My grandpa bought me this game when I was 8 years old. He died last week. This game is forever held in my heart. Thank you, Nintendo. Thank you, grandpa.
Rest in piece. Same situation except my grandma died 2 years ago and it’s still hard to get over because she was my closest family member and I never got to go to her funeral because either my mom or dad backed out at taking me there and both of them give me different stories but neither one will grow a pair of balls and admit they didn’t have the damn gas money. I don’t think they realized it tore me up inside when I never even got to say goodbye but my dad bought me a picture frame of her and now it’s always near
@@thesamurai343 You should pick the game up again, especially since you can get it for a fairly cheap price. And since you still have your original Wii, your game data should still be saved, as that it saved onto the Wii's memory drive.
When you’re a kid you hardly appreciate anything. But when you hit adulthood you remember all the good times and nostalgia takes over. Funny how life works out.
I feel very sad and nostalgic. I want to be a child again when I was still excited about life and what the day could bring. No stress, obligations, or work. Just super Mario Galaxy ._.
Well we can't have that! Society needs life to be a relentless crashing into rocks, those rocks being formed out of pure stress and pain, The blood seeping out of us is our hopes and aspirations. Eventually, we're left as hollow husks with only a few more bashes to go before the end. Thanks world! this message has been brought to you by the edge association and its funders.
My grandma passed away years ago, but I was recently cleaning my room and found the last gift she got me before she died: a luma pillow she knit/sewed all by herself. Brought me here, and now the memories are flowing. The power of nostalgia is crazy.
@@awesomeguy268 Hey man, there's dangerous people out there for sure, but the news covers bad news for views. The world is not as dangerous as the news makes it out to be. There's more often good news NOT being covered than there is bad! Be wary of your surroundings, but don't stress too much. Relax. I mean, that's why we're here right?
I cried when i haved green stars in super mario galaxy 2. I wanted they so much time! Edit: what the frick is this grammar. Didn't think my English was so bad by then. I don't even understand what I said here 7 years ago.
hey, um, this hurts. my dad and I used to play this game over the weekends together, he lives far away now and I don't get to see him very often. I remember one night we fell asleep on the couch playing, this song reminds me of that. thank you.
Ahh, I remember that day when my dad and I picked up this game. I was 6, and me and my dad would go looking around Best Buy every Wednesday. One day, we went over to the Wii section. My dad let me pick one game. There was Zelda, Mario Bros., Smash Bros., And many more. But there was one game that stuck out, and it was Super Mario Galaxy. The cover looked so beautiful, like a diamond. I asked my dad for it. And then he said it. "Yes." We drove home and I dashed to my Wii to play it.I put the game as fast as I could. When I hit that 'Start' button, I knew this was going to be an amazing experience. And I was right. I met Rosalina, explored many galaxies, and had a ton of fun.I will never forget how great this game had made me. Going home from school everyday to play more. Staying up all night just to get that one star. This game was art.
I remember when I was 6 it was 2007 Christmas, I had heard about this game. I wanted it so badly, my parents said they would see what Santa could do. Comes Christmas Day, I wake up excited, my family all with me, I see this box with a ton of smaller ones, it was a wii, with wii sports, Mario kart, and then super Mario galaxy, I was so happy. I opened it up and played with my whole family, it was a blast, and all I played for the following 2 years I beat the game probably 10 times, such nostalgia, it makes me cry, but puts me in a happy place hearing this whole soundtrack, I’m going to be ordering this online and playing it again. :)
I was bored trying to understand hard concepts of astronomy for my college, then I accidentally come to this vídeo and all of the studies suddenly became very immersive and awesome. Thank you.
I am planning on majoring in astronomy too! I'm 14 and taking Astronomy as an elective high school course next year! Mario Galaxy music always gets me excited about the universe
For all of you who are suffering with the nostalga brought upon by these songs, remember one thing: You had fun during these times. You enjoyed these times. It's not like you'll never experience happiness again. So, instead of sulking around that you can't experience these things again, make new experiences. I'm not saying to forget your past, just remember that the good times aren't over. You'll have experiences like these again and if you come to terms with these, when you reflect on them when you're older, like you're doing now, you'll be happy. *Never forget your past, just remember that you can make your future filled with happiness. All you have to do is start now*
I feel like everybody looks back and sort of thinks that life used to be perfect and that a soundtrack like this can sort of highlight that. I don't necessarily disagree but I think life has gotten better, and that playing through these two games again has really opened my eyes to the beauty of this awesome and awe inspiring series, and reminded me that I don't have to have a time machine to go back to the simpler times. Back to work now :)
Now THIS os the right attitude, look forward to the future, dont forget the past but also dont cry over it! Nostalgia is blind, just like emotion. Sometimes, its better to just let it all go away with time.
honestly, life really doesnt feel the same, i moved arround 3/4 of a year ago, still have pretty much no friends, the school hates me pretty much, my pc is too bad to run games other than roblox and minecraft, so i am stuck in those games, my wii stoped running games, and my xbox 360 broke
Everyone I know grew up playing Call Of Duty, Halo etc. As a kid however my parents would justifiably never let me play them so I spent my childhood playing Nintendo games spending days at a time glued to the Wii captivated by the beauty of these wonderful games and their magical soundtrack
Same here! Just that I haven't played super mario galaxy, my parents won't let me play something like Call of duty or GTA (Well, even if they allow me to do that, I won't, I just don't like that kind of games, I only play fortnite but It's not like I wouId pIay it 24/7) so I spend my time playing Super Mario 64DS or drawing flipnotes on my Ds
@@mems5766 Yeah, those kind of shooter games never really appealed to me even if I were allowed to play them, I found them pretty boring haha. I much prefer something more simplistic and peaceful, games that push creativity opposed to death and violence (I sound a lot like my mum right now). Nintendo games are a perfect example.
Same here. I mean I did play Call of Duty and such but I grew up with the Wii and all these fun games like Super Mario Galaxy, Punch Out, Zelda: Skyward Sword, DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Michael Jackson: The Experience. This is when life was easier and was fun. When Tik Tok was a Kesha song, When Corona was a beer and when Fortnite didn't exist.
There's so many of us who live the exact same story, and I think that's awesome. I couldn't imagine my childhood without this game, and it's so cool to know others feel the same
I can't even explain how big this game had an impact on my life. This game is the reason why I love Mario, this game is the reason why I love Nintendo in general. This game has a beautiful soundtrack, unique level design, and had a very pleasant storyline. If Nintendo never made this game... then I don't know what my life would be right now. I respect you for uploading this masterpiece, keep up the amazing work.
Villager of SmashVille I wish they would create back stories for all the characters like they did for Rosalina. I would love to get the story of Luigi, Peach, Wario, Waluigi, Marion, Daisy, etc. It would make me like the characters I love even more
This game is the best game anyone could have ever made and was one of my first games, I will never forget it and will put it in my grave when I die because I hold it so dear to me
The first track is making my eyes water up and I have never even played the game. I decided to finally buy it since it re-released on switch, but of course my switch bricked so I can not play it.
It is so beautiful this soundtrack. It makes me cry because it touches my heart. It makes me feel as though we as a world are just one big family. To those who have read my comment, I wish you all the happiness and blessings to come x.
i’m literally 14 years old and I just finished playing Super Mario Galaxy about a month or so ago and now i’m playing the second game but i’m so close to crying just by listening to this music i love this game so much :’ )
Same, but as a kid i only had the 2nd game (no clue why my mom only got me the 2nd but whatever) and now i Will finish the 1st for the 1st time. The Galaxy 2 is amazing dude.
@@PauloCampos-ls5nb did we have the same childhood? My parents only bought me the second one cause my cousins had the first, but I never got the chance to play that one in full.
@@PauloCampos-ls5nb Same, I think. It's been many years since I touched my Wii (it broke) and when I googled the world map selection now it looks like I had Galaxy 2
God, I remember being a really young kid (four maybe?) and watching my dad and brother play this game together. My brother would be Mario and my dad being the second player, gathering any Star Bits my brother missed (he was maybe six at the time). I was so... mesmerized by the game and the beautiful graphics that went with it. I loved Rosalina the moment I saw her, and I felt so happy whenever I saw my brother complete a level or defeat a boss. I might’ve even tried to dance along with Mario every time he got a Grand Star. Even though it’s currently almost 10:30 PM where I am on a school night, I wanna go downstairs, dust off the game, and play it myself. Something I never really got to do because I thought it was just a “boy thing”. Huh. I just went on a whole trip down memory lane while I meant to work on a Math assignment, haha.
I can relate to the part where you tried to dance with Mario I played this game when I was in Kindergarten & everyday @ school when the teachers let us go outside for recess I used to pretend I was Mario & just Naruto Run (pretending I was Mario flying through the sky) & the teachers were telling me “No Running!” Or “Your Gonna Hurt Yourself!!” But I was a savage & didn’t listen to them & the other kids were looking @ me like wtf are you doing? ^_^ lol
Mario Galaxy was the first game I remember playing as a child. the music brings memory of a wonderful, more simple time :'3 I absolutely love this game to pieces.
Sayaka Miki 912 Because you are getting nostalgia m8. All the memories are flooding back to you, as you look back into your past and realize that those were some good times. You also realize that since those times are over, you want them back, but since you're an adult it makes you wish you were younger more than ever. Well you might not fell that but that is what I felt. xD
I CAN"T TAKE IT THE NOSTALGIA GIVES ME SO MANY STRANGE FEELINGS AT ONCE! I FEEL SAD, HAPPY, AND FIND MYSELF SMILING AT MY CEILING PRETTY MUCH THE ENTIRE TIME. I ALSO FIND MYSELF DOING SOMETHING LIKE SHIVERING ON REALLY NOSTALGIC PARTS. IT IS SO STRANGE AND I LOVE IT! AND NO, I DON'T HAVE CAPS LOCK ON, I JUST CAN'T DESCRIBE THE FEELING IN WORDS AND I FIND THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN EVEN COME CLOSE TO DESCRIBING MY FEELINGS.
GUYS DID YOU GUYS SEE THE ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER THAT SUPER MARIO GALAXY WILL BE PORTED TO THE SWITCH! OUR HOPES AND DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE! THANK YOU NINTENDO
MRLYN I saw that and started tearing up the nostalgia this game brought was immaculate. No game should have this much impact of emotions on me as this one did. This game will forever have a place in my heart. 😌
At least it’s all balanced out by the 19 thousand likes, me being one of them Edit: In fact, feel free to give me likes if you agree on the following statement😌😏: “Let’s a go hear it for one of the greatest heroes ever, an INSPIRATION to us all! Allow us to take off our red puffy initialized hats in respect for the main man❤️A pipe traveling, star flying, shroom stomping, fire blasting, galaxy saving, kingdom protecting, coin collecting, monster slaying, fish wrangling, kart racing, thumb strengthening, block smashing, stache rocking, spirit igniting, heart warming...Plumber. Long live SUPER MARIO!!!! Thank you for giving me a reason to have a controller in my hands ever night”
I always felt that the beginning, in the star festival, it kind of felt like Disney world in a way. The lights, the fireworks, the anticipation, and the perfect night sky
Man.. Can’t explain the good old times. Waking up early in the morning to play with my dad on the Wii. The music makes me tear up it’s just unexplainably nostalgic and amazing. This game will forever hold a very special place in my heart
None of these other comments made me tear up but this one did, Im almost 15 now (in october) but I honestly remember playing with my dad and when I went to visit my nana and papa I played with them a lot too, I always had a blast and really want to go back to it.. I have the game somewhere in my current home living with my mom and stepdad and siblings but I still visit my dad a few times a year and I love just talking to him about everything really, Playing this game with him and with my nana and papa and family brings back so many good memories and If I could play it all again that would mean so much to me.. Thank you for making me cry and thank nintendo for bringing us all together with this amazing game.
It’s just so unfortunately that we are getting older and older, I miss the good time sooooo much😭 playing this game every morning without doing homework and without any problems. The times were so good😭
Anyone just have those moments where... you just gotta chill... forget everything happening outside of your house. Just sit on a couch, in a giant blanket, surrounded by 7 different pillows and playing Mario Party with friends or Super Mario Galaxy alone.
I always did Galaxy when I first came home from school when I was young (I always completed my homework in school) I have collected all the stars, collected the all with Luigi, and completed SMG2.
Literally, I started crying 4 seconds in, I can/can't stand the story book music.... Good memorys of childhood when I was 6 and playing with paps, all for that story...😭
+Opal you're not alone! The nostalgia just flows back. Playing SMG on Saturdays after soccer, being the first one to get SMG2 at my local gamestop, getting my mom to play with me, and this list goes on
I don't know if someone will ever read this, but in front of us we have some real masterpieces, parts of our childhood and not only that, but some good memories in general. Speaking for the entire community, thank you Nintendo, you really did the best job you could...never say never, a masterpiece could return...❤
Mario galaxy 1 will always be the best nintendo game of all time in my opinion, it was just such a perfect game, every game has its flaws but its hard to notice them in this game because every other aspect is on a level never done before or since, galaxy 2 was still incredible but galaxy 1 has the originality of each different thing you explore, and the story is so amazing even though its nothing special, story is what galaxy 2 really lacked
FunFan23 *This soundtrack describes all the happiness I have ever felt, all the sadness and fear. Every emotion I have ever had is described in these Mario tracks and it is amazing.*
I’m from England and just came back from a 3 week trip to Japan. I loved every second. I’m a big Nintendo, anime, and car fan so had a great time I went to Nintendo Store and Pokémon Centre in Shibuya, played in the arcades in Akihabara, and rented a car so I could go to Daikoku
+Ace Forever I remember that my father played this game. Then I came and finished the game. I finished Super Mario Galaxy 2 with my mother :D. This is my childhood :D :3
I'm not crying, you are crying, during Rosalinda's stories. This game is the reason I bought back a Wii, the music, wow, battle for a Grand star for adrenaline and these for relaxing
i just looked up the guy and when i saw he made this game (even though you obviously implied it) it made me tear up a bit something hardly any game designer can do to me.
The most beautiful soundtrack Nintendo has to offer. Thanks for uploading this, This was my first console game ever and it made my little eyes swell with tears.
(i’m french so sorry for my english) IT’S MY FAVORITE MARIO GAME!! IT AFFECTED MY HEART WHEN I WAS A child and i have always the same feeling since 2007, but with a little bit of nostalgia eheh
Man, I remember the day I got this from my grandmother at Christmas, I and my siblings were so happy. We got home and played the crap out of it. We even beat the game within a few weeks and it was amazing! Thank you for posting this video, it helps me sleep whilst thinking about my childhood.
U can remember it? When u played this for the first time? I do.. I was like 6-7yrs old. Even at that age, i was so exciting to play it.. 2010.. Now 2016.. So good memories!! I love those times!! Im still playing it. I was wondering, where is "Super Mario Galaxy 3"?? T^T so good both games..
When I was 4 or 5 I absolutely loved super Mario Galaxy and it's music, you should've seen my face when I found the second game. I hope they really do make a third game
This game was the thing that could take me away from life, away from the mean kids at school, away from negativity all together. I don’t know how a game will ever feel the same. I saw the commercial for the switch version and was extremely excited. I began to remember the good times. I remember wandering aimlessly around the ship just to listen to the music and trying to beat a certain ice level so many times. I would go back and play levels just because I loved them so much. I wish games were still made this way. Definitely the best game in the world.
+Joshua Schiattarella What is wrong with you?! Do you hate Mario altogether or something, or even just this game?! If so, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF! DON'T RUB IT ON OTHER PEOPLE THAT MAY AS WELL BE FANS OF HIM/IT! Your opinion is YOUR OPINION. You don't have to enforce it on other people. Let them have their opinion. THIS is the problem with society. We always think we always have to believe what the majority believe.
+MegaKell12 he said a simple 'don't do it' and wasn't using any swear words of any sort. Then you came barging in a shouting at him ( the capital letters) Let HIM have his opinion. Unless he is being rude then go ahead and reply the way you did. What you are doing is even worse than what you think he is doing.
I remember playing this with my friend when I was like seven. His aunt was dating a farmer, and we used to go down to his house and play his games, specifically Super Mario Galaxy. My friend lived in Inverness, and I lived on an island, so whenever he came to the island, we had to make it worthwhile. I still remember the day we stayed up til one in the morning playing this game, and then I was dropped off at my house. Beautiful memories. I still talk to that friend, but we haven’t played that in a while. I hope to ask him if we should the next time he comes down. God, I loved being so young and happy. :)
That last paragraph was a gut punch. I miss those days 😭 now everything is getting more and more stressful and things are growing and escalating. It all used to be so simple. Granted I’ve suffered from anxiety since I was a kid but, other than the shitty school I went to, I was, for the most part, happy. Especially when playing games like Mario Galaxy. Now it’s just all so different
Ben Daniels I feel you, bud. Now I can’t get through a day without being worried about responsibilities, or just things that are inevitable in general. I wish life could have always stayed as simple as childhood. Surely, it’s better than now...
I remember the day I buy Súper Mario Galaxy. I was 7. I already like videogames, but Súper Mario Galaxy is reason of why games is my passion now and forever. When I strated, everything was so amazing about this game that I get 23 stars the first day. I was 7 hours playing it without stop. By that moment, I already knew Mario's name and some of his games, but was with Súper Mario Galaxy when I became a Mario fan, and I'm still buying every game where Mario appears, even when I'm 20 now. In conclusion, Mario took a little Heart and showed him a World that he's never going to forget.
this game will always remind me of the best days of my childhood, warm sunday mornings, smelling my parents make breakfast, not understanding game mechanics but having the time of my life anyways
I played the first galaxy when I was about 10 or 11. I loved it and enjoyed it so much. The second one however I didnt get since it was too much at the time. However this kid had it and couldnt beat it, so he wanted me to help him. I did and his mother always wanted me to come over and pass the game. I miss being a kid honestly. Being a grownup just sucks. Dont have enough time anymore.
I’m still growing up now but a bit when a was 5 (I’m 12 right now) my aunt got me Super Mario Galaxy, and I loved it. I recently replayed it on the switch and the flashback were rushing through. Thank you for making my #1 all time favorite Mario game. We love you Nintendo
The first 5 seconds of listening to this I cried, remembering one of my first video games to play through till the end as a kid. It brought back a cold, dark feeling of remorse for the game I had such a long lasting love for, trying to play that game, and getting grounded for not getting off right away, and much more. I stopped and wiped my face, when the third song came around, which while listening to it didn't give me a dark sad feeling anymore, but a happy enlightened feeling of hope, Hope to be able to find another game i can waste my time on with another beautiful soundtrack. Once again thank you for this,, after listening to It I have found myself crying and laughing more then ever, almost like i was still that 7 year old me, sitting in front of that box TV, bringing back memories from over 10 years ago. -Another Kid with memories
That’s honestly so sweet. I played this when I was about 6-7 maybe, but I was always playing alone. I would’ve killed to have my dad play with me. He’s not a video game person.
me too but it was not this game it was the first on but I played it on the wii and when I first got it I was sitting around playing two playing and it was so much fun I wish I could do that again
It really heartens me to read all the comments from people about how important this game was, and how it brought them comfort in childhood and reminds them of days gone by. I may be a little older than the average commenter here; I was 21 when Galaxy came out and I had been living away from home for the first time for just a few months. It really helped with the homesickness and I still go back to the soundtrack to relax. You may be around that age now as you read this, and I really understand the feeling doubt and stress that comes from leaving childhood behind and entering adulthood. Its hard, but there are people all around you who love you and believe in you even if doesn't feel like it. Life gets harder, but it also gets better.
For my opinion, I think this is one of the best and beautiful soundtracks of video games, it gives you a certain air of relaxation perfect for studying. 😉
This is the most beautiful peace of artwork I have ever heard in my life. It made me feel like I was floating in space having no worries about life. Thank you man for making this nostalgic album. It got me threw a lot. Also if anybody needs a hug, here you all go. I also feel like crying.
My wii broke years ago. It’s glad to know I can still have fun.. in an awkward way somehow. I remember all these songs and after a long time a long time ago, stopped thinking about them. They bring back so much potential I feel... I remember waking up early to play this before school. I must admit.. I liked my life way better back then. My life now consists of depression, anxiety and.. never mind. I don’t feel like speaking about it, but I loved the music. I truly, honestly did.
I can tell the same but the thing is that i am in a new contry in Spain and i grew up in Venezuela 🇻🇪 i think i dont habe friends now... some times i think that live is just a circle of misfortunes and that nothing is worth to try but... now days i think so mani things that i dont know... im just sad...
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 alone was a great franchise what made it an even better experience was the music, if Nintendo makes a third game I wonder what great music tracks they could add and create
Chloe Falburg *I really don’t expect there to ever be a Galaxy 3. But Super Mario Odyssey is basically that, combined with 64 and Sunshine. I really think Odyssey will be great if not as good as Super Mario Galaxy. I wish there could at least be a double pack of Galaxy 1+2 on Switch though.*
There won’t be a super MARIO galaxy 3. At least not on the wii. It hurts to say this, but, the wii is dead. If they did make a super Mario galaxy 3, it wouldn’t be like the others because they don’t have the same motion controls on the switch or the Wii U. I’m really hoping and praying that they do make a refresh to the wii and release super Mario galaxy 3 along side it, but I don’t think they will
I Like Clouds I saw very recently that the switch does have good motion controls that games can utilize, so I think that they could release super Mario galaxy 3 for the switch
It's confirmed. Miyamoto said they may make another Galaxy game in the future. "Just because we didn't made another Super Mario Galaxy game in years, it doesn't mean we won't make another one again.''
I got the Collectors edition of this game with the fancy box, but that was a while ago. I was cleaning up my father's house with him, and found it. I remembered the countless hours playing this game, and it almost brought a tear to my face. Mario galaxy has got to be the most nostalgic game for me with the plot, the mechanics, the story, and the characters. God rest this game, and be it in peace.
This just makes me realise how much I miss this game. I used to wake up every morning when I was 5/6 just to play this game before school, then talk about it there. Where did the time go? Yet, I don't want them to remake it. I think we are all incredibly blessed with the 2 we got.
This isn’t really the most light-hearted comment. My family weren’t the nicest people, and would often take a lot of things too far, to the point where I have scars from their “pranks.” Whenever I felt down, I would always boot up the old wii that nobody wanted anymore and play this game. It gave me something to smile about through all those nights I spent alone. It wasn’t something complicated or confusing, just uninhibited fun in a child-like wondrous universe. I hope more in the future are able to enjoy this experience. I’m doing just fine now, and this game definitely helped with that :)
I remember going over to my friend’s house when we were around 7 or 8, and just staying up until 4 in the morning, trading off the controller to see who could beat a certain level. Gosh, I miss those days, and this music brings tears and joy to my heart. Thank you

I remember playing Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 at either my house or at my grandmother's when I was 5 or 6. One day, my parents bought me this Yoshi plushie. I still have to to this day, and everytime I look at it, it always reminds me of this game. And listening to this music makes me so happy, because I remember my childhood being complete just by playing this game. Thank you for this.
This game was my LIFELINE as a kid. I literally spent my early childhood staying up until late hours playing this game, trying to 100% it as both Mario and Luigi, and it just… never got old. I still know almost every song by heart. I had a lot of video game obsessions when I was a kid, but… this game was more special to me than the rest. I will forever be a proud “Nintendo Kid”. I don’t care if it makes me a normie, or a basic gamer, or whatever. Nintendo was and still is a massive part of my life. Thank you for everything, Nintendo.
In my room i have a poster of super mario galaxy, Everytime i see that poster or listen to THIS music i feel... younger... and im sick of my parents and friends saying i'm young my self. this music is a resource for the NEW LEVEL of relax for me. and i can't express this feeling in stupid useless comments
4 Thats the amount of copies of this game i bought when i was younger. The disc would always get scratched and i would always have to convince my parents to let me buy a new copy. This game is just pure art
To someone who reads this, I hope you sleep well, and remember that even the smallest things in life can be life changing. I remember rushing through my homework and chores to play this game when I was young. As a child, space and the galaxy has always captured my imagination, and this game definitely reminds me of the few amazing moments of my childhood. The music, the colors, the levels, the cutscenes, everything. It’s so well done, even the second game. Both games are very special to my inner child. I would be going through a traumatic breakdown, and I remember searching on RUclips: “Super Mario Galaxy Playthrough.” Just to calm my anxiety. Thank you Nintendo for making this game so capturing, so amazing, and so well done. This game and everything about it, will always be a core memory of mine. Thank you ❤
Ikr, I loved it too. I remember spending time just admiring the worlds...and in the observatory taking a shower behind the bathroom, yeeting myself into the void and feeling safe because the bubble would always catch me, waiting for Mario to fall asleep in the garden's flower patch right next to the tree... chatting with the lumas, staring into the cozy fire in the kitchen, listening to Rosalina's story and genuinally not expecting the plot twist and crying and having mom judge me for crying at a video game YOU DON'T GET IT MOM >:'T redoing the baking factory level, the chores those nice old gear ladies need my help with, being afraid of the mole....zooming in the sky just to stare off and listen to the music, catching the delicious star bits, jumping on the toads' heads, chasing the moon bunnies ! Being a bee. Clouding around, feeling like I'm chilling at the beach in the bowl paradise levels, surfing on a cool ray ?? Make Bowser eat dirt for making me panic over the falling stairs ;-; ice skating!!! Being utterly disappointed when Luigi didn't show up and thank me after killing the rock ghost thing that was supposed to have kidnapped him ?? Being reassured to have my toad friends near the big baddies to root for me Aaaand I'm rambling
As soon as i started the video, the nostalgia hit me so hard... as a kid this was the first game i ever had for any gaming platform ever... i remember me as a mer boy and enjoying every bit and moment of this game... as the memories fold back little by little, i can still see tears start to gently flow down my face... not just out of happiness, but the time when everything in my life was all so put together... my brother still living with me, my dad helping me out with everything i needed, my mother caring very much for me and everything i did and still do... it looked as if nothing could severe the life we had sitting right there, this game was my life... as things started getting more realistic, my father left my mother when i was 9... but still took me in with his new girlfriend, the nights i stayed over there... there was a little girl, my new step sister... we shared all the same interests in the wii, Mario, Sonic, Wii Sports... it was as if even during all of our problems, we found the light though gaming... one day though, my father had to leave the girlfriend he had... since then, I’ve been wanting to see my previous step sister... no, my best friend... that helped me keep my life together though playing games and just having fun in general... and to you, the youtuber that made this track for the people to remember everything from their past... I’d like to thank you very much for what you made me remember, and helped me keep my goals in check... and to the rest that happened to take the time out of your day to read my story, i hope you have a good rest of your day... and hope you got similar sensations from just hearing this track
i cant describe how much i played and loved this game because its bigger than anything but i can tell you my story... I would burst through the endless universe of super mario galaxy and would play for countless hours as i discoverd more levels i got more curious, enthused, excited, bursting to play the game to say the least. i cant think of a more memrable video game besides guitar hero 3. this is the only game i can memorize entirely playing through so exited bursting through the door on the way home from school whatever the age, kindergarden, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and all the way up to highschool. jumping down a flight of stairs to get to my wii and play. i am so so SO thankful for having this as my childhood game instead of fortnite. all those kids have to remember is ultimate victory royals and it makes me cringe to say that game will be known as nostalgic. this game here is the alpha game, this game is HOLY, this game is my LIFE... and i will never forget this game and its legacy to evolve many other games even though it was about 3 years ago i will remember all the way to my grave my wish is to be buried with a game in my hands none other than this
im only ten but i remember the good days when every one talked about mario no fortnite but now im stuck on fortnite and have bean saving pocet mony for years to get a new desk but forget that ima blow it on a wii nuncuk and this MASTER PIECE

Not exactly, like when i hit 11 i started thinking about all that

Hey man, there's dangerous people out there for sure, but the news covers bad news for views. The world is not as dangerous as the news makes it out to be. Karson Graves Oh my god it’s so true
"Yes."
We drove home and I dashed to my Wii to play it.I put the game as fast as I could.

I still have both games and never finish tbh ima buy a wii again and finish the games

For all of you who are suffering with the nostalga brought upon by these songs, remember one thing:
You had fun during these times.
All you have to do is start now*
Thank you
Why isn’t this the top comment 😭😭😭
Thanks You
thank you for this
I needed this, thank you.
Back to work now :)
yes, I agree. But 2020 does not.
The past tend to look much better because the memories we hold onto are often the good ones, not the mediocre or bad ones without meaning.
I like the way you look at nostalgia, very nice
Now THIS os the right attitude, look forward to the future, dont forget the past but also dont cry over it! Nostalgia is blind, just like emotion. Sometimes, its better to just let it all go away with time.
honestly, life really doesnt feel the same, i moved arround 3/4 of a year ago, still have pretty much no friends, the school hates me pretty much, my pc is too bad to run games other than roblox and minecraft, so i am stuck in those games, my wii stoped running games, and my xbox 360 broke
This music is worth paying money for.

You never ever ever forget your childhood.
I wasn't emotional until I read your comment. You really do remember your childhood. Vividly and happily ✨😄
It was such a good time it feels like I didnt made everything out of it but it was perfect
@@Kabaye20 Agreed
I couldn't imagine my childhood without this game, and it's so cool to know others feel the same
I remember coming home and watching my dad play this game, before my parents got divorced. Years later, I finished the game and his save for him.
I’m sorry to hear that about your parents, but at least you have the memories of the good days.
I'm sorry you had to watch that happen around you; at least you finished his star legacy.

VeronicaDoesStuff if ya wanna play the game... just do it lad... if ya ever have any time relive those moments...
I can relate to the part where you tried to dance with Mario
I played this game when I was in Kindergarten & everyday @ school when the teachers let us go outside for recess I used to pretend I was Mario & just Naruto Run (pretending I was Mario flying through the sky) & the teachers were telling me “No Running!” Or “Your Gonna Hurt Yourself!!” But I was a savage & didn’t listen to them & the other kids were looking @ me like wtf are you doing? ^_^ lol
I love this comment omg😢😭😭
Mario Galaxy was the first game I remember playing as a child. the music brings memory of a wonderful, more simple time :'3 I absolutely love this game to pieces.
Why did I get a slight emotional rise out of this?

Mario peaked with Mario Galaxy, the best game ever.
And Galaxy 2. While Link peaked with Twilight Princess.
I don't know why but this reminds me of my entire life......

Digestive Cookie _LOL_
Most of the star ball levels I was ok with. Gizmo Galaxy gave me nightmares, though.
Digestive Cookie Ya know what’s worse? THE BOB OMB TRASH CLEANUPS JESUS CHRIST
Same here, this will always and forever be my favorite game.
I can't comment enough on how relaxing or nostalgic this is.
I was listening to this once while looking out my window at a full moon, that is the best experience ive ever had
(i’m french so sorry for my english)
IT’S MY FAVORITE MARIO GAME!! IT AFFECTED MY HEART WHEN I WAS A child and i have always the same feeling since 2007, but with a little bit of nostalgia eheh
Bet it was "Since deux-milles-sept" in your mind while you wrote this XD

Man, I remember the day I got this from my grandmother at Christmas, I and my siblings were so happy.
We got home and played the crap out of it.
We even beat the game within a few weeks and it was amazing!
Thank you for posting this video, it helps me sleep whilst thinking about my childhood.
This took you weeks?????? IT TOOK ME YEARS!

I would sent Lord Gabon to kill them bc it's my childhood
@@jellyman8140 really bruh I went to my friends house yesterday and played for a while and got to one of the last laboratory's within a few hours
Ocean Samurai WHYYYYYYYYYY T^T
When I was 4 or 5 I absolutely loved super Mario Galaxy and it's music, you should've seen my face when I found the second game. I hope they really do make a third game
I, not want, NEED a third SMG. I've played a lot of games in my life and this tops each and every one of them
I can't stop crying and smiling when hearing this music
BF_boy N64 my whole room is full of water and i dont know why... T^T everybody NEEDS a smg 3 game
13:06 this part made my heart skip a beat... i miss this game so much 😭
same bro, but that's from SMG or SMG2 ? i have forgotten...
@@onegloba2425 thats cosmic cove galaxy, from super mario galaxy 2

don't do it
+Joshua Schiattarella What is wrong with you?!

Rosie Low
This comment made me so happy. I hope you ended up playing it again. Super Mario Galaxy is such a wonderful game.
Ben Daniels
I feel you, bud. Now I can’t get through a day without being worried about responsibilities, or just things that are inevitable in general. I wish life could have always stayed as simple as childhood. Surely, it’s better than now...
I feel you. Nowadays is so hard... I want to play this game again
I've seen that name and profile picture n a youtubers channel called raineko and the video was "Feelings are fatal."
I use this to fall asleep when I’m stressed out or homesick
Thanks For loving my comment!
I played this with my dad after he and my mum broke up. I was 4 and this was the time i discovered Nintendo. Thank you dad ♥️
Ryan Symons yes It is:)
That’s honestly so sweet. I played this when I was about 6-7 maybe, but I was always playing alone. I would’ve killed to have my dad play with me. He’s not a video game person.
Me too
Isabelle and the song is called family 😢
me too but it was not this game it was the first on but I played it on the wii and when I first got it I was sitting around playing two playing and it was so much fun I wish I could do that again
:'-)
:'-)
I'm a teen as I'm reading this right now, so this is very helpful thank you ಥ‿ಥ

I am 3 years old (JK I am 15 XD)
For my opinion, I think this is one of the best and beautiful soundtracks of video games, it gives you a certain air of relaxation perfect for studying. 😉
And for sleep too

Hi
GOD ME
My wii broke years ago. I truly, honestly did.
same with me
I can tell the same but the thing is that i am in a new contry in Spain and i grew up in Venezuela 🇻🇪 i think i dont habe friends now... some times i think that live is just a circle of misfortunes and that nothing is worth to try but... now days i think so mani things that i dont know... im just sad...
Say Hi Lobby Same case. I would just want to finish 100% this game
SwiftLobby hey, Wii’s are really cheap on ebay
You can have mine 😄😄
This is my favorite Mario game hands down. The nostalgia Is hitting me like a truck. I miss this man
“I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you actually left them”
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 alone was a great franchise what made it an even better experience was the music, if Nintendo makes a third game I wonder what great music tracks they could add and create
all i know, is that they could make a killer lookin game with the nintendo switch released and hopefully could bring great music like 1 and 2.
I'm going though some stuff at this time and I feel a bit better now. The last song made me cry though. I love this music.
aww good luck with everything!!
+Yoonchi Ya Thank you.
AW hope your day is going great!:)
This makes me feel more comfortable now that 3D collection is actually happening best soundtrack of all time
sometimes, you just need to take a break from the world and relax. this music is great for relaxing, and it makes you feel so many things.
Beautiful just Beautiful.

Nothing wrong with being a Nintendo kid. You go!

Thats the amount of copies of this game i bought when i was younger.

Being reassured to have my toad friends near the big baddies to root for me
