That said, I recalled a moment you talked about when talked on the excerpt 'So it came to be that an order was made to be upheld, and thus did humans come to only possess these seven remembrances, and all fragments of the primordial were driven to devour each other.' Isn't this explaining the events of the Archon War? That was the first thing that came to my mind was the war of the gods for the Seven Thrones.
Yeah, it also hint that archons are fragments of the higher ranked beings "shades".. So like how Venti was one if the thousand winds "fragment of Istaroth", others also like that..
Pointing out how the "shades" are higher ranked than the archons, made me think that they can be likened to primary (shades) and secondary (archons) colors, since elements seem to be color-coded. While the primordial one would be something akin to white light.

15:50 this speculation about visions reminded me of madoka magica soul gems a little esp considering that hoyo already did reference madoka with Elysia in HI3
I think the little wisps around Elynas are representations of souls (maybe the ones that died within him?), we see the same ones during the final Caterpillar/Canotila quest when we’re told to follow them through the Book world.
So here's 1 thing that proves that us the MC and our twin arrived in Teyvat at the same time was the opening scene of the game. We are travelling together and we see our stars cross over Mond with Venti's statues. That marks Venti as the Archon and already owning the Gnosis. It's doesn't disprove the Samsara/cycle but it proves that our twin came with us this time. I think Neuillette is likely to become amenable to the other archons once the history of Celestia's choice becomes more clear. Ei took over to role from her sister and that info is not public and she is not privy to the contract Makoto made with Celestia in fact Ei might have spoken directly with Celestia even if she was part of the Archons' meeting in Teyvat of the past. Zhongl probably has quite a story to tell once he's not under a NDA that encapulates 6000+ years and Venti playing the "fool" has got sooo much dirty for being a "NEW" spirit born during the Archon War Era. Nahida gets a pass already by Neuvillette simply because he might view her like Furina's situation. But once the world realizes she took on the mantle and is not simply reborn with no "memories" I hope they understand the actual burden on this new life.
I mean that doesn't help much with timeline, no one really questions the twins landing around 500 years ago. Venti meanwhile has been an archon for several thousand years, so of course his statues are around. The question is if the cutscene with the Heavenly Principals was at our summoning to Teyvat, or at us trying to escape during the cataclysm.
@@RenaDeles we're not exactly sure when they landed tho, we only know the sibling woke the traveler up during the fall of Khaenri'ah no ? I think it was confirmed by the traveler (in the we will be reunited quest) that the twins fell to Teyvat, the sibling woke up some unknown time before, and then during the cataclysm woke the traveler and tried to leave and then met the unknown god? Unless it was since proved false
55:56 I don't think it's stated that the bodies of Jakob and Rene are different from all other Fontainians and more similar to the Archon's. Rene's notes only compared him and Jakob to Karl, so it may just be that Karl is not a Fontainian Oceanid-Turned-Human. He could be from another nation, or perhaps a descendant of Remurians who were not Oceanids.
Why.. Azhdaha is described the same way Neuvillette and Apep are in CN translation, being dragon lords. The whole Azhdaha ≠ sovereign thing is only really a discussion in EN, CN doesn't use Sovereign so I guess it's no surprise there. Dvalin has been known for being a Vishap since Enka, so he's definitely applicable and Neuvillette isn't a retcon either, because that was foreshadowed in Enka too, we've known that Azhdaha is almost certainly as old as Teyvat/human realm so he's definitely not a new concept either.

Yout break down makes a lot of things I found ofd much clearer : Regarding the matter of visions, there is a rather weird ascension voiceline of Zhong Li that mentioned visions in a very out of fashion way and it reads "I see. Using a Vision harnesses elements. As far as the common folk are concerned, this is no small feat. So... back then... they were aware of this as they stood beside me..." Regarding the ciclicality of Teyvat, and again, there is a strange thing going around in the quest of "Amidst chaos, a rock is unmoved" : Jiu: Morax! A thousand years after you sealed me underground... you return for the second time... Zhongli: ... Zhongli: You should call it by its name, Azhdaha... fate. Jiu: Fate? Jiu: Fate!!! Hahahaha! Jiu: So here lies the wisdom of the gods? Destroy all deemed redundant, enlist tyrants to ravage the wilderness! the dialog evolved in a very strange way afterwards : Kun Jun: That's unimportant... fate is ordained by heaven. Even if our mission had already concluded, it would be cowardly not to strike out on the road of departure. Kun Jun: You may live forever, doomed to a lonely existence... yet even this is temporary. When you reach the end of time, those people, those past and future relationships predetermined by fate... They will be waiting for you. This part is very intresting, because "Fate" is literally viewed by both Morax and Azhdaha as the order of the divine, we could already point in 1.1 that the Lords of Vishaps are predestined, and that the goal of the thrones is to supress the recurring of that power. The odd thing is, the reaction of Neuvillette towards humans is almost the same as that of Azhdaha, he was drawn someway to understand that for whatever reason, the humanity and their God was not their enemy. Also when you talked about the Samsara of civilizations rising and falling, it reminds me of a line in the same quest : Zhongli: Even without a god above, this remains a nation of men. I was once their god, I ought to be here to witness their rise and fall. It was also FATED that Azhdaha will awaken again and become a threat to Liyue FOR SURE, which again reminds of the myths in Byakuyakoku surrounding the fight against the dragon and so forth. And Zhong Li madebit clear that in the occurence of the event he would not get involved and that humanity needs to stand for itself, thus why he considered his duty to be over. Therefore there is still something odd about that whole situation.
Orobashi was not Sovereign, he was an archon who's little weaker than other archons. He did experiment on Vishaps because he wanted to learn about them , then utilize them. He's like Zhongli, having human form and beast form. And we see his human form carved on one side of the Enkanomyia islands
Holy shit descenders repeating each others history, blew my mind. That means a descender is sacrificed everytime a cycle is completed. Then Irminsul resets the world and the cycle begins anew.
So I was thinking about the word "Remains". What if your twin ascended to Celestia and then was stripped of their power to strengthen the power of the Gnosis'? Thus, leaving your twin powerless. That's when they seek the power of the abyss to compensate. The remains are their remaining descender power.
Adding to the fact that people with constellations with their own image are more powerful (have more power to change the world), perhaps the fact that adepti have their "beast" counterparts as their constellation might imply something at their power and its origin.
I wonder if King Deseret was The Pale Prince. If you believe the Goddess of Flowers was the one of the moon sisters, and she and Deseret were in love and she helped him tap into the forbidden knowledge, which he tried to use to overthrow Celestia and let humans rule Teyvat. Think about how as well we got some much lore on Deseret, even though he’s gone. Pretty much the entire desert was an archeological trip to learn about Deseret, and he was tied to Khanri’ah as well. Why would the devs spend so much time on Deseret if he wasn’t important to the overall story? I honestly think that Deseret was Otto Apocalypse expy. Anyhow I also think that the sinner is Deseret’s consciousness, and his body was made into the gnosis. So he’s not technically dead. Edit: It’d be super cool if we get an Enkanomiya area expansion underneath Fontaine to explain where the vishaps came from. So Enkanomiya is based on Greece and Rumeria is Rome, right? I’m assuming Rumeria, is based on Rome because the Roman Empire was established by Remus and Romulus. I also think that Khanri’ah was made up of survivors of the unified civilization that was nuked by celestia nails. It could explain why the Khanri’ahians rejected all gods. They went from having the divine walk among them, and provide them with food and rain, to having the primordial one destroying their civilizations with celestial nails. That seems like a pretty damn compelling reason to abandon all gods and rebel against them.
The only thing is: Seelie race was already destroyed before GoF reach the desert.. Aldo Deshret had no knowledge of what happened and what caused Seelie race to be Banished from Celestia.. she had to tell him these hidden truths
What if Venti did destroy his throne!? He gave his power to Dvalin right and was so severely weakened that he didn't notice the Futui skulking around? But! he is one of the thousand winds of time and it seems like bs that Senora could sneak up on him right outside his own church. He had beef with the Tsaritsa. Or rather she did with him. So maybe that was his way of getting rid of the gnosis while fooling her? He may act silly but he's sly af. He has been an Archon almost as long as Morax and may have existed for much longer as a sprite. I'm just saying i dont think its ever stated. And no visible shenanigans happened in Fontaine when the throne was destroyed just the white light from the Oratrice and killing an Archon doesn't destroy the throne afterall, it just makes a new Archon ascend. So it was Focelor who did that part of it and initiated the power transfer to Neuvillete and not the sword of damocles situation.
It seems the tsaritsa just wants the gnosis, it doesnt matter if they have any authority in them or not, since the one nuevilette gave arlechinno was a gnosis without it's authority. So venti could have indeed transfered authority to dvalin before knowing it would get taken by tsaritsa.
@@Necrochaosium huh, you know I never thought of collecting them as recombining. Maybe a resurrection of the previous descender, or a reanimation, will happen.
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks Im not sure he would have to die to reinstate the Anemo dragon throne though. We know that when an Archon dies a new one is chosen transferring the throne and its power. And I'm assuming the gnosis is merely a powerful chain binding the Archons to a pact with Celestia. The Dragons authority can obviously be separated from the Gnosis too. So when Venti 'gave his strength' to heal Dvalin, it could have had a subtler meaning. That's just a theory though. We don't really know enough. And Venti would never tell imo.
"automatied system in place" to grant visions + the First "had their functions ruined" both suggest to me that the First Descender/Primordial one is a machine or construct. "Had their functions ruined" is a _very strange_ way of indicating someone was severely injured or incapacitated.
Azdha is not the new geo sovereign, years of war and erosion have left him as a shadow of his true self. He’s older than Zhongli who is at least 6000 years old lol.
He's the only geo dragon we know. And he's likely the first Sovereign, defeated and shattered but refirmed over the years. ZL found him sealed deep beneath the earth and gave him sight.
A gnosis doesn't care what it's element is. It doesn't hand out only Visions of it's element but rather it hands out Visions to it's nation. Otherwise Ganyu couldn't get a Cryo Vision 500 years before there was a Cryo Archon. At the time there was only Zhongli's gnosis.
regarding 39:20 - Do we have confirmation that he was actually born in Fontaine? I was kind of under the impression that all we knew was that Focalors invited him to the court to be Iudex but we don't really know anything about him prior to that.
If the visions are fragments of that archon power / authority, and vision holders that do well in performing their duty ascend and given more abundant gifts... and based on the webtoon of the Celestia that Vannessa went into... What if Celestia is collecting ascended vision holders to become candidates for archon-hood for the next samsara. If the archon war was a battle amongst gods that determined the elements of Teyvat, the next one may be a war amongst vision holders of the same elements, to determine which one can hold these "fragments" altogether and become the next gods of the new samsara. For the past years, I've been wondering what similarities do each vision holders of a particular element have. Like Ayaka, Wrio, Charlotte, Qiqi have that made them deserve a cryo fragment over other elements. I was theorizing a more of a "The Voice" type of team making, tbh. lol.
What is the logic behind a nail dropping on Nabu Malikata? Because Apep is pretty clear that a nail was dropped on her that turned Sumeru to desert, and we don't exactly have a second nail in the desert.
If the nail was there before Nabu died, Deshret would have used it right away. When the nail dropped, Deshret harnessed its power and used it to create the eternal oasis, which is Nabu last resting place. Deshret was one who could use all powers in the world, all elements, forbidden knowledge, nails, genie, anything.. I think he was even seeking way to control Apep herself, and the fact that he had accumulated such amount of forbidden knowledge that it could do all of that to Apep when she swallowed him shows how much he could handle!
I could be completely wrong but I'm pretty sure we don't actually know if Before Sun and Moon was the reason Orobashii was sentenced to death, people are just assuming the info in the book is what did it.
I think that Dvalin and Neuvillette are quite young. Azdaha is one of the oldest, and is probably much older than Apep. He is dying. (the erosion) In his current state he is not fit to rule. So in a sense Liyue is like Inazuma; without a sovereign.
I’m still a little confused about the idea of consciousness preventing incarnation; in that, Egeria’s consciousness is bound to Teyvat via the Harvestakham (sp?). It seems like there’s some implication or effect it would have had on the succession of archonhood… Afterall, Ei’s body is gone, but her consciousness is bound to the Raiden Shogun puppet- archonhood has not been passed to another. Or I could just be overthinking a video game
We are all here to overthink a video game :D But regardless, the consciousness and incarnation don't seem to be too important factors for archonhood, as you also point out in your examples. It is just like a position, a title, influenced more by the Gnosis and the being's physical form perhaps. The Sovereigns however seem more like a lineage/hereditary thing, on a spiritual level via incarnation.
I think Neuvillette was able to be reborn only after Egeria has died. Since Egeria was the new heart created from primordial sea to control the primordial sea and the hydro sovereign was the heart for the primordial sea, neuvillette might have be reborn from the remains of Egeria
Is it posible that Neuvillete reborn as human connected to how Boethieus sealed and killed Sycilla in a goblet full of inchor(impure primordial water that mixed with human soul) just how Melusine is born from the Elynas+Clockwork Meka that exploded (which has arkhe) and killed the garde that chased down Narsizenkreuz Ordo? And I'm assuming the gnosis is merely a powerful chain binding the Archons to a pact with Celestia. The Dragons authority can obviously be separated from the Gnosis too. So when Venti 'gave his strength' to heal Dvalin, it could have had a subtler meaning. That's just a theory though. We don't really know enough. And Venti would never tell imo.
So we're on the 4th world loop... and the traveller is the 4th decender... interesting. One per loop then
"automatied system in place" to grant visions + the First "had their functions ruined" both suggest to me that the First Descender/Primordial one is a machine or construct. "Had their functions ruined" is a _very strange_ way of indicating someone was severely injured or incapacitated.
I'm pretty sure Neuvillette's name is Otter or Oter, based off of the theme of dragons naming after dwarves and the very obvious otters in Fountain xD

Ganymede's "Beast Mode" switch is broken - you just can't turn it off!
regarding 39:20 - Do we have confirmation that he was actually born in Fontaine?
I was theorizing a more of a "The Voice" type of team making, tbh. lol.
There's no next cycle, the world formula prove we are in the final one, and the world will not be reborn anymore.
I just realized Pahsiv is Vishap backwards.
I didnt realize anything about pahsiv at all. I went through the story quest and I kid you not, when the vishap joined i was like "Oh sick"
I'm a simple man. I hear Nier, I like the video.
But no seriously great video.
52:09 Ha-ha! Khaenri'ah!
Yessssss
Zhongli is a descender
:O BIG LORE
Fischl at least the one in game is widely known to be a cosplayer whose real name is Amy
Pahsiv!
Enjou said Vishap turn into human after they're lose to Enkanomiya's people... so... yeah... idk😂
27:00 (personal timestamp) :)
Waittt lmaoo now we know my raiden is so strong 😂 all these anemo users with dead electro friends 💀💀
I need turkish otomatic translate :(
Pahsiv -> vishaP
nervilette is so corny
I havent seen anyone talk about this the primordial sea is just the sea of quanta? Like it's clearly described as rhe space between worlds
I definitely feel like it's not a coincidence that some of the most recent HI3rd quests involved a 'corridor' between worlds that was part of the Sea of Quanta and found at the bottom of a giant waterfall!!!!
Good vid yo
