      Agree. He has actually shown to be able to play in these positions, unlike Gundogan.

    • @davydbubbles7613
      @davydbubbles7613 2 года назад

      I heavily disagree. For years he would demand to play in midfield or on the wing for Austria and it was painful to watch. I mean, sure, it's impressive that he can play these positions on a professional level, but it's not a very high professional level, at least not compared to his quality as CB/LB. His range was basically from terrible to passable. Finally putting him back in defence has been a huge improvement for the team in recent years.

      @@davydbubbles7613 I mean every versatile player has their best positions. Kimmich would do terrible as a striker, don't really fancy him as a CB either. He's best at left back and CDM/CM. There are better options in the world at CAM and RW/LW as well.
      Same goes for millner, very versatile but his position has been as a running CM or hanging winger in his earlier years.

    Hear me out… a team of Alphonso Davies’s would do well because he’s strong, quick, has good stamina and plays as a winger/striker for Canada. He is 6ft tall and has the physicality to play as a cb, the stamina,aggression and defensive abilities of a cdm and he could play in a good 4-2-3-1. The thing that is even more important in my opinion is how used the player is to a positionchange . I would categories it in their Skillset, adaptability and Physical ability. I think someone like Goretzka would probably be perfect from his build and his skillset but he doesn't bring the adaptability or never needed to show it. A player like Kimmich is Similar to Goretzka but he is really good to adapt to new roles but he lacks the physical ability in some departments. So I think a mixture would be the best. Someone like perisic is quite good at adapting to new roles (LW,Striker,Wingback, Midfield etc) and has a good mixture between speed, balance and strenght/height. His skillset is probably not as wellrounded as someone like Goretzka but I think with his excellent heading and workrates he could fulfill the defensive roles to an ok Standard.

    Think Declan Rice is a good shout. Proven as an excellent centre- back and DM, drives the ball forward well enough to do a job at full back or elsewhere in the midfield, can beat people as well. Would lack goals though. Tbh, at 6 foot and athletic think he'd be ok in net too.

    I haven’t even finished watching the video and I can say that Reece James could outplay any player in this list. Full back, right wing, center mid, number 9. He can do it all.

      What are you smoking, he doesn’t have the calmness and control to operate in midfield. He beats players with power and that’s why he is suited out wide and a good defender but he looks average in midfield. Saw him in a few games for Chelsea last season. World class at defending and stacking out wide but average at best playing midfield.

    Marcos Llorente started his career as a defensive midfielder, was converted to a center forward following the Liverpool game where he scored twice, won La Liga playing as a hybrid right winger / attacking midfielder, played this season at wing back due to injuries and played fullback for Spain at the EUROs. Ridiculously athletic player, his speed and strength alone make him a great 1v1 defender and he has the stamina to run for 90 minutes all season. As versatile as they come, he'd probably make a good centre back as well, and more than anyone on this list he's also proven to be an attacking threat, even if he is not as technically gifted as most of them. He got 25 goal contributions from midfield when Atlético won the title. I have no clue how you did not include him when his teammates Saúl and Wass at least feature in the honourable mentions section haha, in my opinion he'd easily top this list.

    A player that immediately popped into my mind was a prime Miguel Layun. At his time at Porto, he played at almost every position in outfield. A LB, his skill and amazing crossing ability enable him to play at all the positions in both wings. Because of his solid defending, he could also play as CB. His intelligence and ability to read the game make him a good defensive and central MF and his skill would also help him at offensive tasks in the midfield or even as a second striker. As a CF, he could bag some goals, but he's more of a playmaker than a goalscorer. The fact that he's also a great professional and someone who really loves the game just add up. One of my favorite players to have ever worn a Porto shirt

    Look at this: Deyovaisio Zeefuik from Hertha BSC
    He was bought from Groningen in 2020 as a promising talent on the right back positon. He played many games in his first 1 1/2 years at hertha, almost all as right back or right mid. He also played one game as a left mid and got subbed on as a right wing sometimes. But at the end he couldn’t make it in the starting 11 anymore so he got loaned out to Blackburn where he not only played as right back and right mid but also at left mid and as a striker. Now back at hertha with jonjoe Kenny arriving at the RB position he was a candidate to be sold. Now in the friendly games the new coach at hertha played zeefuik as central mid and a center mid and never ever in the last 2 years I’ve seen zeefuik performing this well. But this isn’t even all. Just today in a friendly match he played 90 minutes as a center back. This man has played every possible position except for left wing, left back and offensive mid in the last 12 months
