I've always loved how high the skill ceiling for f2l is. It's just so cool seeing how advanced these techniques can get, and I always find it so satisfying when I try something a bit more creative and it somehow works.
And it was yesterday when I was wondering staring at my roof when will I be able to learn pseudoslotting and how will I get those spicyyyy Tymon moments and NOW JPERM LEGIT MADE A VIDEO ON IT!!!!! You know what Dylan sir? I just want to take a minute to thank you. It was teacher's day 10 days ago in India and I forgot to wish you and now I find myself here. ALL MY SPEEDCUBING SKILLS have come from you. I remember not getting below a minute and now I a avg 15 seconds. You are a TRUE God's creation! Love from India
As some one who already was fairly confident with all the examples show in this video I am impressed how well and simply he laid it out I feel like it would have been accessible to me even when I was averaging mid 30s if I had watched this video
Thanks for always explaining things in a way that won't make my head hurt (makes me save on painkillers). And yes, Multislotting with Keyhole doesn't sound nearly as magical as Pseudoslotting. PS: My only criticism is that there wasn't a joke at the end of the video so this only gets a 9.9999/10.
Dang, dude. I've been a casual solver for many years, and this really helped me make a breakthrough with my average times. Thanks for making such a comprehensive guide!
I've been learning advanced F2L from beginner method F2L. I have many of your F2L videos up on my computer browser in open tabs for quick reference, including your multislotting video. I've been practicing keyholing a lot. It's helped me lower my times (set a new PB of 47.771 last night). F2L is really hard, but each day I get a little better at recognizing pairs. Having an understanding from the beginning of what pseudoslotting and keyholing are I think has really helped me to start to learn to recognize instances when those are going to help me quickly grab a pair or two without a lot more moves.
Hey Jperm, would you ever consider making a video about Turning style? People throw this term around a lot, but no one really goes in-depth. It'd be really cool if you could delve into the elements of a turning style, how to figure out what your turning style is, and maybe what the "ideal" turning style is/styles are, or just how to make one's turning style better.
When I had first learned of keyhole from you I actually experimented with this quite a bit, but I just thought that my center intuition just wasn't good enough to make good use of it, mainly due to the fact of being colorblind. Cool to see a video on it!
@@troliskimosko I don't simply because I prefer stickerless Gan cubes. I tried looking for good cubes that were stickerless and had an alternative color scheme, but I couldn't find any. Maybe I didn't search hard enough...
@@Zdog696A bit late, but you might consider dying piece caps with Rit dye or something similar. There are plenty of colors, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to make a color scheme that you can recognize.

Pseudoslotting is all fun, but the most useful thing you explained here is EO recognition. The rule of good and bad edges is not that commonly known, while I think it is something that every beginner should know from the very beginning of learning F2L, it's just such a simple way to improve your recognition and avoid rotations
i was thinking of starting doing (so many Ing's) pseudoslotting when I used to average 14 but so many people told me that it was a waste of time and wouldn't make me any faster, perhaps do me slower, now i average about under 13 and I've gotten so many good solves because of using this pseudo technique. thank you J perm for making this more accessible for cubers all around the world
I remember hearing about this way back in 2012 and thinking it was nearly impossible to actually do in solves. Crazy to think about how far it's come since then
