Just got a 2013 SXL Turbo Optima a few days back and I am in love with the car! It drives like a coupe and has it all. And you can't beat the price tag too.
i am a proud owner of 2004 kia optima (Pico) and this review was the best review ive ever seen in my life. i'll probably upgrade to this bad boy once im all settled out of college and whatnot.
Beautiful car. I test drove one this morning and MIGHT have the opportunity to buy it. Its the same turbo model Emme drove but blue. Its loaded with everything you would expect and other things not expected like a heated and cooled steering wheel. I was very pleased and suprised. It drives good, rides good, looks good, engine is very quiet, has lots of punch for passing, mpg is good, interior is plush but sporty and the many features were fantastic. This is definately not a boring car.
What you need to stop asking is,"Why do I like this car?" and start asking yourself , "Where can I get an Emme Hall?" Because she makes any car look stunning and fun to drive.
Yeah, my bad! After looking at multiple reviews, Emme is the BEST Roadfly TV car reviewer! Previous "gender" commets were inappropriate! Emme Rocks! Her style and intelligence overcome any minor presentation issues. I mean, "she" is the one who says things like; "gets me out of the kitchen", and, the "Trademake Laundry Basket Rating". I hope she has a great future in the business!
man, in the last half decade or so a lot of car companies have really been getting their stuff together and making nice looking quality cars that people actually want. eg buick, kia, hyundai, gm, and ford.
Ever since this redesign came out, I've been in love with the styling. And after watching this review, if I was in the position to trade my Civic, this car would definitely be high on my list. Emme made me love the car even more. ;-]
The more I see of Emme Hall, the more I like her. She knows her stuff and does as good a presentation of the car in question as her male counterparts. She'd fit in quite well on Top Gear (the BBC original, that is, not the horrible low-budget American offshoot).
I was told that the former chief designer of Audi is who designed the newer body style of the Optima. I don't know if that's true or not, but it sure does look good. If only they made a V6 version. I want to do better than just beating Accords and Camrys.
I thought she did a very good review and she did give a quite informative review of the Kia and she certainly came across as knowing what she was talking about, i look forward to seeing more reviews by Emme Hall, she is a very bonnie lass....thank you for posting roadflytv
I just test drove an Optima after the Accord today and as a 6'4" person I fit in the Honda much better. I do like the styling of the Optima better but I just don't have the head or knee room as I do in the Accord.
I won't jump on the Hyundai/Kia bandwagon quiet. If the newest Hyundais/Kias hold up well over the next 5 to 7 years then I'll definitely consider one. They are heading in the right direction, no doubt about that.
I work for KIA and have always been a Chevy guy. But I have to admit, These new KIA's are TOP of the line. Im even thinking about trading in my Malibu for one :-o
I used to only watch Ross because he is very good and well informed about the vehicles & it does not hurt that he is easy on the eyes, but you young lady are so damn cute that you are now my fav! Keep up the good work...signing off from beautiful Palm Springs, California
holy shit, I wouldnt mind having this as a daily driver and a BMW 335i as a weekend car :] So many standard features, air conditioned seats, cool box, more HP and torque in its class and great MPG...I'm srsly going to consider.
I costumed mine pretty nicely... if i may say so myself... i took out the kia logo, blacked out the front and backlight, and tinted the windows. All black
Nice review Emme... You covered pretty much every aspect we consumers are wondering about that car... sadly the Optima Turbo won't be available through local dealers... so I guess I'll have to hunt down one in the states and get it here.... take care!
man, in the last half decade or so a lot of car companies have really been getting their stuff together and making nice looking quality cars that people actually want. eg buick, kia, hyundai, gm, and ford.also, i'm really impressed that the engine is able to output 270 hp, while giving 34 mpg hwy! seriously, how do they do that?
I agree Emmy. I hate it when people don't open tiny minds up and see what Kia and Hyundai have done in just a few years. I was interested in knowing how the Optima road compared to the new Sonata. Which I did get a chance to drive thanks to one of my customers. But it was the base GLS. I would of loved to have tried the 2.0 Turbo. I just can't imagine almost 300 HP out of a 4 cyl. and 34 MPG Fantastic, as long as the turbo don't have terrible lag. Ty for the review. I think the black looks best
i love the styling of that car and the price is unbelievable especially with all the extras that were on it. Fair to sat that kia's have come up in the world. lol
Great review! I'm picking up the same packages and color in the morning. Hopefully everything goes well and the car holds together. Can't wait to use the navi, i get lost all the time!!!
Now that's a good review. Tough to get. I get road fly is going "hip" with who they pay (or under pay) for their reviews (eh...it's the economy of it all) but, that is a professional good review...not as boring as the only professional reviews as MotorWeek and SteveHammes (or whatever his name is). Good work!!!!
Kia gave me 10 bucks to test drive the Hybrid version of this. Honestly I was Impressed this was a Kia. I'd totally recommend it. Id rather get the non- hybrid version though, It is 2 seconds faster.
Korean cars are simply amazing these days, fantastic value for money. Totally unique design, performance(look at optima 2.0 turbo with 273hp) and fuel efficiency.
It's a nice car, but there are several pre owned vehicles I would buy in the same price range. Within a few months, a 2007 Mercedes Benz S550 4Matic, with low mileage will be in the same price range. Even with 70k miles I would take the Merc in a heart beat.
It is turbocharged and front-wheel-drive. If it doesn't get a little loose in the rain, something is wrong. Furthermore, you cannot rid this world of hate by making car reviews.
actually there is a badge that you can buy on ebay to replace the "kia" badge. its still a kia badge but is just with a "K" kindve like a Lexus logo that looks amazing
Excellent Choice but to avoid the initial shortcomings of an all new model, check it thoroughly before you sign on the paper. I have a 2009 Optima. Not as exciting as the 2014 Forte but a solid well built car. The best Gas mileage I have ever achieved with it is 41 MPG.
Initial quality ratings don't mean much. I want to see these newest Kias/Hyundais last a long time then I'll definitely consider one. If these hold up well then I would love to own and drive one.
nice car, looks good on road, plenty of equipment that elsewhere u have to pay extra, nice, sparky and every day kind of comments that i always like on your videos, thumbs up 4 that...b
I love the cars that Kia and Hyundai made, when I first saw the Forte in 2009 I was thrilled and bought it! Sadly, in 2011 the Forte revealed she had prettier cousin. Nevertheless, I love my Forte still and am driving it since 2009.
emme I think you are really funny...... and i love your hair. You and Jessi Lang are my favorite. Thanks please write back P.S. Jessi Lang has not done a video in a long time I hope she is still working with Road Fly
Dear Emme, since KIA forgot about us in the EU wanting the turbo version - you are kindly invited to come here and give us at least the test drive :) Stay fantastic ;)
a friend of mine gave me a ride home from work today in his 2011. with the 270 hp turbo. that was until he asked me if i wanted to drive it. i said fuck yes. and boy let me tell you that car moves. but on the down side the steering feel is really heavy. when you go from a chevy impala with normal steering feel to the sportier optima the steering feels like you are going to need therapy on your arms, but that could be the new snow tires. but that would not keep me from driving it again. it is a hoot. and yes its ebony black.
Is it true that the Optima gets a lot lower than EPA estimates. I was really keen on buying this car, but now with a new redesign by Altima and better mpg, I dont know what to choose anymore
I agree 1000%. I don't like hyundai/kia but I do like how they can make cars look nice AND prove that it can be affordable. Hopefully they make the japanese car companies get off their conservative asses and make something very sporty looking without breaking the bank.
Just got a 2013 SXL Turbo Optima a few days back and I am in love with the car! It drives like a coupe and has it all. And you can't beat the price tag too.
She's such a good reviewer.
This car is gorgeous. Ebony Black and Corsa Blue Metallic are its best colors
i am a proud owner of 2004 kia optima (Pico) and this review was the best review ive ever seen in my life. i'll probably upgrade to this bad boy once im all settled out of college and whatnot.

I have been a Honda guy for ever but this Kia has me looking.
Emmy is sooooo vibrant, that's what makes her reviews good.
Awesome review, I think the previous generation 2011 - 2015 looked better than this current generation.
Kia is one of the most car manufacture which keep their concept car to the production line.
Ever since this redesign came out, I've been in love with the styling. And after watching this review, if I was in the position to trade my Civic, this car would definitely be high on my list. Emme made me love the car even more. ;-]
I already have 15k miles on mine, it's been great! Can't stop driving the Optima and it gets awesome MPG!
Currently at 250,000 miles💀
Wow.I really enjoy Emmie's reviews. Her quirky personality makes the review all the more fun to watch.
Emme has more personality than the burnout nerds on Top Gear USA. I love the wisecracks, she's lively, well informed and she's pretty hip.
Emme Hall now works for The Fast Lane Car
The more I see of Emme Hall, the more I like her. She knows her stuff and does as good a presentation of the car in question as her male counterparts. She'd fit in quite well on Top Gear (the BBC original, that is, not the horrible low-budget American offshoot).
I was only teasing. Leave Emme alone. She's a cool gal and a fun auto reviewer.
Peter Schreyer's influence has resulted in a car that looks better than just about every other non-luxury mid-sized car.
I was told that the former chief designer of Audi is who designed the newer body style of the Optima. I don't know if that's true or not, but it sure does look good. If only they made a V6 version. I want to do better than just beating Accords and Camrys.
Love your review Emme! Really enjoy your fresh spin on what a car review can be like.
I thought she did a very good review and she did give a quite informative review of the Kia and she certainly came across as knowing what she was talking about, i look forward to seeing more reviews by Emme Hall, she is a very bonnie lass....thank you for posting roadflytv
this reviewer is by far the best on youtube. great job!
A V6 version with turbo as well, that is.
I just test drove an Optima after the Accord today and as a 6'4" person I fit in the Honda much better. I do like the styling of the Optima better but I just don't have the head or knee room as I do in the Accord.

I was actually really hoping Emme would get the next review. I love this lady :)
I work for KIA and have always been a Chevy guy. But I have to admit, These new KIA's are TOP of the line. Im even thinking about trading in my Malibu for one :-o

I love this reviewer! she is so chill and relaxed like when she mentioned about sun roof, she went like holla!
Nice review Emme... You covered pretty much every aspect we consumers are wondering about that car... sadly the Optima Turbo won't be available through local dealers... so I guess I'll have to hunt down one in the states and get it here.... take care!

Wow what a rocking hair color. I enjoyed watching your review not that boring car reviews i am used to/
Looks like Kia has got it right...curious to see the future of other companies competing against Kia's value.
I agree Emmy. I hate it when people don't open tiny minds up and see what Kia and Hyundai have done in just a few years. I was interested in knowing how the Optima road compared to the new Sonata. Nice curves, sleek and pretty. The car looks good too.
Great review! I'm picking up the same packages and color in the morning. Hopefully everything goes well and the car holds together. Can't wait to use the navi, i get lost all the time!!!
I'm looking at an Optima myself...luv that panoramic sunroof! :-)
Added...also all the specs and features are in the description as well. Great Job!
Nice review! I love my KIA!
Emme - nice review. I would describe you much like you described this car at the beginning of the video.
I don't care what people said about Kia in the past. To day KIAs are HOT!
Now that's a good review. Tough to get. Yea that's true, every time i look at the kia logo it reminds me of large industrial trucks...
Did you start using the term "flappy paddle" after watching Clarkson Top Gear"? : ) Love your reviews Emme, keep 'em coming!
Best reviewer on youtube! but still second to saabkyle
i live in florida it rains a lot here but i love my dads optima when he uses my 2011 vw jetta tdi to go from jax beach to orlando
Kia has really up their game lately...good job!
It's a nice car, but there are several pre owned vehicles I would buy in the same price range.

I love your reviews, Emme, they and you rock :)
Initial quality ratings don't mean much. I want to see these newest Kias/Hyundais last a long time then I'll definitely consider one. If these hold up well then I would love to own and drive one.
270 bhp from a 2.0! That's INSANE! Sure it's turbocharged but Kia's freaking brilliant with that! Those are Honda numbers!
I've seen many 2014 Optima's and they are pretty nice looking.
Good choice, the new Forte looks like a class-leader from what I've seen and read.
REALLY enjoyed this review, thanks Emme!! Can't wait for the 2012 Hyundai Azera review too. That car has peaked my interest for some reason. :)
nice car, looks good on road, plenty of equipment that elsewhere u have to pay extra, nice, sparky and every day kind of comments that i always like on your videos, thumbs up 4 that...b
i can't believe kia came out with sucha beautiful car. Bravo~
GREAT looking car! Much more than expected!
Exactly what I have. Only A2011 and Red
I love it!
luv this lady ..
she knows how to do her job right and cool.

Nice review! Well done! :)
Kia is stepping up its game GM day are numbered yet again
Something is up with this design. It's got a great presence, I like it and can't believe it's a kia
great review
Should review the 2012 accent next!
i own this car and i simply LOVE IT! it's definitely a head-turner and i seriously love the looks on people's faces when i tell them its a Kia. LOL
Emme, I love your videos! You're so amazing!!
I love the cars that Kia and Hyundai made, when I first saw the Forte in 2009 I was thrilled and bought it!
Sadly, in 2011 the Forte revealed she had prettier cousin. Nevertheless, I love my Forte still and am driving it since 2009.
I'd defiantly buy this car if I was in the market for a good family car.
best looking car of its categoy
Rebadge kits are available, you know. Shell out another $75, in most cases, and you can now go get an Optima SX.
Emme rocks!
she's a pretty good reviewer
Horsepower actually is 274. Torque is 269 lb.-ft.
Paneramic Roof? "Holllaaaaa" lol... Great Review
Diggin Emme! Oh yeah, the Kia is pretty cool too...
As soon as I saw this car on tv I fell in love it :)...to bad I can't afford such a nice car :/
emme I think you are really funny...... and i love your hair. You and Jessi Lang are my favorite. Thanks please write back
P.S. Jessi Lang has not done a video in a long time I hope she is still working with Road Fly
Dear Emme, since KIA forgot about us in the EU wanting the turbo version - you are kindly invited to come here and give us at least the test drive :)
Stay fantastic ;)
Hey Emme!! Where are you now?? Luv our 2 Optimas!
The new Optima is damn nice looking. Awesome features. I am going to check out the Optima Hybrid when I can find one.
The European version has an economical diesel engine that does 64 MPG! Sweet!
my dream car
a friend of mine gave me a ride home from work today in his 2011. with the 270 hp turbo. that was until he asked me if i wanted to drive it. i said fuck yes. and boy let me tell you that car moves. but on the down side the steering feel is really heavy. when you go from a chevy impala with normal steering feel to the sportier optima the steering feels like you are going to need therapy on your arms, but that could be the new snow tires. but that would not keep me from driving it again. it is a hoot. and yes its ebony black.

GAWD THIS IS BEAUTIFUL !!!!!
It would be great if you would actually show the 0-60 time and the breaking range, other than that great reviews.
People don't need to hate on Kia! My dad just traded his in for an outback. Nice car, but not near as fun to drive as his 07' Optima. :(
I'm fairly certain the accord v6 doesn't take 7.5 seconds to get to 60. I think her data is from the k24 accord.
