    This is good. Even for someone like me who’s new to jazz. Your tutorials are really easy to understand approach…esp when you mention restrict your line,, stick to the major scale,,, this is great way to practice licks.

    Thank you so much for your videos. I have had a hard time finding a teacher as teachers are very expensive. It feels like you are my teacher, except I don't pay you haha. Really thank you so much though, I am having so much fun harmonizing these standards to my own tastes.

    Besides the interesting things you present about the tune and practicing - this morning the tone of your piano and the excellent quality of your recordings jumped out at me. (There are so many poirly recorded videos on youtube… and terribly out of tune pianos) I’d be interested to know what brand and model grand piano you’re playing - and how you record it. Thank You so much for your videos. 😎👊🏽❤️

      Thanks Tim. I use a Tascam D40. The piano is a Yamaha G 5 from 1980. I tune it myself.

    Can someone refresh my memory on which diminished scales correspond to each dominant chord? Is it the half whole to get the flat 9?

    • @TonyWinston
      @TonyWinston  2 года назад

      Start with 1/2 step. Think of it this way. Root, flat 9, Sharp nine, third, flat five
