Your beauty, humor and strength shine through and is TRULY an inspiration! Yay! There is hope for me!!
Natural hair is the absolute way to go. . I did the big chop a year ago as well and my hair has doubled in length as wella s super healthy. If I had only know long time ago, a perm would have never touched my head. Love it. .Keep inspiring.
@crochetchic91 Thanks! You do not have to BC. Just do a long term transition until you feel comfortable. I am impatient and the two textures drove me crazy lol That's why I did the BC...and I don't regret it. It gave me time to learn my hair in its short stage.

Love your personality and I appreciate the fact that you are not much into protective hairstyles. I wear my signature afro and it is rather big now. I do protective styles periodically, but not often. I have VERY low maintenance. Also, I never had a perm in my life, but I did start from a TWA two years ago after cutting my hair off for years and years. I love your blow dry look at shoulder length a LOT. I amy considering blow drying once. Thank you for such fabulous energy! Bravo!
Love it! Thick and healthy progress. I made one year and want to flat iron, but I'm afraid I'm going to either hate it or love it too much...I want to love it enough to do it every now and then, but if it comes out anything like your flat iron I know I will get heat damage..lol I'm a "hat" girl in the winter (dont like my head cold) so my plan is to keep it semi straight for the winter starting Jan 2012 (3/4 months) Always loved your hair. Wow, I just had to comment! My BC: May 1, 2010, and my hair grew out at the same rate! I laughed so hard when you did that APL dance! And now, in April I can't believe that mine is just about grazing BSL. People always tell me that my hair grew back so fast, but it seems normal to me, and I have now found my hair twin!!! Oh and we have the same texture too, so I'm going to have to steal some of your 'dos.... gorgeous!

OMG, Great job, I transitioned for a few months then cut off my hair the end of October, I cut my hair 4inches all around, and I'm now 5.5 inches, so it's true, natural hair IF taken cared of will GROW.....:)

I've been natural for almost 7 months and I'm loving it!! Whether you choose to bc or long term transition, there are tons of vids here on YT to get you through it.
@crochetchic91 Hi there! I transitioned for 17 months before I chopped. It really helped me because I treated my tresses as if they were already natural. I learned tons of different no heat styling methods & reached BSL before I started cutting away at my ends. Do whatever is comfy for u - & I agree w/MsChante; there's a huge support system for you! :)
