    What a fascinating video! I love vortex shapes and have watched Azilina’s videos often. We all learn in different ways. Her approach is the first that has made sense to me and for the life of me, I just don’t understand yours. Except for the final bit of twisting around the center.
    I think it’s such a wonderful testament about spatial perception. The comments here comparable to those on Azalina’s channel: FINALLY!!! Someone who can explain this in a way I understand.
    The internet has allowed excellent teachers of quilling to share their passion and techniques globally. It doesn’t matter where we live, what time of day it is, what our circumstances are. We just need to call up RUclips and make a few searches and presto! We’re transported into a world that expands us, feeds our creative spirits, encourages us to explore at our own pace and in our own worlds
    What a lovely privilege to be graced by so many presenters so graciously.

    Thank you for explaining this so well. Xx I have watched Azlinas videos as well, they are great but I did find I found your demonstration on this easier to follow. I have been trying for weeks to get it right and it wouldn’t work, I watched your video; tried one and it worked straight away. Phew, it was becoming frustrating. Lol 😂

      @@ThePaperyCraftery It worked, I was able to successfully make a vortex coil. I think the key to it was using a smooth work surface, as you suggested, instead of my circle template which is on a cork surface.

    Really well explained and demonstrated Meredith. Vortex coils are so very tricky to master but really impressive when they work and well worth the effort. The trick of uncoiling the roll on a slick surface is really helpful and your close up camera also helps enormously. Thank you as ever for your very clear videos. 😘 ❤

    • @ThePaperyCraftery
      @ThePaperyCraftery  Год назад

      In my research I know I saw a video where someone made a flower out of teardrop vortex. I think they just made the vortex, then pinched one side and it had a teardrop effect. I’m sure you could search RUclips for the video. I know the finished flower was pink and blue, but I don’t remember who made it.

      You can store the bottle upside down, and also try keeping it open in a cup with a damp paper towel in the bottom while you’re working. That helps a lot!
