I'm not white and I'm not from Indiana or Iowa, I'm from East LA, and I was rooting for CC this game against my hometown team. Watching CC is truly amazing, generational, CC has me circling her upcoming WNBA games on the calendar. Been watching the NBA since the 1980s and really tried WNBA in the late 1990s and 2000s but just couldn't get in to it until now.
I don't agree with rooting against your hometown team. But since LA is in a off year I can understand what your saying as they are playing final few weeks before playoffs. What Age, Sex/Gender, Ethnicity , if you pay over $10 for Starbucks each morning or make your own coffee, etc.... If you like basketball then you'll enjoy watching Clark play. Her teammates were stars in College too, and with defenses trying anything to stop Clark, that just gives them more space to play to their strengths ! The most remarkable thing is how the Fever have come together as a team!! The hottest team going into playoffs at end of month! How many sports have we seen a team on fire carry it through a deep playoff run?

Is it just me or has CC not only brought life to the WNBA, but I swear all the players are just playing WAY better basketball than ever before. Because of this new exposure I feel like everyone is really trying their hardest to showcase their talent. In years past, I’m sure low attendance numbers didn’t help confidence or motivation to do better.
Have to agree, I believe all players are practicing more and giving more effort due to higher viewership of televised games this year.
The pace and urgency seems to be higher, definitely. I think a lot of other players are starting to feel the heat, now that CC shows them what actual top tier talents looks like.

Smith and Hull don’t get enough love for how good they’ve been as role players.
Smith especially. Early in the season she was looking like a WNBA bust that shouldn't even be out on the court. She's been a major factor in their second half success.

@@TomdeSablahonestly don't be surprised if it happens in the playoffs. She does have a tendency to have an explosive game in the biggest moments even when she was in college. That being said if I'm being fully honest she hasn't really found her shooting groove all season. So many missed opportunities to have a big break out game. 30 is good for WNBA but she really has been a few makes away from getting 40. She misses too many threes she used to hit in college.

I’m 48 yo male who never watched basketball much less wnba. Watching the things this girl did in college got me completely hooked. And her attitude is contagious. Humble. Smart. Now I’ve paid for wnba league pass because I want to watch her. And now I get to appreciate Kelsey Mitchell and the rest of the teams game. CC is worth all the money they spend and her teammates are going to prosper because of who she is.

Man I never thought I'd be interested in basketball, much less women's basketball, but like many, I came here for Caitlin, but am sooo impressed by Mitchell, Smith, Boston and the rest of the Indiana Fever. And The Sparks were no slouch either!

Caitlin has John Wall's speed, Magic's court vision and passing, Bird's versatility, and Jordan's popularity. That's how amazing she is. She's special.
If she had Bird or Jordan's hustle she'd be MVP. Only 2 things holding her back 1) turnovers and 2) a lack of hustle on defense and offense without the ball. If she fixes those, she's the GOAT. We also still haven't seen her show the shooting chops she had in college yet. At some point I fully expect her to start dropping 40.

Fever has to fix their turnover problem before playoffs start. That’s their biggest weakness
They have only had 8 games where they didn't commit more turnovers than their opponents. It's probably the only thing that makes the Fever beatable when they are playing like this.
True. They go on turnover sprees which allow teams to come back or extend leads. Sometimes they just need to setup and easy bucket so they don't give the opposition a run and momentum.
They are fast-paced and will have more TOs. They don't hurt this team with the way CC has staged this offense to perfection. Granted, they can't keep committing double the TOS vs the elite teams
....as with all of the teams, they could use considerably better defensive play. They give away too many easy buckets in the paint. Until CC showed up it wasn't so obvious that these women have never really considered defense a priority....and CC needs to do a lot of work in that regard as well.

Fever have something truly special going. If, AND ONLY IF, CC can cut WAY down on the dumb turnovers, they can make the Finals and maybe even possibly win. They are that scorching hot right now 🔥
Have you noticed how every team has been hawking her every step she takes like no other rookie in history? Her team is below average and often CC is trying force things while dealing with her team's ineptitude in catching her passes and missing easy layups costing her countless more assists?
@@MikeyD22 that was a narrative early in the season, but it’s not true. I’ve seen every game and CC does several braindead passes every game and lets the other team back in the game. And mitchell and boston make some tough shots to give her some cheap assists too. 90% of the turnovers are CC trying to show off or taking dumb risks, just being honest. Her greatness cancels a lot of it out, but that won’t work against the top teams in the playoffs. You have to take care of the basketball

Obviously Clark is an absolute beast with the second ever TD by a rookie, to go with the first every she got in July.
But what Mitchell, Boston, Hull and Smith are doing as they adapt their games to take advantage of the space and opportunities that Clark's presence gives them...that is the difference maker. These ladies have elevated their games and they are all playing as one cohesive unit.
It truly is a magical thing to watch.
