Love the fact that BG hit the floor first and her attitude set the pace for the other competitors. She had fun and supported the others. This is the spirit of winning and I support it❤🙏!!!
They could fix the whole missing and winning thing with a simple rule change. Put 5 balls there instead of 3 and if they can't get one in then their run stops there. Supposing everyone cannot complete the task, the one who made it furthest wins. If it's a tie, time shouldn't come into it. They should have a playoff. Time should only play a part when they finish EVERYTHING.
Yeah this would be better because it would show how your skills impact the game positively. Missing quick does nothing to show off any real basketball skill.

Caitlin is very popular as you can tell from the voting. Those same people will not vote chennady after seeing what she did. It’s a pity for her because I actually agree that she probably would have won.

There's an automatic time deduction for misses. You lose time because you have to take the shot again.

The main goal of this is to make the run as fast as you can while doing those tasks regardless if you missed those shots and beat the clock.

Skills is actually meant for anything but scoring. Scoring would be 3 point contest and dunk contest (they can't dunk). 2 pointers could be seen as skill in my opinion.

Understandable comments people, but this is the WNBA. Comparisons to the NBA are ridiculously. All due respect to the ladies. Even with their added day time soap drama (that only women bring) I've 100% enjoyed checking out their games for once. Most of this is due to CC and the rookie class. Regardless, I've enjoyed watching.

They need to add a dunk contest as well
Most WNBA players cannot dunk a ball the only one I know that can dunk is Brittney Griner maybe there are other players that are 6'7" or higher that might be able to but looks like they didn't have enough players to make it part of the competition.
You need at least 4-5 players in order to make it competitive so maybe that's why they don't have a dunk contest. Just checked only 2 players can dunk the ball currently in the WNBA they are Jonquel Jones and Brittney Griner.

So basically no skills, fastest to make a shot and get to next spot and finish with a layup. The passing drills are a joke, any junior high shotty player could make 3 bounce passes and 2 chest passes through the rings the size of Saturn

How do you not get penalized for not making 0/3 shots ??? There should at least be a one second penalty for every section of the course you fail to make a shot. Is this the WNBA or middle school?
Isn't the penality that when you miss, you have to takes more shots. That adds more time on the clock ….

She won a championship at South Carolina with Aja Wilson, Rookie of the year in the WNBA, a gold medal in 3X3 last Olympics, and is participating in the all star game. These competitions are for fun, for the ladies to compete, bond, and promote the W. Clearly passing, timing, and shooting are different in game situations. Her performance in the prelim was a lot better. She also won the 3 point shooting contest. Let them have fun.

You could intentionally airmail every shot in rapid fire succession and still win the "skills" competition. Embarrassing.
