It’s a good thing you were here on a weekend. Riding in DC is incredibly unsafe. Cagers around here are completely oblivious to the rules of the road.

Less than two weeks ago, I was driving on the streets of Washington. Not biking! Having lived in the DC area since 1976 (Remember that year), I have never been up to the Lincoln Memorial. Now I can finally say that I was up the stairs! I actually worked two blocks from the Nation's Capitol. I worked at the Voice of America.

How cool to be pedaling with Dutch!! I normally only see him in product videos! LOL Great Falls looks like the bomb! Id love to catch it when there are a lot of Whitewater boaters struttin their stuff!! This trail is one of my big ambitions after I get a few shorter runs under my belt. You can travel a lot lighter without the trailer. I hope you guys are going to hammock camp at some point?? Jeff

Nice! I just did DC to Pittsburgh (in late October). It was a long ride, but very pretty. The Amtrak station in Pittsburgh is nowhere near as nice as the one in DC, and I was impressed how easy it was to get around in downtown DC on a bicycle. I definitely recommend riding the GAP at some point, as it is also a very neat trail.

I wanted to but the guy that road with me has already done that and hasn’t done the C & O so we wind up deciding to just do this and I’ll go do the gap in the spring hopefully 🤞

How much weight on average are you hauling with your rigs and trailer for your rides? I plan on using a similar setup.

      30 to 40Ib if I take a www.ecoflow.com power to charge my extra battery it’s 55Ib
