The power dial on this camera makes no sense.
Set to "ON" when the grip is raised.
Set to "T" when the grip is folded.
When checking the battery, set it to "BAT" and press the button.
However, when the power is turned on, the LED shines, so the battery check is meaningless.
I don't understand why this camera has such a mechanism.
Other than that, it's a very good camera!

Mine shit the bed, and here you go just recently posting this encyclopedic exhibition. Thank you so much, I think I can fix the spring between the trigger and the shutter that must have slipped!? I'll find out tonight!

Amazing tear-down and mods! Two questions for you! With regard to focus: Do you know on the adjustable viewfinder, of the 15 clicks, is there a "unity" setting for someone with "perfect" vision? I figured at 7 clicks was middle? 2nd question, when manually setting exposure (knowing the camera baseline is Tungsten 40/160 ASA), there appears to be no change in aperture through the viewfinder, but I believe this is to do with how the reflex viewfinder is set up. Thoughts, and thanks again for your excellent and instructive videos!
I can wait next camera repair. Can you servise Canon Scoopic? Lubricate or modify film gate to super 16.
