Honestly, the music in this game is unlike any other. When people mention “video game music”, this isn’t what comes to mind. It’s not just something that just fills the silence when playing the game, it fully submerged you into the game. The soundtrack sounds like something you’d hear at an orchestra concert, not in a video game. The electronic elements are so well placed and add a sense of dreaminess to the already atmospheric score without making a cliché out of the space theme. I loved this game and it’s music so much as a kid, but I didn’t really understand just how good it actually was until I played it again all these years later.

49:41 Bowser's Galaxy Generator has every right to be at #1, it makes me feel a number of emotions and sends memories running through my head, re-listening to it almost brought me to tears. Its like it can paint a picture of a full fledged drama in your head with one listen.
I played Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 on the Dolphin emulator (IMO, I like Galaxy 1 a bit better than its sequel). At first, I thought nothing could top Super Mario World, but I stand corrected.
The world 3 music is nice but every time I hear it I get flash backs when my game would get an error that the disc could not been read. And I never fully beat the game because of that. It happend to both of my copy's of Mario galaxy 2

I personally like the galaxy reactor (song) slightly more than galaxy generator. I think it's because of how varied Galaxy Generator sounds, like so much variety. I also found it to be slightly too triumphant
Finally, someone who actually knows what a top (x number of songs) is! I’ve seen so many people with “top 20” vids but they just play the songs in gameplay order and never get to the good stuff! Only issue is Cosmic Cove is about ten spots lower than it should be.
