Thanks for letting ppl know about using their coffee grinder; that's what I always use bc it's all I have (I don't have a lot of money) & I never have to sift for bigger pieces. Also, I make a lot of quinoa flour bc it's a complete protein & use 1/2 and 1/2 flour to make crackers, pizza dough, etc. so I don't have to worry about making up for the missing BCAA's. *THANK~YOU* so much for all your GREAT VIDEOS! I've learned SO MUCH from you guys!
Thank you so much Jennifer :) We really appreciate your kind words. Great idea, I never made quinoa flour so far, only buckwheat, rice and lentil flour. Thank you so much for watching :)
@@Yes2LifeShow Thank~YOU! Yeah, the quinoa flour is VERY expensive, but organic quinoa grain is super cheap here, so I just grind it myself. It makes excellent crackers/ chips!
great video! ive seen other videos on this and they rinse, dry, toast then grind the lentils your way seems a lot easier, have you tried to make pasta from this yet?
@@Spfreedom247 u must be kidding, u can't live without water. How can u not wash pesticides from ur food? You can get filters for your water but you can't stop using it 😁
Thanks for watching. That should work as well, but we never tried to cook with green lentils yet. But it should be the same process and be equally tasty.
Thank you, and, God Almighty, for these videos l have made flour before but never knew about sifting out the coarse pieces and regrinding the remaining beans*¤*!
Is there any glass blender so the lentils don't scrape the plastic off from the inside? I did this with pumpkin seeds and I immediately noticed there was all these scratches which is plastic in my food so I tossed it and used a mortar and pestle which was such a pain for my wrist.
You said you can do it with chickpeas and so on. But can i do it for my brown lentils,or even my yellow split peas? Yellow split peas are higher in protein than any other legume (except soy) but no one uses it to make recipes with them The only downside is that they become mushy when boiled,so split pea flour would be a great great idea to add some versatility to these small split peas. And maybe you can experiment with these yourself,to give us some more great ideas on your channel,to make ourselves. Thanks!
Is it safe to eat raw lentils ? Can you just add this flour to say your post work-out smoothie ? I've Googled it and apparently eating raw legumes isn't safe. Anyone knows ?
How to make lentil cracker ? We don’t have expensive blender , can we make flour in regular mixie , could you please show flour making with regular mixie ? Please also show lentil crackers .
Thanks for your comment. You could use an electronic spice grinder, which are super cheap (less than $30 mostly). We have 2 lentil cracker recipes on our channel: ruclips.net/video/nDFFtGdqgKg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/muqBHO1c1Bc/видео.html
Did you wash the lentils first? And dried them?

Awesome :) I guess mixing quinoa and lentil flour could make some really nice high protein crackers as well.
Have you tried making pasta with it?
Do you make bread?
Do you have to cook & dehydrate first before blending?
Thanks for sharing. I was wondering should you not wash it first?
I have the same question. But then, how could it be made into flour??? Stumped me.
@@l.dayannle-7546 Probably dehydrating it after, I made it with chickpeas.
Thank for sharing. Straight and to the point. Great instructor easy to follow.
Thank you, David :)
@@Yes2LifeShow You are most welcome.
is this a 1 to 1 ratio on replacing regular flour?

You need to wash and dry the lentils first to get rid of the saponins, which are poisonous and harmful to the gut lining.
I'm definitely going to try this with chickpeas as I wanted to make an egg replacer
That's a great idea :)
you can get chickpea four easily its called Basin
The lentil have to be washed first, but somehow nobody's talking about it. Do I wash it and then dry it?
Looks like he skipped that step lol
Considering our water is full of chlorine, fluoride and who knows what else, is it worth washing them?

@@allthesame3856 I agree it’s just odd he didn’t address the question. Was just thinking maybe that was why.
I agree with you. Wash it three times and the water runs clear. Thank you for pointing it out.
Thanks, good help!!
Thank you sooo much for this !!!!
Thank you, Kim 🙏
I have a lot if green lintels. Will they work?

Thank you Gerald :) Yes the sifting really makes it even more fine. Glad you found it helpful.

Yes for sure :) that should work
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have a look at my Asian supermarket
Great thank you

Thanks for watching. I wouldn't recommend eating it raw, this is only meant for frying or baking.
Can I wash and dry my lentils first? They are very dirty and dusty from the store.

Glyphosate. I wonder if lentils are sprayed with this stuff
Good point. Organic lentils would probably be the best choice. They are almost the same price here in Germany as non organic.
It took me quite a few seconds to realize you were speaking English.
Lecker
Danke sehr :)
