Nintendo have made a lot of special video games in the past 30 years but for me Super Mario Galaxy is at the top of the pile. From the level design, to the music, to the visuals, to the gameplay mechanics, to the controls it's absolutely perfect. It's a crime we never got an HD remake of it and it's sequel for WiiU. Maybe on NX :).
This game is more than a game for me, it's what introduced me to gaming and it's what got me into it. It also sums up a large part of my childhood and gave me hours and hours and hours of fun. Thank you Nintendo for making this masterpiece of a game.

This theme just remembers me of beautiful childhood memories with Super Mario Sunshine and I really do believe if kids play this with 5 or 6 like I did with Sunshine then they are going to have equally beautiful memories of this game and its atmosphere like I do with Super Mario Sunshine and for me that is what makes a good Nintendo game, not just the gameplay and the franchise name on top of it but the ability to spend as a 5 year old hours in a gaming world without following an objective, just running around in all the different worlds and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere and music.

I got this game when I was seven, and it will always hold a dear place in my heart, thinking of all the awesome times my sister and I have had with it. We played this when our parents first got their divorce, and although it was a small thing, it brought so much happiness to us, and I still feel my love of it to this day.
Easily the best Super Mario Game for me. I'm a diehard Super Mario fan, I have been since I was 6 and this game is easily the best in my opinion, it was so fun, the levels were fun but challenging in their own way, each planet had a different theme to the last and different gameplay mechanics that made each world like a completely new adventure. I adored this game on the Wii and spent hours on end playing it, even after u had completed it multiple times. I'm so glad it got brought to the switch, now all I want is Galaxy 2 on switch and hopefully Super Mario Galaxy 3 in the future

This game is core memory for me. It came out when I was 4-5 years old. I’m 20 (turning 21 soon) if my dad hadn’t come home with this game I wouldn’t be interested in gaming.
I remember when I was 4 years old and my older brother would play this every day(along with mario super sluggers)and one day when he was sick he couldn't play it so I played it and beat the game and this song played in the end credits and the volume was up to like 60 for some reason so at the beginning of the end credits I scremmed in terror and cried while this played.
It's been years since I played this game. I was around 11 when it came out. So upon hearing the very first few seconds, I burst into a huge smile remembering happier days. 🌠 Totally getting this for the switch!
I just realized that THIS is Super Mario 64 for the later generation. The game when, years from now, childhood gamers will continue to come back to and realize how lucky they were to have this game.

mrbibs350 Metroid wasn't just "shoot the bad guys", you had to have a strategy, at least in the older games (some of the new ones aren't quite as good imo)

Geekman11 thank god that someone else hates shooter games! My whole school is like ew u play mario games those r for babies! play some C.O.D.! And I'm like mario games were better ten years ago than mindless shooting games evr will be, since killing is terrible and sends a terrible message!

I remember when I was younger I would always watch my brother play this game on the will and I remember just being so amazed at what I saw all the colour the bright starts with smiley faces

This game is core memory for me. It came out when I was 4-5 years old. I’m 20 (turning 21 soon) if my dad hadn’t come home with this game I wouldn’t be interested in gaming.

I remember when I was 4 years old and my older brother would play this every day(along with mario super sluggers)and one day when he was sick he couldn't play it so I played it and beat the game and this song played in the end credits and the volume was up to like 60 for some reason so at the beginning of the end credits I scremmed in terror and cried while this played.
