@misterzygarde6431 Oh..
The one thing I always say about wrath of cortex is that it had a pretty good soundtrack
6:03 Crash it’s been 4 years since Tawna left you. You need to move on. She never loved you!
Holy crap I've been waiting for you to talk about Crash again for so long! Can't wait to see the others.
Hoping for him to cover the Crash Bandicoot GBA games.
5:50 my favorite part
2:43 They say that Crash is still falling even in this day... And game is still loading.
OK I'm just gonna come out and say it before anyone freaks out when you reply to me, I still think Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex not only is not that bad, But I think it's underrated, And even if you disagree with me I still stand by my word and I'm sticking to it.
It's not really underrated when it's just a worse Crash 3. Just play Crash 3 if you want a much better experience.
@@okagron First of all I have played Crash 3 every now and then, And second I'm not bilnded to flaws in this game but c'mon I have a soft spot with this game.
@Cameron Douglas It's still better than say Spyro Enter the Dragonfly.
@@SegaNintendoGuy64 Almost anything is better than Enter the Dragonfly. :D I don't know why and how I got 100% on it couple years ago. Definitely one of the worst gaming experiences for me. I had a Spyro marathon and I wanted to include every game, I just burned out with Hero's Tail which was just ok and got bored with GBA games, maybe some day.
im glad someone appreciates wrath of cortex as much as i do. spyro enter the dragonfly tho, that can go crash and burn
9:35
They didn’t remove the super belly flop. It’s a powerup you unlock by completing the death level on one of Coco’s stages, Tsunami I believe.
Banzai Bonsai, actually.
AdmiralOctopus oh ok. It’s been a while since I’ve played the game.
I still enjoyed this game, could care less for the mixed to negative reception people gave it.
Man so much potential with this game sqaunderd by crunch time.
I love this game, but it does look pretty ugly in places.
The super belly flop is actually in the game but is hidden in a death route on a coco level for some strange reason
You can’t delay the inevitable Johnny, Resident Evil 6 is waiting...
The main villain is crunch.
Yep.
To this very day. Still feel like I'm the only who kinds liked this game
same
I love this game, but it does have its problems. I find people are too harsh on it tho. I swear the loading times got better after like a weak of playing but the first time i ever put the game in the disc in loaded for actual hours b4 getting to the menu. It was nuts. Now, magically it loads fine. Really dont get it. Its weird.
@@ChaddyFantome Funnily Enough Caddicuras Pointed out the exact same thing he remembers The load times be unbearable but when he reviewed the game he was surprised to see it didn't take to long to load
