Krummholz, which are stunted, windblown trees growing near tree line on mountains.. they are tough because from afar you cant tell if they are going to be ankle deep or go up to your waist.
Awesome hike Nick! We successfully bushwhacked and bagged Ramsey Peak off of the Stormy Peaks trail, and combined it with Skull Point and Sugarloaf Mountain to loop it back to the Pass and back out. We thought the route finding was really fun on this one. Our video on it will be out here in a few weeks.
