Ryu's thrust kick looks way cooler in this game than in SFV. Just the animation of him stepping in and shifting all his body weight into the kick looks really impactful.

@@SpiraResident72017 I believe this is using the cut widescreen mode that's in the game still. You can still activate it with external cheats. That's probably why it doesn't look so stretched out.

@@SpiraResident72017 Since nobody responded, I will. The difference is that polygons still have the additional information in the geometry. Pixel art isn't more detailed art shown at a lower resolution, it was made in that resolution in the first place. There's no additional information to work with.The best you can do is smoothing algorithms but that just makes everything look smudgy and gross.

2 things: one, i got that exact character lineup the other day (og xbox edition). Either I got lucky or there's a premade list of lineups.
Also, I average maybe 1.5 mil, so seeing you hit that before the first bonus game is freaking baller.
3rd Strike has a predetermined seed of which characters you'll fight in arcade mode. You can reset or reload the games many times to get the best one possible. When I go for score runs, I do that until I start with Sean.

Am I the only one that think this is the best street fighter game ever made? The system, the animation, the music, all is brilliant.
For me, it is. Like you said, the animations, the music. Hell, it's still to this date the most technical street fighter out there.

De todas formas tiene bastantes problemas de balance, hoy en día es un muy buen juego pero en su día fue un completo fracaso en ventas, al punto de que algunos ni sabían que Alex era el protagonista.

Obviously the isn't playing it.
Fusion well actually he technically is playing it, as he is sending inputs to the emulator, but he’s playing it at a way slower pace(often frame by frame) allowing them to be able to do the things you see on screen
Fusion and you’re right about that, But that wasn’t my point, I was saying that it wasn’t an emulator doing the work for him as for that to work he’d have to program code and inputs for the emulator to use and that itself can bring troubles
Holy crap, this is amazing. What did you learn about Gill's AI during the making of this TAS? Anything useful for RTA players? Because this guy is a major pain in the ass...
@ThatGuyWithGlasses If you stand under him, you can Shoryu at the right time and cancel it (he only regains partial health). Sean's DP won't hit it, so I just spam Tornado until it connects (a few frames of health isn't an issue). Other characters have different moves that'll hit-the issue is hitting him at the right time (he has a few invinc frames, and if your attack takes too long to recover, it'll whiff and he'll regain a lot of health). I'm not sure when exactly to hit him, but definitely, don't let him finish saying "Resurrection", hit him before (I think maybe halfway through him saying it.)

I'm friend's with this "TAS" dude's uncle, who owns the entire concepts of video games. He told me he was just another game demo that got out of hand and somehow gained sentience, being able to actually play the games in full, and even games without demos weren't offlimits. And, you know, he was actually good at them.
I can't understand how people come to dislike this kind of cool stuff...if you ain't a fighting game fan why bother watching? Or maybe the dislikes are TAS themselves
I'm guessing because people get duped into thinking they are actually watching a person play legitimatly to realise its just another TAS. Would be nice if it was mentioned in the title or at least in the description.

thanks a lot. I was waiting for him too, I am not pretty sure what happened, the game was set on hard 8 or hardest so he shouldve showed up. I think the game failed or something like this, either way even so he didn't appear I tried to make the most of ryu's combos.

Or is the whole point of "Shinku Hadouken" as a SF3 Super Art sacrificing some damage output for combo-extension?
No, in 3rd Strike there exists a mechanic to reduce damage after a certain number of hits, known as damage scaling, therefore rewarding shorter combos with stronger attack strengths rather than longer combos with weaker attack strengths.
If you pay close attention the TAS'er likes to pad his combos with lots of jabs and shorts.
I guess so. Oh yeah, I know what damage scaling is, I was wondering why it's so weak for a two-stock Super Art, even outside of combos.
