- Hello everyone, and welcome to the next installment of Lore and Order, where I unpack game lore and stories from games. In this one, we look at Bethsada's 2008 Action RPG, Fallout 3. This is the first video in a series of Fallout Videos, where we'll be looking at the stories from all the games from Fallout 3 onwards.

Fallout 3 has one of the most haunting atmospheres. I love playing it at night or around 3 AM just to get into the feeling of the Metro or the Dark wasteland. Such a classic.

4 gameplay makes the others seem unbearable.

I might be mistaken but I'm pretty sure they weren't capturing the death claws but engineering them. What you are seeing is the breeding program of super soldiers. What you see in the wild are the natural form of those escaped experiments. If you read into death claw lore they were being made to battle communist...

Ahhhh Fallout 3, the game I watched my roommate punch people to death whenever he wasn’t sneaking grenades into their pockets.
Well, now we have to have New Vegas! I know you’ll make a cracking video out of that one. It’s so great to see how much your channel has grown and developed. I remember not that long ago really, thinking how criminally underrated the Lore and Order videos were. Am genuinely super happy for you. I hope you’re doing well all round and taking the time to enjoy it.

@@Lycan_of_1941 yea I think ages ago I rented the 2nd one for a week but it was nothing to write home about. The way the 1st one was played. A fast paced stealth based game. It was intense and literally despite anyone admission or non admission has only been touched by the last of us 1. Cause TLOU 2 movement was way to slow
All i know is, i hope the fallout 4 "you are a synth" theroies go the way of the dodo like Fallout 3 "you are in a vault 101 simulator to test your Morality"

21:02 I love that all the commonwealth territories have unique names (mainly geographical) except Texas. It’s still just Texas.
They would probably shoot you for even suggesting /to/ change the name.

That Dunwich building and it's whole connection to the Point Lookout DLC thing, it's one of my favorite things ever put into a video game.

Some references to characters in Fallout 3 in Fallout 4 years later. Dr Madison Li, and Macready.
Fallout 3 was my entry point in the franchise, and probably the first PC game I ever pirated. I genuinely had no concept of the words "open world," "sandbox," and "RPG" used together; and in fact, only understood the latter through the lens of JRPGs. I never finished it for one reason or another, but I always loved the post-apocalyptic aesthetic. I was always struck by the design of the power armor on the cover, but it wasn't until FO4 turned them into wearable tanks that I really got into it.
Playing it on my steam deck with mods! So fun great memories and great game 💯💯

Fallout 3 really nails the atmosphere, but! it is a product of its time.
Its got the 2007 brown colour pallet through and through.
Now that harry covers the story of 3 he had to cover the story of nv and 4 aswell

I do like the Bethesda games quite a lot, but I do feel 3 had the best atmosphere. Felt so grim and gritty, with dark comedic relief. Certainly enjoyed that a lot more than the Looney Toons atmosphere of the TV show (and Fallout 4 to a lesser extent)

I’d rather prefer a long one like The Gears of war series but maybe after every fallout is done have all of them in one as a “complete series”
Yeah I thought about that, but the main quests from each game aren't really connected. The universe is the only thing that's connected really.
