What do you make of the new Pinarello Dogma F? 🎉
Punarello🤣
@@kanchandratip2972 Admin Spent too much time staring at the bike and not proof reading 😉
Je suis un fan Specialized ,j’adore mon sl7 sworks 2023 ,depuis que je l’ai plus aucun autre vélo ne me fait envie…
Sadly it doesn't help me enjoy cycling more. I'm at that age where a steel frame 🚲 (fat tire, road, gravel, single speed cruiser brake, etc) that works OK is good for me. This 🚲 technology is fun to look at but it doesn't help me anymore.
is it compatible with mechanical groupsets?
I don’t race, care little about aero gains and prefer mostly comfort with performance. It’s not for me and would be seriously too expensive for my budget. But it’s fun to see what the pros are using.
It would be fun to ride one for a couple of minutes on a closed course at some trade event, just to see what the very high end is like. But otherwise, I have no interest in them.
@@kovie9162I'd be too scared to drop it like an idiot and owe them a new bike.
lol...Aero is SO overrated for us mortals. Great bike, but I personally like more a climbing bike with 50mm deep wheels. That set up gets it done for me.
@@kovie9162 It's not about the bike, It's about the engine. Lance Armstrong.
You aren't missing anything that you won't rrember a few days later.
@@samuel8590this is me. 2021 TCR with 52/63 reserve wheels
I rather like Ollies presentation of the bike. The information is on point and delivered in an enthusiastic but sober manner. He states that the content is sponsored and I respect that. Besides the bike being great, I‘m sure, I did not feel dragged by the hair to fall in love with it. I could do with less of the overly dramatic music…but hey 😅
Well done!
What a beautiful bike. I'd never buy one that expensive but it's nice to look at. One of my favorite bikes I've seen this year.
I almost didn't watch this video because I'm not in the market for a Pinarello bike--or any bike, for that matter. But I'm glad I did. I learned a lot about bike aerodynamics and why bike designers make the decisions they do. Revelatory for this non-techie cyclist! Thank you!
Wasn't really into Pinarello until I visited their shop in Shanghai... The bikes do look very nice in person.
8:35 SHEEEEEEEP *squeals in Clarkson's voice*
The bike looks right at home here! 👌 🐑
Sick bike, I could only dream of ever owning a Dogma F.
Easily the most beautiful frame design ever. Especially the all black one.
Anyone else here Spray Painter by trade? Amazing what finishes add in value. Especially metallics, sheens, and fades of recent. Still a lot in time and mental inventory though... thats just the finish process, before the bike/product is even built! Aesthetics have such intrinsic value more than ever in my opinion! Kudos Pinarello.
I appreciate learning about high end bikes. I don’t need one, but innovation benefits everyone. That paint is amazing
Well, I watched gcn Italy reviewing it and there is no comparison with yours. You are absolutely the best truly teller here!
Have to wonder if the paint on the seat post will be damaged by raising and lowering.
yup, very much... SET and FORGET
Or cleaning out the boltheads to adjust the height.
I'd buy it just for the looks - immaculate ❤️
Thanks Dr O , and crew .
I'm planning to try a paint effect like that on some pine panels to cover access points at home: stop valves for showers accessed from wall behind the showers, etc. High quality oil-based clear varnishes of different lustre levels sanded at slight angles, re-finished with a bit of dye in the mixes. Just to see if it works and goes with some metallic effect tiles
Fantastic summary as always - stunning bike
Great report and thanks for the latest update on the F! Currently I ride the Plutonium Dogma F Flash with Shimano C60’s and love it,,,, A team built the bike for my whilst I was in Mestrino just a short hop from Treviso factory and shop there.
Beautiful bike, well out of my price range but lovely to look at, brilliant having Ollie back 🤓
Glad to see them getting their frame weight down a bit.
Fabulous colour built a Reynolds 531 in 76 in same colour my favourite bike ever.
Just don't get Matt paint, from experience.
I rode all Pinas since the Prince. The descending skills of the last F were outstanding. Can’t wait to test the new one up and down Stelvio, sunrise may be Ollie?😉
100%
And it breaks the bank! I stick to my BMC RM for now! Thank you.
Looks the same as the last 3?
Nah bro looks again
Indeed. Put it next to a Tarmac and you will barely notice the difference.
I rode Pinarello exclusively for more than three decades. Moved over the Bianchi and I'm not changing any time soon.
What made you take the jump? 👀
@@gcn i hate black bikes and that's all they had on offer when i was ready to buy, and I always wanted a celeste Bianchi.
@@johnandrews3568 How about this new colour? It looks even better in person 🙌
@@gcn It's nice but celeste is best!
Gorgeous video (and bike)!
Beautiful bike, beautiful color. Looks like it is still cold over there.
Man, I was watching some serious news video, then I scrolled down and saw your gorgeous figure Ollie, and I couldnt help but click the video. I dont regret it. Great vid. Keep em coming.
Where is Ollie all black Pinarello ?
He doesn't talk about that bike.
Love this, keep it up!
Even the background music is strategically chosen (it's spend money, buy me,tv advert music)
Yes, when did this channel turn into infomercials?
Hoping the Dogma F will available soon for rent out here in Tuscany! Come join in...
Awesome bike.. Great values, especially for freds
Was this filmed in the hills around Abergavenny? Looks amazing! Bikes not bad either :-)
Looks very Welsh doesn’t it? Stunning roads
Might be filmed around the Bwlch? I came here to ask the same question.
@@gingerrussell ARAF/Slow on the roads - certainly Wales but where ?
If anyone watching this wanted a Pinarello look for new old stock 2022 Prince, Paris, Dogma models. I think Pinarello is offering some hefty incentives for dealers to clear those out with big discounts.
Lovely job Ollie, where was that filmed please ?
AND MORE EXPENSIVE 😁
Yes I like expensive
More expensive means more better
If you find it expensive it’s most likely not marketed for you. My cycling friends that purchase these bikes are not very price sensitive and will buy what they want, not what they need.
Well, for once it's actually the same as before.
It’s not for broke people
Looks great.
Since you’re swapping out the wheels may I please have the old ones?
I would love a set of Princeton wheels!
Can't find the COMPETITION link?!
might have to cop.
GO OLLIE GO !!!! - Pinarello bike looks sick - GCN hat looks shyte - next ......... AYE
Tom Pidcock ride 50cm frame the trail was 68mm which is too long in old Dogma so he want's to increase rake to get faster handling, but due to Pinarello use the same fork to all frames, the trail number in new Dogma will be less than 53.3 for frame size larger than 56cm which Ollie is riding. The handling should be quite twitchy for him especially he use narrow handle bar. Perheps this is why he seems avoiding give comments in 10:34.
Did you lend it to Francis Cade after your review? He's holding the same bike under your vid on my subscribed 😅
It's so good everyone wants a slice 🙌
They did review it and called it “Phenomenal” 😮
I honestly feel that Carbon frames have had their time. From what I can gather, only Time build their frames consistently well, because carbon is so hard to work with. I feel - with 32mm tyres - we’re heading back to metal frames, probably aluminium alloys, because they’re cheap and easy to work with. The only downside was comfort - but that’s irrelevant with 32mm tyres at 55psi.
Does the seat post still creak?
Not if you grease it, like anything else.
TOP TIER INTRO BRO 🔥🔥
Tan walls set it off 😍😍😍
Nice roads. Where did you film this video please?
Wales. ARAF = SLOW.
Yorkshire Moors
@@Tbo1235 somewhere in Wales, the drone footage on one shot showed the bilingual road markings Araf or Slow in English
@@nemeanf27 the shape of the hills in the background looked like the Black Mountains to me.
wales never fails!
Ollie, this makes me want y’all to do a video on how a non-pro (non-rich) rider can have a superbike. For those of us shopping for a new bike for say 3k to 5k budget, can you cover options for buying a used superbike in the same range. Which would be the best bargains, how to find them, maybe a contest among the presenters to see who found the best bang for buck.
8.2 kg Canyon Ultegra DI2 with Dura-Ace SPD-R pedals and 2 bottle holders for, I recon, 1/3rd of the price of this Pinarello. Satisfied and delighted ;-)
Like me mate, when I compare my Toyota Corolla with Ferrari. 😂
I'd take an Alpe d'Huez or Skylon over this any day of week.
Wales never fails 🙌
This is so much an advert of a sponsor!
Bingo 🙌 We love showing off the best new tech. We understand this is a top of the line bike but it's great to nerd out over 🤓
@@gcn fair play. Expect the same enthusiasm for non-sponsoring brands as well 😉
The statement “This is not a review” was a clue for you… 🤡
TBH, having Pinnarello as a Sponsor is a boss move
@@dominicbritt yeah but the video was exactly a review 😂
Dream bike.
My "old" dogma F (Pianrello size 54) with exact same spec but with wider Ultra Talon Bars 420mm and Metron 45 SL wheels and 200g Pedals weights 7270g so really minor difference...
The dogma is strong with this one...
where was this filmed please, looks a great place for a day out
What are your thoughts on the new dogma vs the sl8?
It's a stunning bike but even more the beautiful landscape. Where is it?
It is Wales!
Dream bike
Dream Bike
The seatstay looks straighter on the new model. I prefer the curvier seatstay of the F and F12
Maybe it's me but the melted Picassoesque aesthetic of Pinarellos doesn't do it for me... cool bike though. 🤷🏽♂
If you like straight lines. do you like the 'new' look blade 795 blade rs? It is quite the opposite from this design.
I own a Dogma F plutonium flash, I care less about the engineered side and what kind of aerodynamic as I'm not a pro nor amateur racer, just enjoy the design and the coloring.
TBH, even the new Dogma F, I will just go for MyWay instead of the available color.
As an owner of an Elves frame that has the colour change effect, I'd formally like to welcome Pinarello owners of this new paint style to the party. Welcome, and kindly check-in the chip on your sholuder at the concierge counter. (Smug smirk)
Jokes aside, Im not a fan of the blue but Im sure the other colour options would look beautiful.
its basically the same as the old one with different paint jobs.
Do they make a rim brake version as two years ago?
Not this time! This is a disc brake only bike 🙌
He said it's discs only
I can't wait for all of the comments, thats why I'm here
We can't either! Bring on the engagement 👌
"it's too expensive"
"it's a dentists bike"
"I can't afford it, my mum won't let me" and more...
People are always really mad that any new bike exists... I don't get it.
I get a few of these in a year or two. 😁😁😁
Ill stick to my 2014 tcr
Absolutely beautiful but horrifically expensive, one for the elite level riders.
Princeton wheels are fire
And add to the price
Suprised to see Ollie in what look like Specialized Torch shoes?
Art ❤
Very creative with the naming scheme there 😂 I'm sure Dogma F is way better than Dogma F 😂
Like how the S-Works Tarmac is better than S-Works Tarmac or how Giant TCR SL is better than Giant TCR SL, or how the Cervelo S5 is better than the Cervelo S5, or how the Canyon Aeroad CFR is better than the Canyon Aeroad CFR…
They literally just brought their naming convention in line with the rest of the industry as “Dogma” now indicates their top of the range model, and the F or X designates the geometry.
@@RyonBeachner at least Tarmac has the 'SL8' generation designation, but the fact that others do it as well doesn't make it any less confusing. I've tried to look up info on an older Canyon before, even finding the model year was hard.
They have the X series. What one frame does it all?????
Is there really any difference between the different 5um "top end" UHM carbon fibres Toray sells to different bike manufacturers. At 5um they are all basically the same as T1000.
IMHO they each get a "special" version of 5um so they can advertise having something more exclusive than "mainstream" 5um T1000...
worth upgrade from the old F?
The color is amazing, shame its so damn expensive
4:35 I ask myself the same thing 😭
3:30
If only Martinez was riding the new pinarello this Grio, lol.
It’s a great ride if you want people to know you live near Richmond Park.
Same marketing bs every year.
You clicked on this btw
He was pretty upfront about it not being a review…
@@dominicbritt so? He would say the same thing on every new bike regardless if it's a review or showcase

@@AlpenDitrix nah
According to some reports riding on drops is less aero than on hoods. Why not to cut them off?
Cause you might wanna sprint?
@@vesalehtinen4534 Good point!
want them for descending too!
Have you checked their website it looks like you can get a rim break version,!!!!! as well. You said there is only disc brake version. Can you please clarify.
Night and day, eh? Bet it doesn't compare badly to my 2009 Scott CR1 Team. Shimano 105 10-spd, stock Mavic Aksium wheels and all 😂
No mention of the price for some reason 🤔
Mega thing. Satin paint can get in the sea though - I've got it on my Specialized Levo, I made the mistake of breathing on it and it scratched. Pretty weak. Hope Pinarello have done a better job...
Would you go for a different colour?
@@gcn Colour is wicked... satin paint appears to be quite fragile is all.
Does it have an E version?
Nowadays we have to ask: is it compatible with cable operated derailleurs?
She's a Beaute Clark!
Should we do GCN rides to Wally World 🤣
@@gcn Did you get a Jelly of the Month subscription with your new Pinarello?😁
Aerodynamics more important than weight on a climb? That could indeed be dogma.
Will it give Ineos some wins at the TDF? 🇫🇷
Not wearing aero gloves negates both. 😅
Can someone tell me which other brand copied the head tube design?
The pro riders are usually riding in a break or peloton so drafting plays a big part
@@jdancougaSpecialized on the SL8
Paint finish is absolutely incredible, but color is a bit too purple imo
That'll be $7,250 for the frame set alone.
Just get a Chinarello, £399 for frameset.
VeloBuild.
and then get your teeth fixed by the dentist that owns a true pinarello. 🤣
Stunning. Out of my budget but I love seeing the details on these super bikes.
"Today don't sell that type of fibers to any brand" -> marketing bollocks
Muscle 💪looks turned into more smooth shape in details 🥹🙃❤🎉 New super light Carbon fiber material make it more light as feather 🪶 😎🚴
So it's not a review as Pinarello are a sponsor. Whilst I doubt there are any bad points, this is just a commercial for the bike. I'd love one btw but my point stands.
More weight savings, more stiffness, more aero, more money, less people cares…
