- According to BFGoodrich The HD-Terrain T/A® KT tyres were tested in some of the most extreme conditions on earth and rolled away ready for more. Made with an all-new tread compound specifically designed to resist chipping and tearing, you’re able to focus less on your equipment and more on the job.
Join Jared as he breaks them down in the studio, not literally, although that could be fun one day, really put a tyre to the sword, literally!
If you are running these let us know your experience over at

Been waiting for these to arrive in Aus :)
we need them in Vic with all the pot holes
I have a set of these in 35'' on my 2021 f-250 powerstroke. they run quiet, little sqiushy on corners. After having the centers siped by the dealer a week later, they are pretty good in winter condition up here in the cascade mountian range. I'll buy a set for my F-350 when its due for another set fully siped.
Great review! Just ordered a set of 35/12.5/20 for my 2019 F350. Will update once installed. Not much feed back or reviews even here in States.
20 inch rims on a 4wd? I can't relate to that. Kind of like running tank tracks on a formular 1
I've run these in 33" on my 76 series for about a year. I was a bit sceptical at first but had limited options when buying new tyres. First thing I noticed was the softer sidewall compared to the previous MT Atz P3. However after 20,000km including K'gari, across Australia, Kimberly, GRR and Tanami road I am impressed with the BFG. I travel heavy and tow a 2t hybrid. The tyres have been great on sand but I now run slightly higher pressure than with previous tyres. After absolutely punishing conditions on the Tanami and Kimberly I had no punctures. The compound has surprised me most - no chips or cuts that I can see. The wear is very acceptable and even. The tyres are reasonably quiet considering the tread. At this stage I expect to get at least 80, 000 km out of them. Can't fault them know I've worked out my ideal pressures.
comparing to what the 76 suggests, how do your pressures differ, lower vs higher, and by how much?
@@Stormbringer748considering my wagon is a touring fatso - about 4psi more in the back and 2psi in the front for on road. Translates to about 44 rear and 42 front. A bit more in the rear if towing - then manage for sidewall heat. I don't drop pressure as much as I used to off road. In sand 20psi all round was my go to pressure. Now I'll start at 24psi for sand. I mainly go by how the tyres look for the terrain and how hot they are getting on longer hauls.
@@17Viking My bus won't be nearly as heavy as the 76, around 3t all up, but I get what you're say re how they look, as I am more visual when deflating vs looking at the actual numbers. Cheers for the response.
Nice mate cheers, im always hunting tough tyres for here in Central Australia. Ive just put a set of Toyo Open Country MT, ive ran them before and had great results. Good solid reliable tyres. Im really interested in these KT's! I wonder how they'd go on my LandCruiser... i think they be great for the bush on a relatively heavy vehicle.
Surprised that they are not 3 Peak rated. Many HD trucks in the States are used for snow plowing...
LOOK REALLY BAD ASS !! PUTTIN A SET ON MY 2023 FORD BRONCO LT 255X75X17 .. 400$$ EACH NEVADA, USA
Just bought 5 of them put them on my ford ranger - 285/70/17 done just over 2thousand kms on them and so far iam impressed with them especially the grip in the current wet conditions around Sydney
I’m looking at these and same tyre size as you have on my n70 spacecab hilux. Being a little lighter on my feet I’ll get some good km out of them.
Are they noisy on the highway?
@@everc9674 so far no they are not but as they start to wear down I suspect they may get louder so far still very happy with them good luck with your choice
@@thelastone021 I suspect you will iam very happy so far with them good luck with your choice
@@BJC282 thank you I appreciate your help
I reckon they will be expensive
Like any other tyre with BFG written on the sidewall.
So it wont be suitable for my Hilux then..
I’m gonna give them ago on my n70 hilux 🤷🏻♂️
This is just a KM3 with lees deep thread blocks. It's not a real RT Hybrid tire. The best one, by far, is the New Goodyear Duratrac RT. That's the one!
We've had really bad luck with our Duratrac's. Good grip and good all around tire, but they chip and melt off of our heavier trucks. These BFG HD's have been a really good summer tire for northern British Columbia.
What the hell is an "RT?" and while we're at it. What the hell is a "KT?'. In Australia we have road tyres, AT all terain and MT mudterrain. Anything else short circuits my brain lol
