Grey Delisle voice is astounding. So poise and confident, so happy she was casted as female wizard, my favorite class. I also loved her in avatar as Asula!
Loved Robin Atkin Downes as the Demon Hunter, though. Always enjoy listening to him. Still, I was expecting a "they played us like a damn fiddle!" line.
Mr. Robin Atkin Downes is awesome. I know this'll sound stupid, but I wish I could get an autograph from him someday. I became a fan due to his Brynjolf character on Skyrim. He and his voice-actor/actress pals have true talent.
I am bad at recognising actors faces in movies. BUT, I do recognise voices quite often. I can hear the voice through an accent. Sometimes a few actors can change intonation (James McAvoy) and it throws me a little. But I get their identity in the end. So I really, really, really appreciated all the voices in D3. I need to make my 1 criticism - Deckard Cain/Michael Gough had a voice from the 1980's and it should have stayed there - some actors over-express here & there and then sound odd the rest of the time. But Deckard Cain I did not like, beginning to end. That having said Michael Keating deserves an award for Kormac. A few years later I was playing WoW:Legion and I went "Hang on, that's Kormac" as I died in the fight. But it's so much fun to spot the voices :) But, yes, D3 voices are dear to me. SO much dialog, such solid performances. Shout out to Jonathan Adams too, who succeeds in sounding 7 foot tall without sounding unhinged. P.S. If anyone reading this still works at Blizz - RUN, RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY NOW AND FAST ! Whoever was there and loved to make games has long since left.
I am looking for scoundrel's VA/Lyndon. That's troy Baker, I heard that British act of his in god of war Ragnarok as a the bitter squirrel he voiced for!
I personally really liked the inclusion of Leiah and some of the other characters, they just screwed up the tone of entire thing. Reaper of souls theme was how all of diablo should have been.
30.000 - 60.000 lines, huh? And people wonder why a lot of people complain about Diablo 3 not feeling like a Diablo game. People and even demons not stop talking was one of the reasons why there was barely no "Diabloesque" atmosphere in D3. Less should be more in Diablo.
+Owari Dragon Yeah, it's not a character-driven game. It's driven by atmosphere. The characters are hollow, expendable shells. Diablo should have maybe two or three lines and otherwise just be this overwhelming PRESENCE. The whole game should ooze atmosphere and just feel totally empty and nihilistic.
I listened to that part many times and I'd say 100% sure that she said: 13.000-16.000 lines! :) (And if you think about the in-game lines that you hear during gameplay, these numbers sound closer to reality...) I partly agree with you guys about this "less is more" point of view, especially when it comes to evil characters; e.g. in D2 Diablo himself was much more fearsome with his only line: "Not even death can save you from me!", while in D3 he would never shut up! BUT talking to countless NPCs in the game made it more human to me! In Act 3, for example, you can identify with people's fates in the middle of a losing battle and see how a child becomes an orphan, or how a woman loses her husband (who would never be a father anymore) etc. Though surrounded by these tragedies, you are the only hero who can help them and save all that is still held sacred! This way of thinking was that always helped me give the strength to fight against the darkness! So I feel fine with this amount of speech, as I don't really like it when a game is only about "killing by clicking", ignoring the game's world and everyone else in it. :)
I don't think Diablo 2 ignored the game world. You certainly get a sense for who the assassins were, Blood Raven and so forth. Tyrael too, was just so much more mysterious and desperate in 2 than he was in 3. In 3 he's with you all the time and he's just some guy. But truly D2 had more dialogue than I originally implied it did. I think Leah bugs me more than anything in D3. You can't build a game like this around a cute adventurous magical girl. No matter what your twist is. That doesn't make any sense.
Alex Marcy Still, I've heard rumors that Blizzard wants to bring back Leah somehow in the next game (or at least help her soul put to rest), saying that she didn't deserve this cruel fate - and I partly agree with that, as she didn't bother me as much as you. My main problem with D3 was not Leah, but a whole lot of other things instead (I guess the list would be too long to write here)... :D
D2 Tyrael had the perfect voice with a true angelic vibe and a well-fitting echo.. this one is just over-acting.. Jill Dane i never mentioned the wizard btw, he is good.
A Akoush yeah toward the end of the game Tyrael gets really bad...but for the most part I was fine with the voice acting for Tyrael. You know since Diablo is such an over-the-top game for me, it's why I didn't really mind some of the more over-the-top voices like Tyrael or Kormac haha
Jonathan Adams as Tyrael is so iconic. It reminds me of Lance Reddick as Zavala in Destiny. Truly powerful voices.
Looks the part too
RIP Lance Reddick 😢
Also Keith David voicing the Arbiter
Wow. The guy who voices deckard is amazing. Like WOOOOW that's so good!!
Dude, Tyrales voice actor is amaring

Eirena's voice is so Beautiful and innocent 🌹🦄🕊
Demon Hunter's voice actor looks like... Demon Hunter! ))
Tyraels voice actor sounds a lot like James Earl Jones. Just an epic voice.
I just realized that blonde guy also plays the voice of Alucard from Hellsing as well.
Crispin Freeman's voice is golden! 👌
And Itachi from Naruto!
The voice actors are amazing
You guys really rock "a sharper blade was never forged" lmao ! badass is the word indeed :).
2:18 Wizard has been my main since launch, but now that I've seen the emo hair highlights behind it, I'm suddenly glad I saved up all that Lovely Dye.
Dorian Harewood - male Barb (Julian Wilkes in Viper)
Dominic Keating - Kormac the Templar (Malcom Reed in Enterprise)
Loved Robin Atkin Downes as the Demon Hunter, though.
Always enjoy listening to him.
Still, I was expecting a "they played us like a damn fiddle!" line.
That Tyrael guy has a young Morgan Freeman quality 😊
Stay a while and listen

OMG that guy at 4:10 does the voice of appa and momo from avatar the last airbender ! :D
Dee Bradley Baker is a man of many talents!
0:54, 2:45 Princess Azula.
Alright show of hands who all named their female wizard characters Azula? Haha
Yep! Also, who couldn't wait to shoot lightning and pretend she really WAS Azula?
+John Canary icky vicky?

she plays vicky the babysitter from fairly odd parents
+randomkidlol I know.
DEE BRADLEY BAKER?!?!?!?

Omg!!! Declared Cain, Eirena!
I am bad at recognising actors faces in movies. BUT, I do recognise voices quite often. I can hear the voice through an accent. Sometimes a few actors can change intonation (James McAvoy) and it throws me a little. But I get their identity in the end.

2:45 ugh
Awesome and great voice actor that’s good too
I am looking for scoundrel's VA/Lyndon. That's troy Baker, I heard that British act of his in god of war Ragnarok as a the bitter squirrel he voiced for!
That Man who voices Kormac reminds me alot of John Lennon.
I love the female Demon hunter. Love Laura Bailey.
Just here after noticing Jiriyah's voice, AKA the Toad Sage David Lodge. Good choice there.
it was nice,thank you
nice to see Robin again. He means a lot to me

Diablo III's class voices are so, so much better than Diablo IV.
I am too much for you
30.000 - 60.000 lines, huh?

+Alex Marcy (Aldrius) The ominous mystery and sinister gloom of the old games are a distant memory to this soap opera of a sequel that we got.
I listened to that part many times and I'd say 100% sure that she said: 13.000-16.000 lines! :) (And if you think about the in-game lines that you hear during gameplay, these numbers sound closer to reality...)

:58 fake old voice is... fake.
Damn... I knew i shouldnt had try to see the faces of the voice actors. Spoiled my image of Diablo characters now...
Shallow bitch.
Tyrael's voice was the worst
Malthael voice was the best
Too bad the script of Diablo 3 was so terrible and pure cringe.
Tyrael's voice was the biggest mistake ever..
Rather have him than generic white guy circa Diablo 2.
Why ? His voice is so manly it melts my male body. and the wizard looks hot. his voice is cute.
D2 Tyrael had the perfect voice with a true angelic vibe and a well-fitting echo.. this one is just over-acting.. Jill Dane i never mentioned the wizard btw, he is good.
Are you referring to Crispin Freeman for the Wizard(male)?
A Akoush yeah toward the end of the game Tyrael gets really bad...but for the most part I was fine with the voice acting for Tyrael. You know since Diablo is such an over-the-top game for me, it's why I didn't really mind some of the more over-the-top voices like Tyrael or Kormac haha
ughhh deckard cain's voice sounds so forced and unnatural. I know its been like that since the previous games but it's just terrible.
godam d3 voice actors ewwwwwwwwwwwww
İ love deckard :)
