Everything about this game is perfect: the animation, the risk/reward Parry system, the music, the pure ART that is the stage backdrops, the announcer...modern fighting games (as much as I still enjoy them) can't hope to touch the artistry of the likes of Third Strike (and 90s 2D fighters in general). I love my PS2 copy of this game with the remixed OST.

The way difficulty works in most fighting games is that they are turned off for the most part. And the further you get or the higher the base difficulty the less time the ai is deactivated. The exception is for bosses or special fights is when they have their own set of rules or in most super bosses cases is they read your input and do a move that counters it, making them strong and definitely unfair. But of course you can cheese it by abusing the ai to do certain moves that let you punish them
