Criminally underrated band, and this performance is proof. They were much more than a couple of music videos and a terrible nightclub tragedy. This band had talent top to bottom, and it is a damn shame that they didn't get the credit they deserved. That cover of "Since I've Been Loving You" was 10/10 and "Rock Me" (which should be considered one of the great rock songs of all time) at the end was flawless...
I totally agree with you. I think at least part of it was they weren't considered typical "pretty boys" like guys like Jon Bon Jovi, etc which was a big part of the image back then; probably looks even more than talent. Mark Kendall was up there on par with Jake E. Lee, Warren DeMartini,, George Lynch, etc. in my opinion.
Their MTV Unplugged (1990) cover of Babe I'm Gonna Leave You was incredible too. ruclips.net/video/uAerqUwADe8/видео.html I'm sure if you're a fan, you know they put out a whole album of Zeppelin covers.
@bth9318 Mark definitely had a great sound that was different than any of those. If you listen to Once Bitten on a decent sound system, his sound is amazing. Of course, the album was mixed insanely well too.

Somehow allot of people never got into them, I used to play Rock Me every morning for my Get Up outta bed and go to work song... Maybe 7 or ,8 years. Psycho City was a great album.
Wow! Now if that video didn’t bring back memories of the 80’s … nothing will!! That was awesome seeing the fans run in to find the best spots up front or best seats .. (not very many ppl sat down at a concert back then) …usually the floors were packed first! Always sold out shows in Seattle! Love these guys!~ this is how it was! Love that song -“Save All Your Love”-I use to listen to this tape all the way from Sea-Tac to Sequim when my baby boy (now grown up) would drive at night after I got off work to go to where I lived P/T on my 3 off days with his dad & uncle - listening to this tape, Great White, listened to WhiteSnake, Stevie Nicks, Heart, Bon Jovi, Rush, Triumph, Aldo Nova, you name it.. but I think I listened to this tape the most back then. I was 19 & a teen mama, worked full time, went to concerts when I could. Many concerts before motherhood, I also loved Kool & the Gang, Blue Oyster Cult, The BeeGees. I loved all music back then. I’m 57 now… still jamming out bc music keeps ya young!! :) RIP to Jack.. Going to see Foreigner, another personal favorite at the fairgrounds.. it’s their Farewell Tour. 😊 Going with my Rocker bestie since 5th grade! Hair is bleached blonde and we are ready! 😅 11th row from stage ~ -Won’t be a song we won’t know.. that’s the beauty of it! Triumph was another personal favorite. Saw Sammy Hagar recently at an employee work party. He jammed like no tomorrow! That was a couple years ago. Saw Sugar Ray this year. Didn’t know many songs of theirs tho.. I’d give my left foot to see Great White Perform again & relive a concert like this! Rock On People! Oh yeah- another one is Dire Straits. Gotta see them if ya can. I couldn’t even list all my favs. I loved them all! ❤
Interview at a pinball hall, love it. Big fan of this 80's band for sure. Many top hits. "Once Bitten"..awesome. This show is awesome too, Kendall rips. You can bang your head to Great White, even the slower hits like "Is there anybody there"!
Guns n Roses Initially were supposed to be the opening act at the Ritz and Great White were to headline that night. Both bands were managed by “Alan Nevins”. Mr. Nevins made a deal with MTV to Televise the headlining act which was supposed to be “Great White”. At that time MTV was playing GnR’s music video “Welcome to the Jungle” in heavy rotation and Guns N’ Roses we’re heading up the billboard charts fast. At the last minute before the show Alan Nevins talked to “Great White” and told them to open the show and that Guns N’ Roses were headlining. A quote form Alan Nevins to Great White was “do you guys really want to follow Guns N’ Roses!!
I was at this show... That indeed my be true, but I also know after being backstage about 20 minutes before the start of the show, 2 members of GNR were, well let's say "taking a nap"... So the DJ and the manager of the bar were all pissed about something, and I could hear them saying that these 2 guys could not be stirred in the dressing rooms... Great white went on stage and rocked. GNR were 45 mins late getting to the stage, and they were not at their best... peace...jlg

W.t.f. g&r were not that great.and Allen was not so smart. G.w. could blow g.r.any old time .just listen. Never could stand g.r. they were always drunk.
The manager’s name is Alan Niven. This is the night that GnR basically took over MTV. It was a combo of this show and the release of Sweet Child O’ Mine as a single. Both these things catapulted them to super stardom.
This band had the SOUND!!! Smooth and clean on top with all that crunch & low end underneath, Great White blew away all of that other garbage 80s production with the bass guitar buried in the mix!!!🤘

11th row from stage ~
-Won’t be a song we won’t know.. that’s the beauty of it!
immense great white
The sandwich shoving at 5:10 is pretty impressive; bravo Audie!
Rip my brother Jack, miss partying with you, luv that Jack Daniels & chasing women 84,89. ROCK ON
SERIOUSLY WISH THIS RECORDING WAS LOUDER !!!
My PC system just won't give me the Volume - THEY DESERVE !!!
Jack Russell was only 28 here. Extraordinary voice.
I saw GW about 6 or 7 times through the 80s and 90s and they always sound amazing 💀🤘
'saw'
Very under-rated
Great vocals
Interview at a pinball hall, love it. Big fan of this 80's band for sure. Many top hits. "Once Bitten"..awesome. This show is awesome too, Kendall rips. You can bang your head to Great White, even the slower hits like "Is there anybody there"!
This band changed my whole life
Guns n Roses Initially were supposed to be the opening act at the Ritz and Great White were to headline that night.
Very cool, I believe it! And no, they couldn’t have followed GnR
GNR were 45 mins late getting to the stage, and they were not at their best... peace...jlg
@@jakelaguna2278 you know you’re probably right. There’s always two stories. What really happened and then the press release version of what happened...
W.t.f. g&r were not that great.and Allen was not so smart. G.w. could blow g.r.any old time .just listen. Never could stand g.r. they were always drunk.
The manager’s name is Alan Niven. This is the night that GnR basically took over MTV. It was a combo of this show and the release of Sweet Child O’ Mine as a single. Both these things catapulted them to super stardom.
Wow so powerful awesome band!
Love this band..Good sound and bad ass guys giving their BEST when It comes to rock the crowd..
The surely still do !!
Got to spend time with these guys when I've photographed a few shows recently, super great guys and a blast to be around.
This band had the SOUND!!! Smooth and clean on top with all that crunch & low end underneath, Great White blew away all of that other garbage 80s production with the bass guitar buried in the mix!!!🤘
Great white, the soundtrack of my youth! RIP Jack!
@1:43, there's a "Flammable-Keep Fire Away" sign behind Mark Kendall. Isn't it ironic, don't cha think?
This is pure rock they are awesome
Mark and Jack should never have been separated.
I'm a long time Zeppelin fan and I just remembered this is the best version of Since I've Been Loving you ever.
Michael Lardie, Rock ‘n’ roll Swiss Army knife. 🤟🏻
Jack will be mised. All over. One in a million!!!
No Way ! Aussie Rock ! Face the day ! Angels ! Lovit ! X
Never knew his name..But knew Great White by way of mtv..once bitten twice shy..RIP JR🙏
Easily one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time
