Albert would give him the same advice as he did Gary Moore and SVR. I don’t think this is an insult but rather a compliment to the foundation of blues. I don’t think the song was evocative as Albert’s which could be an intentional creative direction.
It’s songs like this that will stand the test of time and expect many flavors.
RIP “The Velvet Bulldozer” a legend before his time!
