    Thanks to Platinum Motor Cars for making this review possible! Check out the listing for this M2 Comp below:
    www.pmcdetroit....
    The BMW M2 Competition replaces the regular M2 and brings the upgraded S55 engine from the BMW M3/M4. Other performance upgrades ensure this is the best driving BMW vehicle you can buy today! Sure the DCT might be the fastest, but this example equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission is all about driver involvement and the driving experience!

    Having driven both the regular m2 and the comp I would say the comp is the way to go hands down. The only thing the non comp has going for it is a slighty better sound. I wasn’t a believer and thought I wouldn’t be able to tell a difference from the regular m2 and the comp but trust me it’s a massive difference.

    • @defyyourlogic487

      40 hp at 200 extra lb is not a massive difference but that sound is, might as well cheap out on both and get a tuned 240i instead.

      @@defyyourlogic487 The chassis setup on the Competition is miles better than on the OG M2. The S55 also has much better throttle response.

  • @hellario2
    @hellario2 5 лет назад +2

    Question as I'm getting close to pulling the trigger: around 60k price point, what is best and why?
    2018 M4 comp (low miles)
    2019 M2 comp (new-ish)
    2016 Jaguar F type R AWD (20k or so miles)
    I like M4 cabin the best (and it seems like middle ground), M2 might be best for California canyons, while F type would make the best GT... I hate that none of them support Android auto or have usable self driving features as I plan to keep the car for 8+ years, and would like that extra utility

    Love your videos Eddie. I would have to disagree with your thoughts on the looks on the prior gen 1-Series. Yeah, it's a bit bubble-ish but it was designed to have elements that mimic the look of the classic 2002 such as the side horizontal feature line that runs the length of the car with near vertical body elements below that - a complete departure from the E90. The current 2-series has lost that design language and just like a squeezed F30

Do the manufacturers make you sign an agreement forcing you to say that? Every single person who's ever watched a car video has heard that a million times. It adds nothing to your status as a car reviewer.
