So, perhaps...I should make a new top 10 where I will simply remove the 1-10 rank. I will do a new top 10 where I will combine the best of Mario Galaxy 1 AND 2.
+mazardeus I'd like to personally thank you for leaving out Gusty Garden, while it's an amazing track and one my my personal favorites, it's become a given that it's amazing and I'd love to see the space it holds given to another track.

This is what I say: Odyssey is cool and I really enjoyed it. But the music, the levels, the memories, the bosses, the overall amazing feeling I get when I boot this game in my old wii. This game is a masterpiece, once of the best games I've ever played. Please Nintendo, make me get chills down my spine and release the 3rd game in the series during a direct. I would probably die of happiness.
I liked Odyssey as well but it did not compare to Galaxy at all. Odyssey plays like a sequel to Mario 64 with the hat giving Mario some "Kirby like" ability. Galaxy was so different a with its gravity mechanics and branching ways to finish a stage. last but not least the music for Galaxy is superior in every way. I hope they someday make Galaxy 3.
Lalaphive yeah odyssey has more of the “I give you a big stage now play with it” vibe that Mario 64 had, on the other hand Mario galaxy is more about the stage itself and Mario going through it than all the crazy movement things that are cool, but not as fascinating as the levels in this game
Yea but tbh odyssey kinda dropped the ball with the final boss fight though I mostly spent my time on 3d land and NSMB on ds it didn’t feel as exhilarating as the chase sequence in 3d land which was imo among some of the best and creative boss fights
+Insert Name Here The Undertale music is phenomenal. It's a pixel RPG game basically (just stating by surface) The music is definitely worthy of being noted as the music and the game entirely was made by one individual game developer.

+Lion Universe Me too! This game is love, this game is life. I loved it as a kid and still love it. I cried when I was at Rosalinas Ship and in my Favourite Galaxy: Buoy Base Galaxy
I'm a huge critic when it comes to music, but mario galaxy has the BEST music in any game ever!! The music is not only catchy but it's memorable classy and comfortable to the ears. I just love how most of the music is with such serious orchestra. The piano melodies are simply divine and fits the tranquil environment of space. Best of all it's the only mario game with a serious and beautiful soundtrack instead of the goofy flops and pops of the other games. I feel like mario galaxy will always have a special place in my heart
I get distracted by other cool soundtracks of other games. But I always come back to MG soundtrack. There's something magic about it that keeps me coming back every time.
I played this game for hours as a kid. I was little so I never got more than a third into the game but a bit ago I went on a nostagia trip and dusted off my Wii. I saw this game still in the console and the memories came flooding back. As I played I had the time of my life, getting to amazing bosses and hearing incredible songs that I missed out on. I wasn’t even disappointed, it all felt like I had experienced it before. It was like reuniting with an old friend and I loved every second. As I got only a few levels into the game I realized there was something special. I made a promise to myself that I would explore every corner of the game, and I 100% completed it. It is absolutely in my top 3 favorites of all time and it has the best soundtrack I’ve ever heard. Thanks Nintendo for all the memories!
Seriously I swear there is something truly magical about this soundtrack, as cheesy as it sounds I seriously cannot think of another word for it. Idk how they did it, but this stuff is actually out of this world
It’s not remotely cheesy. It’s beautiful production and if you wiped the soundtrack from your mind and heard it again you would think it was made by a huge popular orchestral team. (Guess it sort of is, lmao)
It's not just great compositions, but also the way it's played is perfection. I've heard London Orchestra playing these tracks and it was way worse than the original. Freakin' London Orchestra!
Skettche You forget the extra 121 stars, new galaxies, and bosses. I suppose every sequel that expanded upon the first game is a level expansion too, huh?
Skettche So Galaxy 2 took all the good shit about Galaxy, multiplied it, and refined it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is a prime example of what I mean. It's not his big, complete makeover you think all sequels should be, but it took the first game, trimmed the fat, and gave new ways to play without totally changing the formula. But hey, that's just level expansion too, huh?
Skettche Cloud Flower, Yoshi? Again the other 121 Stars that Galaxy didn't have? You talk as if Galaxy 2 was the exact same game. It has new galaxies and new ideas. Whether or not it added new ideas is irrelevant. It took what Galaxy did and made it better, just like what a sequel is supposed to do. Your looking for too much. Your expecting the game to be this giant, revolutionary game that has no trace of the previous game.
Wanna know what happens when you spend thousands of dollars on an entire orchestra for a single video game? GREATNESS. All video games should do this now.
I was almost left in tears to be honest. SMG is, was, and will be one of the greatest Mario games. It brings back so many good memories, and even people who haven't played the game will love the music to say the least.
Of all the games I've ever played, super mario galaxy has the prettiest graphics and best music in any game I've EVER played!galaxy 2 was great as well, but this one was just a tad better for me.
I'm pro-Sony but I have to say ; Nintendo gave so much to videos games , when they are high , Nintendo is every time at the top of their art . Nintendo is definitely the best video games compagny.
Man I love these games. I know a lot of people might disagree, but I think the first game gives me better memories than the second. I find the scenario in the first game more sad, it made me cry. Do you guys remember? SPOILER ALERT The story of Rosalina and how the lumps sacrifice themselves ;_; so tear dropping. The second game was not that original.
Yeah i remember the times when i was 8, and i won the final bowser and saw the lumas sacrifice themselves to save the universe. That was so sad that i literally cried Like an hour after that.
Louis Marsolais Yeah the first one is definitely the most nostalgic and memorable. The second is a better game because it's just an improvement over an existing game that was already brilliant, if you'd never played either then 2 would be the better choice. But yeah the first game is the most memorable for anyone who played them both on release

The wii Mario games are my childhood and for me they are the best. Mario Kart Wii,New Super Mario Bros Wii and both Mario Galaxy games. I have such fond memories of playing them with my dad.
I'm playing Odyssey for the first time and decided to come back to my roots. Ah, sweet nostalgia. When I was in middle school 2012-2013 I played Super Mario Galaxy almost every day after school
Such a beautiful feeling. When I was in school, the Gamecube was new. I was only allowed to play weekends, but woke up around 5 AM to sneak and play Star Fox Adventures. AHHHH!!! Good times.
Oohh Fuck.. The memories are flooding.. My old house... Playing this after Basketball Practice on Sunday Afternoon.. Bragging to my friends that I got all the stars... Playing Galaxy 2 when I had that BBQ at my house in front of 20 people....... Oohh.... WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?! NINTENDO- YOU STOLE MY CHILDHOOD! IM NOW A FUCKING 15 YEAR OLD! 😭😭
Watched this video the same month it came out, and 5 years later here I am... Thanks mazardeus for reminding me how much I loved this game and keeping these tunes in my head for almost half a decade
This year, I woke up and went to get my wii to play paper mario. My wii was a gift from my uncle and I received it back in november 2006. It did not turn on, after 14 years it had run its course. I'm currently 23 years old and I will never forget the memories of my childhood. I'm not sad because my wii is dead but I'm happy that I was able to live this memories.
Panchito Jr la verdad esque no creo que la música del S.M.G 2 no fue tan genial, hay que admitir que los mejores temas se los lleva el 1 según mi opinión...
I don't think you can "rank" this game's music. Each song gave me such great memories. I remember being scared of that "shadow Mario" stages as a kid, and also the excited I was of discovering Rosalina's story... Man... I will never forget this things.
Every time I listen to this it brings tears to my eyes 😢😭 it makes me want to save princess peach but at the same time I don't it make me happy and sad
I don’t like being super emotional online, but, this game got me through a crap ton of mental abuse in elementary school. Even just listening to this music is still like telling my ears it’s going to be okay. This game and it’s astonishing soundtrack will always have a place in my heart. Still haven’t finished it yet though, haha.
+Andrew Ricklefs Thank you! ^_^ You are the first person to say something like that to me. That was my intention, really. I have many kinds of videos, but most consist with the theme of beautiful music. Maybe that is why my pic is like that.
Being 15. Remember I played the first one and I fell in love. I remember hearing bout the 2nd one and I begged to my mom to get me it. And she came through. So many memories of me just sitting on a level and listening to the soundtrack, the nostalgia is too much, this game hurts me to know that I can’t play it again. I can’t find a wii anywhere
Vibing with these classics... CHILDHOOD, COME BACK, PLEASE PD: I always have that tear wanting to pop away from my eye every time I hear "To The Gateway"
Translation [unfinished]: Star Festival Battlerock Galaxy Buoy Base Galaxy Gateway Galaxy Melty Molten Galaxy Good Egg Galaxy Space Junk Galaxy Gusty Garden Galaxy
Literally guys, this music seemed so magical when I heard it playing the game as a kid. I’d never really heard such a mystical soundtrack in my life, and I think it fit well with the whole atmospheric-never-ending galaxy theme of the game. Now, as I listen again, I feel all of those feelings again and it’s just amazing.
The fact that this game had a fully orchestrated song is just too much for my nostalgia. In my opinion nintendo will never, I repeat NEVER make a game as importantly nostalgic as this. This was the only time ill let nintendo make me this sad
Oh i had a WII and somehow SOMEHOW i could only get to play this masterpiece recently. I regret spending so much time on mario kart but not this. Amazing game
My #1 top reason why I love SMG is because of the music! Every single piece of music in it has its own feeling to it! I would do anything for SMG 3 to come out!
I'm proud to say that when they ported this to switch via 3D all stars, umma cry the second I see the title screen! Best game of all time no matter what!
This game is by far the best game I have ever played. Even now, when I play it, the amount of nostalgia it brings me is unrivaled with any other game. Thank you, Nintendo.
This is in no particular order, but here are my favorites: Good Egg Galaxy, Gusty Garden Galaxy, Credit Roll, To the Gateway, Fight to the Death at Koopa's Fort, Battlerock Galaxy, The Cosmic Observatory theme, and Final Boss music.
I feel the joy and happiness while listening to the music, yet it makes me so sad. My best friend and I used to play this game a lot together, but now... We aren't friends anymore, but I am very gratefull to have shared 14 years with him. It hurts when I listen to this, I cried... Tears of sadness and of thankfullness. I'm sorry to post this here, but it is such a relief to have written it down somewhere.
Tomorrow my parents will be gone for 2 days so that means I’m home alone, I was tidying the basement when I found my precieus Wii and Mario Galaxy, I will try to finish the game within 24 hours so I can play the game that I loved the most again
If you guys would like to see another nice top 10 for the new Odyssey game, here you go: ruclips.net/video/rxThg85nK5c/видео.html

Such a beautiful feeling. When I was in school, the Gamecube was new. I was only allowed to play weekends, but woke up around 5 AM to sneak and play Star Fox Adventures. AHHHH!!! Good times.
i like how the cover art implies not only that mario is the maestro for the music of his own game but that he is also a galaxy
its sooo awesome that game, i love it!
yep
haha, just watched this video again and saw that my comment has actually becomed one of the top comments :P
i have it on my iPhone free :]
Ohh, nice😊👍
:)
Jake the Human Oh God you're going to make me cry
Watched this video the same month it came out, and 5 years later here I am... Thanks mazardeus for reminding me how much I loved this game and keeping these tunes in my head for almost half a decade
Still here?
@@maestrom5872 Dont you know it!
A lot of the music in this game really took me to my imagination. To me, space junk galaxy music is my fav.
To the gate way is an emotional one
Scratch that they are all emotional
Please Nintendo Galaxy 3 on the Nintendo Switch!
Nintendjoe or in wii u
You really think they're going to make another wii u game? If they did, it would be a terrible marketing decision.
I hope Super Mario Odyssey is more of a cross between sunshine and galaxy, with the same beautiful orchestral work.
EntropicWhale Yeah, I hope so too. Mario Odyssey looks amazing!
Nintenjoe Galaxy 3 will never happen. They don't like to rehash titles for their main Mario games much, especially this long since 2.
Darkaman Trifuerte mmm sii ya esta mas que claro (ノ゚0゚)ノ~
3. is Gusty Garden...
Oh wow! I didn't know that!
+TheBestSack2004 you're wrong the song is also called gusty garden.
I don't think you can "rank" this game's music. Each song gave me such great memories.
I remember being scared of that "shadow Mario" stages as a kid, and also the excited I was of discovering Rosalina's story...
Man... I will never forget this things.

Wow. I played this game in my childness WHAT A NOSTALGIA!!!😢
This game is my personal favorite game of all time, ahead of Last of Us and Ocarina of Time
Same here, but I prefer wind waker over ocarina.
I remember how me and my brother played this a lot on our wii as kids back in the good days
Damn, I already forgot just how good this soundtrack was
HOW CAN YOU FORGET!?
+Daniel Mendoza super mario galaxy is kind of a old game (est. 2007)
+Roblox Shows Still shouldn't forget regardless.
+Daniel Mendoza Agreed the soundtrack is memorable.
+Daniel Mendoza Agreed the soundtrack is memorable. Dosent matter how old it is.
Wow, my very first video to reach past 1 million views. I'm so happy! RUclips has changed a lot for the worst.
Congratulations : )
This game is so epic it's not even funny it is so boss best mario game and best wii game ever!
Yes agreed DEFINETLY!!!

@@donkeykong4983 absolutely 👍
Every time I listen to this it brings tears to my eyes 😢😭 it makes me want to save princess peach but at the same time I don't it make me happy and sad
I don’t like being super emotional online, but, this game got me through a crap ton of mental abuse in elementary school. Even just listening to this music is still like telling my ears it’s going to be okay. This game and it’s astonishing soundtrack will always have a place in my heart.
Still haven’t finished it yet though, haha.
No WAY this is 10 years old
Alex Heard It is now. Nostalgia.
Nice Mozart profile pic, it goes well with the videos you make :) Clever
+Andrew Ricklefs Thank you! ^_^ You are the first person to say something like that to me. That was my intention, really. I have many kinds of videos, but most consist with the theme of beautiful music. Maybe that is why my pic is like that.
Being 15. Remember I played the first one and I fell in love. I remember hearing bout the 2nd one and I begged to my mom to get me it. And she came through. So many memories of me just sitting on a level and listening to the soundtrack, the nostalgia is too much, this game hurts me to know that I can’t play it again. I can’t find a wii anywhere
Pero qué bonito, por dios
Que haces aquí lol
Amo este juego para mi el mejor de todo Mario
@@giancarloabrahamramirezfun8268 para mí igual
Que heces aquí
Pero que buen comentario, mi tocayo
I think it was the Mario Galaxy games that got me into classic music.
Whoever says Gaming music ain't music, show them this!
Vibing with these classics... CHILDHOOD, COME BACK, PLEASE
PD: I always have that tear wanting to pop away from my eye every time I hear "To The Gateway"
Translation [unfinished]:
Star Festival
Battlerock Galaxy
Buoy Base Galaxy
Gateway Galaxy
Melty Molten Galaxy
Good Egg Galaxy
Space Junk Galaxy
Gusty Garden Galaxy
Buoy Base Galaxy’s music gets me every time. It’s just so… epic.
Night Mares mee too it's a very powerful feeling
The fact that this game had a fully orchestrated song is just too much for my nostalgia. In my opinion nintendo will never, I repeat NEVER make a game as importantly nostalgic as this. This was the only time ill let nintendo make me this sad
I can not listen to Floater Land (#8) without getting chills. I love that track so much, especially when the trumpets come in
Why did battlerock theme hit me so damn hard
This is the future, and no super Mario galaxy 3 just the Nintendo switch
Oh i had a WII and somehow SOMEHOW i could only get to play this masterpiece recently. I regret spending so much time on mario kart but not this.
Amazing game
I’m so glad this is on switch now, and we can listen to galaxy music on our own switches!
it’s so good to see that people can bond over one games music
I'm straight up in love with this game's soundtrack
The nostalgia is real :'(
My #1 top reason why I love SMG is because of the music! Every single piece of music in it has its own feeling to it! I would do anything for SMG 3 to come out!
Thank you so much for this video! It wld be amazing if anyone is still here
i thought i would never be coming back to this music but there is just that.......well, details that make it magical
The good old times when games were better and had better story lines
I listen to this and my heart has a warm feeling, a feeling of childhood and nostalgia
We all grew up with it and it is a huge source of inspiration for me today the level of perfection is impressive ❤️
And this music is one of the reasons why this is my favorite game of all time
It's been so long Super Marios Galaxy ... WHERE DID YOU GO?
Lost Save File Same... I want to play it again so bad.
Same
Lost Save File mine too, but I got a new one and cried because of reading the book in the library
IKR T0T
Cal Thacher lol
i love all of these, but where’s luma and rosalina in the observatory?
Memories are flooding in right now
This is in no particular order, but here are my favorites: Good Egg Galaxy, Gusty Garden Galaxy, Credit Roll, To the Gateway, Fight to the Death at Koopa's Fort, Battlerock Galaxy, The Cosmic Observatory theme, and Final Boss music.
I'm sorry to post this here, but it is such a relief to have written it down somewhere.
does anybody else have nostalgia of their childhood when they listen to this? especially starbit festival
This music makes me cry tears of joy
No game ever reached the soundtrack quality of mario galaxy in my opinion
Tomorrow my parents will be gone for 2 days so that means I’m home alone, I was tidying the basement when I found my precieus Wii and Mario Galaxy, I will try to finish the game within 24 hours so I can play the game that I loved the most again
