Well Tbf the vet here was asking important questions like how it happened and how much the dog ingested which could greatly change the course of action depending on the information provided
Just like with doctors, they’re explaining what is going to happen. Causing less distress for the owner. Also, the title is over exaggerated for clicks.
When I was in middle school, we had adopted a sweet dog from a friend. He was a bit of an outside dog with her, so we let him go outside a lot. One of our neighbors fed him a rat poison laced treat....we didn't know anything was wrong until in the middle of the night I heard him throwing up over n over again...turned the lights on to clean it up and the living room floor was covered in blood n he was just laying in the middle of it struggling to survive. My dad scooped him up n rushed him to the hospital but in the end, we had to put him down that night to end his suffering. He had hemorrhages all throughout his body n there was no saving him.
This happened to our dog too 4 years ago. Luckily our vet did the same thing (though it appears our doggo ate more of the poison) and he survived without any damages. Now he’s 5 years old and the happiest dog I know ❤
@@ooriioon Well I am not saying he should panic and run around like a mad man, just do something and stop chatting, until you know he is okay and not have minutes to live as it says in the title...

So glad that Cliff ended up being okay and they didn't stall for longer than they did Edit: Imagine arguing that an emergency vet should move quicker to treat a poisoned dog only to have people going "um, actually... he cant do that!!" bro. Okay? Im still standing by what I said don't twist my words
The extra direct to the camera talking might be after the treatment is completed and they editted in. Not saying that is the case, saying it could be, because while explaining is needed, I doubt any vet worth his salt would stop just to explain to the camera in mid-consultation and treatment.

Im glad this dog could be saved. A few years ago two of my beloved dogs had been poisoned. I don’t how or why. My first one was already dead when we had woken up and the second one was in the process of dying. (This was when my parents were separated and my mum had my siblings and the dogs) she had rushed him to the vet but he couldn’t be saved. The first one was Odie, a pure black lab and the second was Tyson, a ridgeback cross red heeler. I also had one of my cats at the time, Simba, shot by a BB gun. Its sad but at least they’re in a better place
Thanks guys, it’s okay now though. It did hurt, especially since I got so attached to them yknow? But they’re in a better place now free from pain, and that’s what makes me happy.
I had an emergency where my dog ate a whole pack of pain medicine for a surgery he had, he somehow got ahold of it so we called the vet and they had told us to give our dog a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and it would immediately induce vomiting and it actually had saved my dog, he had to drink a lot of water after 😳
My sis probably saved her dog's life after it ate a whole box of black chocolate ( like 70 % cocoa). It was the beginning of the pandemic, the only emergency vet open was two hours away, all the drugstores were closed ( it was like 9 pm) and she went on Facebook to ask for help to get some hydrogene peroxyde (which the emergency vet had recommended) A complete stranger answered her. She was living 7 minutes away. That lady was awesome. The dog vomited so much black chocolate, it was everywhere Thanks to that nice woman, the dog is alive today, in great shape, and even had a litter last year.
"The sooner we intervene, the better off he's going to be", he says, after having a leisurely and slow conversation about the poisoning and delaying immediate action. This guy talks like a sloth, lol.
I don’t know but it might be a panic think because dogs can feel panic so if they keep calm he won’t panic and maybe it will be easier to treat I don’t know though I’m not an expert
Years ago, a friend had a dog that was half yellow lab mixed with Great Dane and Wolf. He was enormous. The wolf showed in his facial structure ( big scary teeth) but he was the friendliest goofball, he just didn't realize he was too big to be a lap dog. He spent much of his time in the backyard that was fully fenced in. One day, a neighbor threw meat over the fence that had been laced with rat poison. It took him days to die. He didn't go without suffering either. All because someone couldn't see how friendly he was, only how scary he was. 20 years later and I still miss him, even though he would most likely have passed from natural causes by now anyway. @@cynthia1477 bro the thing is, they r talking non stop while the dog is dying, eat some common sense fruits pls maybe that will get ur iq to 100
@@CentralProcessingUnitCore - editing...as in they did the close up shots of Chris and the owner talking afterwards and spliced them in aka.. they didn't interrupt Cliff's care to discuss the price of tea....
I work for a reputable pest control company and this is the absolute worst nightmare scenario. I have three dogs myself, and I hate using any sort of poison for mice or rats for this exact reason. No matter how safe or eco friendly sprays or baits have become. Brom” is a dehydrator and I wouldn’t wish that anxiety or concern upon anyone. Glad the lil buddy is okay!

The entire video i was screaming JUST TREAT IT ALREADY NOT JUST SIT THERE
I hate that they stand there and discuss how quickly they need to take action, but they're just sitting there!
Sadly it’s part of procedures and such..they have to do some stuff first and discuss what happened and treatments, can’t always jump right in!
it's also called editing...
Me during few minutes past the video: "Will you guys Stop talking?! And start treatment!"
That "client" had excellent restraint in holding up that vein lol
50 min ago if my dog ate rat poison I would be going 100mph in a school zone to make sure he gets to the vet
I love how it's a serious emergency and the dog has "minutes to live " but Chris is just taking his time talking and leisurely moving like he doesn't have a care in the world .
are you aware of the concept of editing? when he (or the owner are talking to the camera) it's an edited shot - that's why it's a close up, cropped shot...
@@cynthia1477 but that makes the show so unrealistic . All the editing makes it seem like it's fake .
@@cynthia1477 Thats not even relevant. Because the un-edited shots where it's just them talking to eachother in the room are still way too leisurely and slow for two people who have a dying dog in front of them
@@Adnonnymous - what do you think they should have been doing - specifically, in detail, point by point...
I love dogs so much 😢
Imagine saving this man for NO REASON AT ALL and then just staring at him almost forgetting you’re on camera
I’m so sad😢😢😢
