@@ForestHillPresbyterianChurch Yes you are correct. The director is Mack Wilberg. (Technically the choir's name is now just "Tabernacle Choir," but the old name is infinitely recognizable so it's all good.) :)
Food for thought and I don’t know Latin...is it sin or sins? I am no theologian but there is a lot of significance to either word and it relates to mans condition at the root of it all that causes momentary sinful events. Maybe just maybe Jesus takes care of sin AND sins at the atoning sacrifice on the cross once and for all. Commments?
“Ἴδε ὁ Ἀμνὸς τοῦ Θεοῦ ὁ αἴρων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου. the words τὴν ἁμαρτίαν (the sin) are singular, and denote the whole condition of sin in the universe . john 1;29.
He takes care of the original sin that made us mortal (so that we would be able to defeat death and be resurrected) and he takes care of individual sins. The sins that we commit every day (so that if we repent and reject our sins each time we commit them, we can be forgiven and not have to suffer for them).
Simply fantastic singing...but the message is even better! Jesus, the Lamb of God, that takes away the sin of the world.
well said.
Listening to this during Easter hits different🔥🔥🔥🙏🏾✝️
I'm gonna sing this with our school..... I'm looking forward to it sooo much!!!
Beautifully sung with real feeling. Thanks for posting.
Great ..love it so much .listen over and over again
I love to watch the faces as they sing those words and what it means to each individual, it’s beautiful to watch..
This is a tender interpretation and so rich - clearly "felt". Some choirs sing this quite staccato but this flows.
most sacred of music. So lovely
Wonderfull!!!! Divine!!!
Beautifully sung, such feeling brought out. Thank you for posting - very helpful to sing with.
I have never heard this sung so beautifully. Who is this choir?
I think it's the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

What Latin? They're singing in simple English from the Gospel according to John, Chater 1.
He takes care of the original sin that made us mortal (so that we would be able to defeat death and be resurrected) and he takes care of individual sins. ALL SIN...past present and future...forgiven when we trust Christ alone to save us...John 5:24.
