So appretantly my older brother had Schizophrenia .. He lived away in London and he lost his job and became homeless for a while and then he became depressed.. I welcomed him to come live with me in America to which he agreed, but he was not the same person.. he had no motivation and he was always thinking to himself.. he did not want to engage in any conversation .. Often times he would tell me that he hears these sounds that annoys him he also claimed that a lot of people were "staring" at him.. I kept telling him that its all in your head and to ignore such things.. None of this helped.. He went to see a counselor but that did not help either.. He decided he would move back to London to "find himself".. that was his reasoning and I was dumb enough to agree and let him move back.. A few weeks later my cousin from London called me to tell me that he committed suicide .. I swear I was so devastated and angry words could not describe how angry I was!!! I blamed myself for not being there more for him. I am still trying to recover from this terrible loss but its not easy.

Thomas, my reply is a year after your comment but I just have to reply. With the best will and all the love in the world ( not to mention resource ) you cannot hope to anticipate what a person with schizophrenia might do. I live near the west coast of France and care for ( perhaps 'support' is a better word ) my step daughter. Her own family, including her mother, will have nothing to do with her. She has spent a good deal of time in hospital and is in one as I write. She goes missing from time to time and has been picked up in places like Lyon ( 400km away ) and Milan in Italy. My Friend's son also with the same condition has obliged his father to always be ready to bail him out of some difficulty. I at least was partly prepared because I have a son with autism. Different affliction but it prepares you for what might might happen. I once caught my step-daughter hanging out the window of our 5th floor apartment. An hour earlier and you would not have guessed anything was amiss....and I am well used to her changes in mood and demeanor. You did what anyone could have done for his brother. I am well used to the 24/24 kind of supervision they sometimes need and its not easy. His death is not your fault but the fault of a condition that can turn some of them in to a loose cannon, rarely dangerous to others but often dangerous to themselves. He turned to you and you were there for him. I wish you peace.

I am a mother of schizophrenic son who is currently at the hospital since he had a crisis about two weeks ago. I think much of the suffering comes from not understanding the illness. I am myself living with polio all my life in a wheelchair and I remember saying that if God sent me a disabled child I would know how to make him happy and when was diagnose with schizophrenia I found myself very ignorant about the whole thing, but one thing I tell him every day how much I love him. Thank you for all I learn with this video.

Two of the most beautiful people I met were diagnosed with schizophrenia. I was treated in a mental health clinic for two months and these men befriended me and became a grounding force for me. One is extremely talented and we laughed as he could always tell if pieces of a puzzle were missing (I would check and he was right). He told me he was schizophrenic and just stopped taking his meds as he thought he was feeling better (but that his wife would kill him if he did again :)). The other is a young man creative and sensitive. When he told me of his condition I stupidly asked "are you ok now?" and he gave me a broad smile and said "I am perfectly fine because now I hear less voices" and then picked up his guitar and sung beautifully. All Im trying to say is that schizophrenia is a title and people havent got "labels" on them. We are all pretty much the same and we all face struggles. Lets just be more open and not judge so easily and see how better things would be for all of us.

I'm just glad I've found an unbiased video on schizophrenia. I've been diagnosed by several psychiatrists as a paranoid schizophrenic. I've got enough insight to dismiss the possession of demons as total ignorance.

    • @LardBigfoot
      @LardBigfoot 10 лет назад +13

Actually, the video IS biased, but in the other direction. An unbiased video would simply present facts without the positive emotional message attached.

    • @ericcrawford8346
      @ericcrawford8346 10 лет назад +6

LardBigfoot In my opinion as a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, it's unbiased. There is a ''business'' in the pharmaceutical industry, but I can relate to the personal experiences of the people being interviewed. I don't know what the hell your ''point'' is, or why you even commented.

    • @LardBigfoot
      @LardBigfoot 10 лет назад +1

Eric Crawford OH, I get it now. From your biased perspective, the video is unbiased. That makes sense. My point is that the video isn't unbiased. I'm glad I was able to clear that up.

Can you explain furthermore what it is like to believe that you're possessed?

    • @Mario1vsSonic1
      @Mario1vsSonic1 7 лет назад

Zack Also, the argument that "I am diagnosed and I can relate" is extremely legit, how the fook can it be unbiased if you can't even relate to that? Like, we have a documentary about LSD and no ome who has ever taken LSD can relate to the documentarys description of the effects of LSD. If that is the case it is probably a lot of propaganda. Take any situation like that: the immigrants rape and live on the states moneh in random city. And then people who live there don't know a single immigrant without a job. Of course that is an extreme but you get my point.
Take any sotuation like that: either it is propaganda or it can't be confirmed

I asked my doctor for a simple sedative. He forced Paxil on me, I told him it wasn’t the right meds. He insisted. 3 months later I completely broke down. I felt like I could tear the world in half, like I could pull god from heaven & tear him apart. I was walking into traffic, never eating, I lost 30 pounds in that 3 month period. When I broke, I revisited my doctor, told him what I’d been going through & he wept. I told him how dangerous I felt, the room was heavy with a power hate & purpose driven malevolence. He provided the medicine I initially asked him for, he complied & I’ve been fine ever since. These meds are dangerous, long term they don’t know what they’re going to do. I fear the mentally ill sometimes become Guinea pigs for some of these newer drugs. It’s a very dangerous edge to balance on.

I have all the Symptoms of Schizophrenia. It's only now that I have come to terms with it. Awhile back I had an immense psychotic episode. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. It was torture, I couldn't sleep for months and I had to deal with horrors others couldn't comprehend.
But it's only now that I have learned to use my thoughts against themselves. Take that fear and turn it into a challenge. Fight your fears, hold back against the 'darkness' trying to hold you back. If you can hold back against it, you begin to see what you can accomplish.
I have turned my illness into a personal/spiritual lesson. I turn my pain into love for others. My worries for my own safe being into the worry of those around me. I don't introvert myself, rather, know that I have the limitless power to help those around me. Even if it's one person I can make happy, I do my best.
I now have an open mind and I genuinely want world peace. I understand humanity belongs united and that we ALL suffer in our own ways. Your pain is not meant to be taken alone. If you are hurt, find others to help. This division of people is primal as we are all one.
I beat my depression and now I am taking down this mental illness. Stand strong everyone, live life to the fullest. Even the weak can become the strong.

I know the diagnostic on the inside like a shrink, but disagree very much with the method needed. They`re very sensitive in social interactions, that`s what it`s all about. They need to socialize more, ALOT more, they don`t have hallucinations, people whisper to. The other part of the illness is the fact that the schizophrenic whispers, some of them and they don`t know about it, no you don`t need to move your tongue or lips to whisper, it`s also a permanent brain disorder that doesn`t give the afflicted individual any detail on how he or she is doing it to learn how to stop it, I wish very much that wouldn`t be the case because they don`t do it for attention and they will forever lack secrecy.

My grandson spent six months in hospital when he was sixteen. After many different medications, he is now on one that helps, but is not perfect. He lives with his dad, my son, and I am so thankful for that. It's not easy for the caregiver either. I don't ever want him to be on the street.

He is dong his best in coping in his everyday life. He is much better than a normal guy who has no mental issues but treat other people badly. I wish there are lots of people who understands them and taking part on helping them.

I was in college I was around 22, when it hit me.
All my life I was pretty shy, but this crippled me.
Emotionaly, mentally, it was draining. I dont know if it was schizophrenia, OCD, or IDD I never got checked out but for 8 months I lost it. These where my symptoms.
It started with intrusive violant thoughts, hurting myself, others, my family, the kids. Thoughts offensive to my very nature, sexual, involving, animals, kids.
My thoughts where, am I turning into a serial killer or pedophile, either way it depressed me.
Soon after the laughter started, I could here it.
Other days I couldnt tell if I was at home or in class.
Walking around school was horrible, it was like everyone knew every disguisting thought in my head, I would see something on t.v relating to what was going on with me, I would think theyres no hope, I would just cry.
The worst was when people would say stuff like, "dude you should shave you look like charlie manson", I would think, why would he say that and dwell on it for days.
After six and a half months, I had to leave school,
I would lock myself in my room, I thought I would loose control and hurt someone.
I couldnt sleep after some time, I would sleep a couple hours and wake up around 3 a.m and struggle to go back to sleep.
After awhile I thought I gotta tell mom.
I cried that night, I thought thats it, no more future im gonna end up in a home, locked up, cutting myself.
(This is part of story most people don't like to hear)
I prayed for the first time in my life that night,
And I slept like a baby, when I woke up, I felt a lot better, but not completely okay, after a while I felt good enough to go back to school, after a while I was my old self.
My body and my mind where my enemy, my prison.
It was like living with my thoughts and another persons,
    Someone I didnt like.
You don't have to believe it was devine healing,
    But I believe it was.
    God bless you.

Listen, to those hearing voices in their heads, like me, you are not crazy. Unless you suffered a horrible head injury
in the past, or you binge on meth or LSD regularly there's nothing wrong with you medically. Don't waste your money on
therapy and medicine. The medicines only make you calm, often sleepy. But they are not permanent cures. Then I did my
own research and found the solution. Like me, you belong to the unique 5 to 10 % of the worlds population that can hear
and/or see spirits and entities. Yes, they are real and communicate with us regularly. They speak on a certain wavelength
or channel that only we can hear/see. The spirits belong to three basic groups - angels & demons, dead people, and
      entities( dwarves and fairies).
Spirits talk to us telepathically -mind to mind- or by using mediums/people. They can distort speech to give it another
meaning. For example, a friend is talking pleasantly to you but instead you hear curses and mockery. That way you become
angry with him/her. Sometimes you think you can read other peoples thoughts when in fact the spirits are just creating an
illusion. This is where your paranoia / persecution complex sets in. The bad spirits want to make you paranoid, to be
isolated socially. They also want to destroy you physically- slash your wrist, shave your head etc. We usually start
hearing voices after a traumatic event- death in the family, sexual abuse, bullying, rejection etc. We can also pick up
troubled spirits when we visit cemeteries, hospitals, prison, asylum, haunted houses etc - places of suffering.
Like people, there are good and bad spirits. The bad spirits purpose is to isolate you socially and cause depression. My
experience (90%) were mostly bad. Like magicians, they can create all kinds of visual and/or auditory illusions - like
breaking glass, slamming doors, seeing shadows, pounding walls, crying babies, angels appearing, police sirens etc. They
can imitate your parents or friends voices. They can even speak through animals. In my experience, the good spirits only
intervene when things are life threatening or when you,re about to commit a deadly sin.
I have already dealt with this situation for the last 20+ years, 12 of them, medicine free. I am OK now. Most doctors know
only the physical/medical aspect of our condition. They ignore the spiritual realm. So they come up with all sorts of
theories about our shame, guilt or unconscious desires etc. That we are suffering from a chemical imbalance etc. They
can't cure you because they really don't know what is happening and they refuse to accept the idea of spirit activity.
Its like the blind leading another blind. But, don't go to mediums and channelers, they will only bilk you for money.
Go instead to a priest or pastor who will help. But beware, a few of the spirits will fight back and may even return
      later.

I was diagnosed bipolar back in 2010...finally had an answer to why I have been the way I have since elementary school. Had no clue that another doctor diagnosed me with schizophrenia a year or so ago. I mean, I know I've been showing symptoms for a while now, but the symptoms come and go. I'll have them for like a month and they go away for a while then come back. Mostly when I'm manic and I manage it without medication pretty well. I have to. I can't take the meds for the schizophrenic symptoms because they zonk me out...and with my job...I can't be zonked out. I have to be alert and protect citizens and police officers and I can't do that when I'm out of it...but I can do it even with the paranoia and delusions and hallucinations. People have no clue I'm crazy. lol. I live fairly normal in their eyes...but I'm alone 95% of the time.

I lost my schizophrenic son to addiction. Sadly. It took his passing for me to try to truly understand this disease. He hid a lot of things. It breaks my heart to know that not only was he hiding his addiction but his illness as well.
He was finally turning a corner. In his last year of life, he finally admitted he was sick and started medication. He was a different person. He let our family in. We shared good times. It was beautiful.
What we didn’t know was that he was addicted to heroin. He overdosed 2 months ago. It’s been heartbreaking. We’re shattered.

For another example, I'm scared I will have social anxiety and basic paranoia about everything forever, until I tell myself it has only appeared in teenage years, and once I become an adult, the fears will calm down in some sense.

I don't care about STIGMAS because everybody lives to some extent then dies.
The hard part is just how stupid and ignorant everyone is about everything under the sun.
NO SUCH THING AS UNCLEAN SPIRITS - NO NEED TO LOOK OVER THERE!
YET, billions around the globe worship dieties (spirits) since civilizations began:
      Yoga - Dieties
      Buddha- Dieties
      Rosicrucian and Freemasonry - Dieties
Voodoo and African religions - Dieties
      Aztec and Inca - Dieties
Eygtyptology ( Ancient and Modern) - Dieties
      Native American religions - Dieties
      Mexican religions- Dieties
      Shriners - Dieties
      Satanists - Dieties
      Baphometists- Dieties
Millions of Heavy Metal fans - Baphomet and Dieties
Millions of JayZ, Beyonce, Kanye fans - Baphomet, 666, and Dieties
Thousands of Hollywood Celebrities- Baphomet and Dieties
Trillions of dollars in sales of T-shirts, fashions, jewelry, books, websites, apps - Baphomet, Witchcraft, Satanic worship and Dieties.
SCHIZOPHRENICS IN HOSPITALS OWNED BY FREEMASONS SHRINERS WHO WORSHIP DIETIES -
RULE NUMBER 1: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DIETIES
SCHIZOPHRENICS IN ORGANIZED CHURCHES AND RELIGIONS SEEKING ANSWERS FROM "ORDAINED" MINISYERS PREACHERS-
RULE NUMBER 1: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SATAN, OR ANY OTHER SPIRIT THAT ENTERS THE FLESH TO TORMENT YOU OR ANY OTHER MAN.
      SCHIZOPHRENICS WITH FAMILY MEMBERS:
RULE NUMBER ONE: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS EVIL SPIRITS BECAUSE BOTH THE FREEMASONS WHO RUN EVERY HOSPITAL ON EARTH SAY SO,
AND THE FREEMASONS WHO RUN ALL OF THE SCHOOLS ON EARTH SAY SO,
AND THE SAME FREEMASONS WHO RUNS ALL OF ORGANIZED RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS ON EARTH SAYS SO!
So let's just pop a few toxins to fry your dopamine receptors to dull your senses, and not only will you loose the brain function to perform just a little better than a zombie,
but allowing Satanists to fry your own fckng brains also has the benefit of making the asshole voices of Satan sound just a little bit softer.
UNTIL HE LAUGHS AT YOU AS YOU JUMP IN FRONT OF A FCKNG BUS BECAUSE FRYING YOUR OWN BRAIN ONLY WEAKENS THE "NEURONS AND SIGNALS" THAT HE USES TO MAKE YOU HEAR AND SEE STUPID, PERVERSE, AND ASSININE ANNOYING BULLSHIT ALL DAY WILL NOT MAKE HIM GO ANY FCKNG WHERE.
**HE'S NOT SPEAKING AN AUDIBLE VOICE WITH VOCAL CHORDS BECAUSE HES NOT FLESH. HE'S A SPIRIT, SO HE TALKS, SENDS VISUALS, SMELLS, AND TOUCHING BY USING OUR SPIRITS (MINDS).

You are not crazy. Don’t let them put you in a box, don’t let them put their beliefs on you. You are just as credible and important as they are. You are a powerful, creative being. You have the power to live a life of happiness, love, purpose and fulfillment. But first you have to believe in yourself. You are very talented. Learn more about your talent/s. When you master your talents or special abilities and share those gifts with other people, adding value to someone else life, you can for once experience true happiness.
Leave the drugs and the alcohol alone. This will make you feel good at first but the hangover or the crash will always push you into a deeper depression. The drugs and alcohol will align you with lower vibrations. When you are in this lower vibration state you can experience the pain, torment and the fear of others, so much so that it intensify these feelings within yourself.
Exercise, eat healthy and always think positive. For every negative thought you have, for every negative image you see, tell yourself something positive.
Repeat this and repeat it with Believe:
    1. There is a purpose for my life.
    2. I am smart.
    3. I am intelligent
    4. I am loved
    5.I am talented
    6. I will add value to this world
    7. This pain is temporary
    8. I will overcome
    9. Once I over-come this I will help others who have experienced this same problem
    10. I love myself, I love other people, I love God and God loves me
Tell yourself that God loves you. Ask God to give you peace. If you chose not to believe in God then you will never be able to experience the love of God. We are not talking about religion. We are talking about getting to know the source of your life, the source of your power, We are talking about growing a relationship with your higher self. Leave the negative people who reinforce and increase your negative beliefs about yourself. Get around some positive people fast.
Do you realize who you are?! When you were in your moms wound. You were in a race. You didn’t have eyes but yet you had vision. Out of all the millions of sperm, your competitors. You were the winner. You were the one who was born. You had so much faith back then. You believed that there was a better life for you. And look at you now. You have arms and legs. You had a goal and went out there and you pursued it. If you think that you can beat out millions even billions of other potential people and you don’t have a purpose in this life? Then this means you forgotten who you are. Let me remind you who you are. You are loved, you are connected, you belong, you are powerful. You are not crazy. You have super powers. You had all these traits to make it in to this world and those traits are still in you right this second. Learn them, embrace them
I cut my arms when I was diagnosed with a mental disorder. I set my hospital bed on fire and laid there.I didn’t want to live but didn’t want to die. I was in a really bad place. But I overcame. I found my strength and you can too. Inbox me if you ever want to talk. I get my greatest pleasure in helping people and don’t mind sharing what I did to over come this issue. I love you. You are a winner! Yes I'm talking to YOU.

Dr Breggin actually was able to get every single patient he was supervising out of a state mental hospital during his education at Harvard, an unthinkable feat by most biological based psychiatrists (mostly patients admitted for psychosis).
There was also a famous residential treatment facility in San Jose, CA who treated only schizophrenics (without meds) and had the highest success ratings in the state for release rates. It was shut down because it had no funding from big pharma.

Yeah, it's hard to find on here... I'm fact even this one is no longer relevant. Look up her name now. You will see that she didn't ever actually have schizophrenia. It was Munchauzen by proxy, meaning her mother was parading her around for attention and giving her too many pills, all of which her body never needed. Her illness didnt take her childhood. Her mother did.

5 years ago my older brother had his first psychotic episode and was diagnosed with schizophrenia, at first he managed to recover, get back into work and even maintain a relationship following medication and some time in the hospital but this only lasted a short period of time, since then hes relapsed 3 times, last time being in April 2013 l. I am not going to describe my whole experience because I honestly can't, some things I would rather forget, there have been times where I have needed to talk to somebody but have struggled to find the right words and have always been led to believe that nobody would understand me, its a vicious cycle that's incredibly hard to describe to someone who hasn't lived through it first-hand. I'm 19 now and its my first year living out at university on my own, last week my brother was admitted to hospital after months of deterioration, when we speak its very draining and it hurts me because i know my old brother is still in there somewhere...

Raising awareness about mental health to get rid of the stigma attached is so important and I am so glad it is now on the rise.

I'm on 50mg Seroquel XR (time release), every night before bed. At present, I am eligible for disability, but I choose to turn it into a fighting chance for a normal life.
Hopefully, I don't develop tardive dyskinesia (and I'll take your good luck with any other good luck I can get!), and if the delusions and hallucinations don't ever return, I'll be happy. Better I die from long-term effects of quetiapine than my own hands.

Lovely video and stories - I've lived independently with schizophrenia for many years and I'm very happy and content now............ I've been happy several other times in my life and consider myself fortunate! I've had six or more careers with each lasting for 4- 6 years ............ Usually it is not just me who is dismissed but many in our department or area. I've had many ups and downs on my journey and acted out in suicide attempts by taking pills twice - this behaviour was triggered by losing complete mental functioning and seeing no way out!
I believe toxic relationships and comments which are unresolved contribute to a breakdown in conscious and subconscious functioning in ones brain - hence voices and hallucinations manifest because the brain software is confused.............. My solution to these positive symptoms is to reframe each past unresolved toxic situation into a positive and tweek ones thinking so these interferences go away! This process is difficult and takes time. Establishing healthy boundaries also helped me............. God bless - Malcolm

I had a client with Schizophrenia and anxiety who successfully lived alone and had her symptoms well managed by medication and learning coping skills in counseling. I know many counselors who have dealt with some form of mental illness personally and are able to function well enough to care for their selves and their clients. Mental illness isn't easy to deal with but many individuals with mental illness can live with decent quality of life.

I have three grown sons and my oldest was diagnosed & has been on SSDI since 2008 for paranoid, disorganized, and a mild form of catatonic schizophrenia..most of these years I’ve been his champion, though I thought such grief was reserved for the death of a child. I miss my son, his physical presence is here but it is that of a stranger and one that is always evolving: childlike, reticent, a liar like no other, but most of the time he engages with his hallucinations: laughing, joking, arguing, extreme anger, and what blew my mind most recently was when his wife (who doesn’t exist), died and I watched and comforted through this devastation which was gone by morning. My son was an energetic snowboarder, loved to skateboard, was a thoughtful charmer with a goofy disposition and had an easy way with the ladies. I’m my boys’ biggest fans, but in the last two years I’ve failed my severely mentally ill son, I’m full of resentment that my life has been only him, shortchanging my other two sons who need me too. The kicker is, for the last year, eldest has demanded quite frequently that I submit to a DNA test, part of a frightening delusion that I’m not his mother, my brain was dissected at some point and he needs to confine and observe me to figure out what is going on. He also befriended a very young kid and was doing meth. Needless to say, 911 has been here several times when I and my family have feared for my safety, and my son’s too. I am very soft with tough love, I thought my boy would get better over the years, but it’s the opposite instead. Am I too close to this to see any real danger. If this isn’t posted right, I’m sorry - I don’t do too much.

So many comments, before mine, about recovery. I have seen and experienced it. Yes there are many, too many, people diagnosed with schizophrenia who do not recover. The usual cause is their estrangement from a system and loved one's who have not yet been able to build bridges of mutual respect, lack of judgement and trust. And so they go it alone without support, treatment and services. With the right tools--it happens. We see it every day in the e-mails we receive and the people we work with.

I don't have full on schizophrenia, I have Schizoaffective Bipolar Disorder and I am different than many individuals with mental illness. I recognized early on that I had a mental condition and from then on, I was about 13 or 14 when it started, that I had to take care of it. Now, 10 years later, I have finally found a medication that works for me it is Invega Sustenna and I am really overjoyed by how much better I feel and am. My Dad who is basically a caretaker still he is happy for me. I don't get sad or anxious, my psychosis is gone. It's just a great medication. I have read that a lot of people can't take it and that upsets me because this is everything I've ever dreamed of. The negative thoughts I used to get and the voices I had, they stopped and I don't hear that constant drone of voices all the time and I don't constantly think about my friends leaving me. It completely takes that away and I am able to live. Right now, though, I am morbidly obese and am getting surgery to help me with it and that's my only problem currently. I hope everyone else with similar conditions or schizophrenia in general are able to get the help they need and will do well if they currently are not. :)

Here is a list of some 'Brilliant' people who were given the stigmatizing title 'Schizophrenic'.
    Richard Dadd ( 1817 - 1886 ) English Painter
    Paul Morphy ( 1837 - 1884 ) American Chess Player
    Lynette Roberts ( 1909 - 1995 ) Argentinian-Welsh Poet, Writer and Artist
    Malcolm Arnold ( 1921 - 2006 ) English Composer and Horn Player
John Nash ( b.1928 ) American Mathematician and 1994 Nobel Prize Winner
    Brian Wilson ( b.1942 ) American Singer / Songwriter / Musician
    Syd Barrett ( 1946 - 2006 ) English Singer / Songwriter / Musician and Artist
    David Bowie ( 1947 - 2016 ) English Singer /Songwriter / Musician, Actor and Composer.
I think there is a large problem when one of the very, very few people with the illness does something dangerous. As a large amount of people in the general public tend to think it applies to everyone with the stigmatizing title 'Schizophrenia'

Long term psychodynamic therapy can help. A relationship, rooted in trust, compassion and understanding heals even deepest wounds. That's what people lack these days within their families and themselves. It's easy to call a patient's symptoms irrational, disconnect from them emotionally and blame it on the chemistry. Delusions and hallucinations are a distorted language and it has its own logic. If we'd bother to look at it this way we'd be able to understand a patient's tragedy which created the illness, treat it with respect and make a difference, hopefully. Of course therapy is expensive and takes years to get results, also it's painful and requires deep involvement from both parts. So mainstream psychiatry just focuses on quick pharmaceutical solutions. The goal is the absence of symptoms and unfortunately in many cases it also means the absence of vitality.. No surprise it makes some people go back to medieval beliefs about possession by demons.. Sorry for my imperfect English

It's bad when people "make fun of them" and tease them in a way that hurts their feelings in order to make them angry as a method of manipulating them. People who do that are so dumb because the person performing the action is aware that it's the same as physically harming that person then laughing about it. People who do that have convinced themselves that a person that deals with this psychological attribute is some sort of monster. The fact is that anyone that would attempt to bring out anger and frustration in someone else they don't understand is the only person acting like a monster themselves. It's abusive behavior to mentally taunt someone with a psychological disability. The person with a disability has a chemical imbalance and some people with different types of mental disabilities have a physical difference in their brain pattern. It is really nothing to be afraid of realizing someone is different in some way should spark fascination to an extent. Leaving us to ask what is different about you to better understand that person and what they are going through. Understanding how they perceive life experiences differently. Having Aspergers myself with PTSD, and ADD I notice that other people don't understand the way I perceive life events. Although sharing that with them helps them to better understand the differences in our brain patterns. It's like teaching them to learn how to see the world with an open mind instead of "everybody is the same and If a person does this or that I understand". That is not true in all cases sometimes you might be dealing with a person with a disability and if you don't recognize that disability then it can complicate the situation. Not everything is going to be easy until you learn of that persons disability then it becomes easier with understanding.
