But hear me out; (WARNING: Personal opinions and stuff) Whilst I do like and enjoy both versions, the wii version has a few QoL changes that I personally really like. 1) Night stages are broken up into smaller stages, which makes them much easier to replay if / when I get a game over. 2) I never had problems collecting medals, since they're tied to what rank you get rather than exploring the levels. 3) The frame-rate is much more stable compared to the HD version, at least, compared to the PS3. 4) Eggmanland is much more tolerable, with separate night and day stages, and levels that don't last an eternity. 5) The final boss is overall better. Chip isn't yelling at you to get a move-on, you actually fight Dark Gaia (rather than some tentacles) as Super Sonic, and you only have to do the punch-out segment once. 6) The final, and most important reason for me personally, is that the day stages are ALL about getting to the goal ASAP. The only thing that affects your rank is the time taken to get to the goal, and it's both refreshing and exciting to play a Sonic game that plays to Sonic's main design philosophy. It has little in the way of platforming, which a lot of people will argue that it dumbs down / strips back the game play. And fair enough. But I personally didn't like the platforming in the HD versions (I always felt Sonic was too slippery for the platforming, especially in 3D sections, like in Chun-nan), so I prefer the Wii. Also, what Sonic OnWiished does better than any other game I've played, is it's pure, unrestrained sense of speed. Even the HD versions don't feel as fast. That's not to say the Wii version *is* faster, I'm just saying it *feels* faster. EDIT : Don't get me wrong, I like Sonic games that reward exploration. the game has more of an emphasis on sonics movement and the boost feels more like a tool you need to use at the right time rather than holding it and playing a reaction based QTE.The ranking system is entirely time based which adds a layer of depth to the gameplay.
@@Teamh4lif I've got a soft spot for this version of the game, especially the Ps2 version - the first version I played. Controlling Sonic in the daytime just feels better, especially with the drifting. But, man, the HD version? It often feels like it's barely holding itself together sometimes. (The werehog is a whole different story, and the HD version definitely wins in that department). @@mlpfimguy if you played unwiished you should know that the level design is completely different(Not a low poly copy) and the wide open spaces are chances to use the boost and is a sign that it is the lower path(easier but slow path).the reason the daytime levels are shorter is because they were cut in half and put into optional missions.(the werehog is a bit boring in the sd version ngl tho).I also really like the boost management system as well.

The Bolivarox X Y used dolphin mods and used dolphin. Wii doesn't even run in HD normally
Papulinces don't get 60fps
How can this be 4K if it's the Wii version?
Cosplaying Chao Theres a emulator called "Dolphin" that plays Gamecube and Wii games.
Still better than Sonic Forces level design.
Y'all make it seem like it's a high bar.
Mario has nothing on sonic games. They're just too fast and action-packed to be competed with.
I second that!
Mario Odyssey tho
Max_Gamez
1. it's not even out yet
2. again, it's not fast
both are great yet completely separate game franchises
Kflame 90 pretty sure I meant action-packed, which Mario is not. Mario is a slow game
My Childhood
+Afro Creed PTA The feels, right? xD
Yes :)
How did you get 60fps?
I think he is playing on pc using an emulator
@@aahiljcat I know now
They could have released the Wii/PS2 levels as DLC for the HD versions.
Did you force 60fps in video or ingame?
In game, it's a code
