What's really sad is that all these people commenting about going from a iphone to a mid range and not switching to a galaxy s23 ultra. But even though it's a mid range android, he didn't have a lot of bad to say about it. The point is that even a mid range android can compete in a lot of areas with all iphones. Oh and by the way I'm not a Apple hater, I actually use both platforms.
I agree. Too many people here didn’t get the idea behind this video. Victor obviously wanted to compare a mid range A54 to a top of the line iPhone to show what Android value brings. Honestly, not enough content creators are doing this in their videos. I like seeing how much you get out of budget to midrange phones versus flagships because I can’t afford expensive phones. Even if I could, I’d never spend $800-$2000 on a phone because that’s just ridiculous.

I definitely understand how but I must disagree for myself specifically. I am 27 and since age 18 I have constantly switched. Ill have an android. Then in a couple years when its time for a new phone I get an iphone. Rinse and repeat. Every 2-4 years I switch to the opposite to see how the other side is living. I really like both and appreciate them in their own ways. I can say the only thing that keeps me returning to iphone is garageband. That is it. I literally do NOT care about anything else specific to apple than that
I noticed that the battery drops a lot using gaming apps. But, despite of that, there's nothing negative to say about my fantastic A54. It's a fantastic and useful phone, cause I use it as an agenda, to read documents, to do researches, to take pics or videos... and a lot more. After the last update it's even better. Don't touch my A54 😂😂😂
I think more tech RUclipsrs should switch from expensive flagship phones to these excellent budget and mid range phones. Because these $200-500 phones are getting so good that it is difficult to justify spending double or triple the money on phones simply for status and bragging rights. The a54 is a great example of a mid range phone that does literally everything a flagship can do at half the cost. It isn't a perfect device but even expensive flagships have their issues.
I have an a54 and i heard that samsung used to have one more line (A70s) but they scrapped it after a few years. As a result, the following phone (aka the A50s) inherited some of the quality of the A70, making it almost as good as a flagship rn

Now as a pro user my experience so far: The battery life on A54 is far better than s23ultra atleast 2 hours more screen on time. It has all the same features minus camera, so again camera is something that is super good on s23u, but here with A54 its not bad either, you'll not feel any difference outdoors during day time(but who uses camera anyway except of occasions like wedding or birthdays) for daily pics and tourism purpose the camera is decent enough. Last not least price s23ultra i bought here in denmark for 10.000dkk(1440 usd) A54 i bought in winter sales for 1800dkk(260 usd) 😂 go figure
I can understand the content of this video and it is a good one. Should you have compared it to a Samsung flagship? I mean yeah it makes total sense to have done that. Because having a top tier Apple product and switching to a mid-range Android device is eh... BUT this comparison can fill in the gap for some people who wants an idea and feeling of the "what if's". If you install Good Lock you can also change the icons to any icon pack you have. There's also a double tap to wake the screen feature and single tap on the home screen to turn off the display
I'm typing this comment on an a54,I love it..I also use a brand new j7 prime too.. both battery lives are great.. even though the j7 has a 3300mah battery n the a54 has 5000 its the same life battery..😅😅

I am a mid range cell phone user and the A54 5G IS going to be my next phone replacing my A32 and giving my granddaughter my A32. I don't use my phone as a computer nor do i play game`s on it and my phone is not in my hand 24/7. I just need a communication device and recently took on data to help me in my travels. Not everyone need`s a $1,200 phone and mid range meets my need`s and i will move to the A54 5G and i recommend the Samsung Galaxy A series phone along with many other users who are very happy with the price and performance.
Midrange phones have come along way. I personally cannot go from using flagship cameras and chipsets to midrange alternatives. Though it is really nice that these options do exist.
Fair and detailed review; just what I want. You can use the s21fe which comes with Snapdragon 888 and that phone offers real good cameras than this A54. The problem is with the Exynos processor.
Only compare price to price phones...and get Snapdragon SOC for more stability. The others, although are improving and are in flagship phones like the Exynos SOC, can be good but the dip in performance can be noticeable.
My Motorola got smashed real bad a couple of days ago, I think I might just get something new if the repair is too expensive. The thing is that I recently quit my job (my boss was a piece of poop) and this phone is within my current budget. Pro tip, a used flagship will almost always perform better than a new budget phone will. I currently use a s20 and it smokes the a54 in performance by a significant margin. Look for a device from 2020-2022 and you'll find some amazing deals on phones that will still last for quite a while.
Im watching this on my Samsung Galaxy a54 5g. I got mine brand new for $60 by switching carriers. I went from the base model s23. This a54 is amazing. I play Call Of Duty Mobile on it. At first it stuttered a lot it would overheat like crazy. But after it got done learning my habits and all it does great now. The dual speakers sound kind of weird. The only thing that i wish they would have done differently with this device is made the frame out of aluminum rather than plastic. Otherwise I do not have any complaints. With the a54 make sure that you keep the ram cleaned out and restart it at least once a day if you game on it. My s23 wasnt good at all, the speakers were junk and it stuttered more than the a54 with gaming, and the ram stayed completely full. Also i wish Samsung would get rid of all their bloatware
And with this phone, you need to make sure you turn off nearby bdevice scanning Bluetooth scanning turn off Wi-Fi scanning. Turn on wi fi scan throttle which will decrease battery drain and improve network performance and use a dark mode.
So I have an iPhone 15 plus, a Samsung a54 and, a pixel 6a. The difference for me is both my under 500 dollar phones are better to me in every way but battery life. The difference for me with my phones is that both my mid rangers are android and cost well under the price my iPhone 15 plus did and just destroy it.
I am not into gaming. I had the 15 pro max, then changed to 15 but felt bored and I am on my 2nd day on a54. Aside from the fingerprint sensor, maybe because of the tempered glass, everything's good so far.
A 54 blew me away how fast and zippy The performance was how beautiful the display was. The expandable storage, the perfect screensighs. The beautiful gorilla glass front and back the IP67 rating. I mean, the features that you get in this phone are incredible for its price. It's rare to find a ingress protection rating in a mid ranger. pixel has it but The a fifty four is a much better built phone It's a bit on the heavier side, a little bit over 200 g. You put a nice big fit case on this and this is not a phone for small handed people who don't like have you phones is a bit on the thicker side as well. You lose out on a sleekness of a flagship, not the performance. The thirteen eighty chip is absolutely phenomenal
i have 2 phones Apple 15 PRO and Samsung S22. I use S22 most of the time for games, brows, youtube. while Apple just for call and text. it just so happens that I care a lot about Apple not to be drained, get scratch, fall. and I love apple's camera.

I'm really debating this or the Moto G Stylus 5g 2023 6gb ram/256gb version, I can get both really cheap on my carrier, about ~$170 or so... It's the 6gb ram version of the A54 5g as well. I love the screen and camera quality I've seen so far from the A54 5G, however many online seem to REALLY rag on the Exynos processor calling it utter crap unusable garbage...surely it's not THAT bad is it? The Moto G Stylus 5g 2023 has a snapdragon 6 gen 1 cpu. The a54 has quite a bit longer support cycle but honestly both are so cheap I'll just get something else decent enough in a couple years anyway. Some reviews seem to kinda rag on the Moto G's camera quality but I could possibly find a GCAM port for it somewhere online since it has a snapdragon cpu... some say the A54's performance has actually gotten better over time with updates too?

A54 all the way, far better specs and much better battery life. The A54 doesn’t even feel like a mid range phone it’s actually great. The A34 is not wow quite disappointing actually
Samsung does a lot of image processing after having taken the picture. That's why the live camera tends to look worse. Doing all the processing in real time would take too much computing power and also drain the battery real quick.
Did you do a full drain and recharge cycle on it? It could be a battery estimate calibration issue, rather than actual capacity decrease? This is apparently the case with some pixel 7a phones too, people complain about bad battery, but then it turns if they run it down it will stay on for 10+ hours on that last 1%
I am curious why do the people I see who review Samsung phones use Google Messages instead of Samsung Messages? I prefer the Samsung version but is there anything to the Google one that makes it better.

A54 has a lot of good features that are more recent. the 11 is not all that good. the 11 pro is not too bad but the regular iPhone 11 compared to the A54 5G is a bigger difference. I would recommend the A54 because of its bigger brighter display, 120hz refresh rate, better processor and triple camera setup that performs well. If you got an iPhone 11 nowadays it is very unlikely that you get a brand new one, so you'll get a used one and either the battery is still okay or you'll have to get it replaced (but it won't be brand new). The A54 is still basically new, you'll find it on sale brand new for the holidays and you'll have new components in the whole phone. Just a better value overall. Hopefully that helps you make your decision :)

The s pen gestures and utilization of camera from a distance , multi tasking, 10 x zoom , samsung dex and flow , Nintendo emulators of super smash bros ans Mario oddyseey, astrophotography of constellations, better photo editing, customization of theme and keyboard, copy and paste clipboard, better AI capabilities, things like micro sd card, music ring tone customization, how you can download anything from anywhere at anytime , foldable innovation etc . Thats why Samsung , Huawei, Xiaomi and Google Pixel 8 pro are superior to the iPhone. The iPhone is based on simplicity which is good for infants and the elderly but for me IOS is too boring and ill never find an e sim by force to go back to it.

I'm also a apple fan boy and I tried out the a54 and the battery drained so fast and I'm not a heavy user. I know have thr iphone 15 pro and my 2nd device is a samsung s20 5g I picked up and I love it over my iPhone at times. The apple echo system is a lot more simple

I mean, the features that you get in this phone are incredible for its price. It's rare to find a ingress protection rating in a mid ranger. pixel has it but The a fifty four is a much better built phone It's a bit on the heavier side, a little bit over 200 g. You put a nice big fit case on this and this is not a phone for small handed people who don't like have you phones is a bit on the thicker side as well. You lose out on a sleekness of a flagship, not the performance. The thirteen eighty chip is absolutely phenomenal
The battery life is actually great on this phone on Android 14. Just do a factory reset after you upgrade to Android 14 though.

I'm really debating this or the Moto G Stylus 5g 2023 6gb ram/256gb version, I can get both really cheap on my carrier, about ~$170 or so... It's the 6gb ram version of the A54 5g as well. I love the screen and camera quality I've seen so far from the A54 5G, however many online seem to REALLY rag on the Exynos processor calling it utter crap unusable garbage...surely it's not THAT bad is it? The Moto G Stylus 5g 2023 has a snapdragon 6 gen 1 cpu. The a54 has quite a bit longer support cycle but honestly both are so cheap I'll just get something else decent enough in a couple years anyway. Some reviews seem to kinda rag on the Moto G's camera quality but I could possibly find a GCAM port for it somewhere online since it has a snapdragon cpu... some say the A54's performance has actually gotten better over time with updates too?
I got the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the Samsung 54 5g and it somethings that the Samsung does that iPhone can’t that makes me go to it .i feel iPhones are overrated and I’ve always used iPhone since the 4 .the 54 might be mid range but it does the job just as good as iPhone

I downgraded from s23ultra to A54 because A:it was too heavy B: way too big.
Now as a pro user my experience so far:
The battery life on A54 is far better than s23ultra atleast 2 hours more screen on time.
It has all the same features minus camera, so again camera is something that is super good on s23u, but here with A54 its not bad either, you'll not feel any difference outdoors during day time(but who uses camera anyway except of occasions like wedding or birthdays) for daily pics and tourism purpose the camera is decent enough.
Last not least price s23ultra i bought here in denmark for 10.000dkk(1440 usd)
A54 i bought in winter sales for 1800dkk(260 usd) 😂 go figure

A54 all the way, far better specs and much better battery life. The A54 doesn’t even feel like a mid range phone it’s actually great. The A34 is not wow quite disappointing actually

Samsung does a lot of image processing after having taken the picture. That's why the live camera tends to look worse. Doing all the processing in real time would take too much computing power and also drain the battery real quick.

Did you do a full drain and recharge cycle on it? It could be a battery estimate calibration issue, rather than actual capacity decrease? This is apparently the case with some pixel 7a phones too, people complain about bad battery, but then it turns if they run it down it will stay on for 10+ hours on that last 1%
How would you say the A54 does on phone calls compared to your iPhone? Both speakerphone and to the ear calls too.
It actually is pretty good I would say. Holds up well. The speakers deliver and dont feel like their lacking

A54 has a lot of good features that are more recent. the 11 is not all that good. the 11 pro is not too bad but the regular iPhone 11 compared to the A54 5G is a bigger difference.
I would recommend the A54 because of its bigger brighter display, 120hz refresh rate, better processor and triple camera setup that performs well. If you got an iPhone 11 nowadays it is very unlikely that you get a brand new one, so you'll get a used one and either the battery is still okay or you'll have to get it replaced (but it won't be brand new).
The A54 is still basically new, you'll find it on sale brand new for the holidays and you'll have new components in the whole phone. Just a better value overall.

Too many limitations with the iphone . I started with the iphone Years ago . I first transitioned with the samsung s10 plus and then now my s23 Ultra and next year z fold 6. The s pen gestures and utilization of camera from a distance , multi tasking, 10 x zoom , samsung dex and flow , Nintendo emulators of super smash bros ans Mario oddyseey, astrophotography of constellations, better photo editing, customization of theme and keyboard, copy and paste clipboard, better AI capabilities, things like micro sd card, music ring tone customization, how you can download anything from anywhere at anytime , foldable innovation etc . Thats why Samsung , Huawei, Xiaomi and Google Pixel 8 pro are superior to the iPhone. The iPhone is based on simplicity which is good for infants and the elderly but for me IOS is too boring and ill never find an e sim by force to go back to it.

I'm also a apple fan boy and I tried out the a54 and the battery drained so fast and I'm not a heavy user. I know have thr iphone 15 pro and my 2nd device is a samsung s20 5g I picked up and I love it over my iPhone at times. The apple echo system is a lot more simple
