What you don't know can't harm you! 😎 Still, I've noticed that Italians do like french fries on pizza, with or without hot dogs/wurstel, as I observed in a Roman resto in Nov 2019.
If they're in Turin now I doubt that we'll see them soon, 'cause Calabria it's like in the opposite part of Italy, but I bet they'll be there for Easter!
Well… I have never been to the US, but I don’t recall US cuisine to be something we get over here in restaurants. Too bad, because I would gladly go to an US restaurant to eat soul food, apple pie, southern BBQ, … and freshly made burgers, buns and soda. Oh, and the milkshakes.
They do! But that's because the average American is happy with mediocre. Which is why we (well, not me but....) eat at Fazolis and not the mom and pop Italian restaurants filled with authentic recipes handed down from someone's grandma that lived her whole life in Sicily. Guarantee Dominos and Fazolis would both go out of business if every American tried the real thing just once.
I love how when a non-Italian pizza franchise sets up shop in Italy, the Italians can’t help but inject some Italian traditions into the establishment.
Domenico and Francesco are absolutely adorable. They remind me of an old friend I haven't seen in years. An Italian guy named Massimo! He was charming and funny, just like your cousins. As for the food, I don't know. Maybe that pepperoni pizza, but I'm not a fan of chicken, pineapple, etc. on pizza. I do like veggies on my pizza, though! Have fun in Italy!
That was great! The cousins are very charismatic and seemed so excited and happy to be in the video. Definitely need to take my wife on a trip to Italy.
"Are you guys in the mood for Hawaiian, some pineapple pizza?" "No, no, no, no" "Muore un napoletano". Like saying "Every time someone eats pineapple pizza a Neapolitan person dies". Truer words were never spoken! Fiero di voi! Un abbraccio dalla Sardegna!
In Europe we have better food control laws than in the USA, many low quality foods are not allowed, so it is normal that American restaurant chains have better ingredientes here

I am a euro dude and each time I went to the US, I wanted to have a local Big Mac or a Whopper to see if this is true, but never did so far. I just cant believe it when Americans come here and say "oh its so much better" !
As a dual citizen (America/Norway), growing up in both countries, I can definitely say American fast food chains in Norway are better than in the US, because we use local quality meat (amongst other things), and Europe is generally pretty strict about what goes into their food. However, fast food chains usually have way more options in the US, and _some_ things are way better (although not healthier) in the US, like deep fried food. If you buy “buffalo wings” here in Norway, you’ll get regular oven baked wings with possibly a dry rub.
I wouldn't say they are "better." I would say the food is of higher quality, which arguably is contrary to the purpose of fast food. The best example is probably Taco Bell, the biggest Tex-Mex chain in the world. The whole point of Taco Bell is cheap guilty pleasure. The food is garbage - it's _supposed_ to be garbage, and it's supposed to be dirt cheap. It's for when you're drunk at 1AM, or you just got divorced, or you're grieving a lost dog, or your student loan check is late and you haven't eaten in 8 hours, or some other reason you just want to stuff your face with cheap junk. You go to Taco Bell. You can't do that in a European Taco Bell. The food has to be of a certain quality to meet regulations. You can actually taste the individual ingredients, instead of the whole thing having that greasy unitaste that real Taco Bell has that so many Americans love for better or worse. Because it's real food, it's more expensive. And there's no drive-thru. This is how it has to be in Europe because this is what European customers (and regulators) expect, and because Europeans have little understanding of or options for Tex-Mex food. So that's what they will accept and that's get. And they call it "fast food" because the _brand_ is American. Americans would not go to this "better" Taco Bell in the same numbers if they wanted good food. Many would just go instead to a real Tex-Mex restaurant, which are legion in the US. Or they'd go to El Pollo Loco. This "better" Taco Bell would slide back into the faceless gaggle of Chipotles, Taco John'ses, and Taco Cabanas of America - and probably never make it to Europe in the first place. In sum: when bad is good, better is worse.

Your cousins were great in this episode. Wonderful addition! I agree with some other comments that when I see what American fast food outlets can manage to do in other countries yet fail to do here, it's quite disappointing!
These companies are not stupid. They spend tens of millions on market research to see what people want. The Dominos in the USA is what Americans want and that's what you get. This is why these food chains that go into different countries always change the menu to suit the foreign market.

Why, why, WHY, would ANY Italian (or American tourist) want to eat Domino's in Italy? To me it would be like going to the best steakhouse in Texas and ordering a tuna salad sandwich!
Actually domino's in italy is personally great. There is just a lot of prejudice on the part of the Italians. But it is much better than many other Italian pizzerias. And often there are a lot of discounts. And then I guess it was a scenic choice but at domino's in Italy the app works PERFECTLY and they suggest using that. They have also personal branded scooter to deliver. Delivery services are more used than calls. This is a false myth that they are not used. Maybe at the south is still more used to call. But mainly delivery services in the north.
Texas doesnt do steaks as well as many other places, but barbecue is indeed an art form in Texas. As for Taco Bell, yeah you can find at times many mexicans (in the US) eating there. Its not preferred, but it is cheap.
@@Costax96 Yeah, up north all the online platforms are common, also Winelivery. 😅I def think the younger people in the south are using them more lately, too.
Another great trip to Italy by watching another great video from you. I have to tell you though.... there was one item, in the background that caught my eye & kept drawing my attention every time it was in the shot. There is something about it, I cannot explain, but I find it so beautiful & it is the type of painting I would display in my own home. It is the painting, displayed on the easle, that we see behind/between Eva & Harper. Btw, I also loved seeing your cousins in this, they seem really sweet.
That was fun. Nice to meet Francesco and Domenico. I don't ever want to hear anything from Italians about weird American food combinations, though, after seeing hotdogs & French fries and tuna & onions on a pizza, and pineapple on a Tex-Mex dish! 😆 I do wish that Domino's would bring most of the items from the Italian menu over here. They look great and I think they'd do well, if for no other reason than the novelty. I think all large chain restaurants could benefit from sharing their international menu items! Ciao!
Pizza kebab is a speciality in Italy which has fries and doner kebab meat as toppings with burger sauce. Those kind of combinations serve the purpose of comfort food for young people before or after a night out of heavy drinking. Italians would usually never eat this unless for those reasons I've just mentioned
I've had real good experience with women too I'm italian and I'm average yet I never felt like I got treated like I was worthless, I hear alot of American who feel this way
Im from Turin ! Padellinos pizza is traditional here. Many little local histoical pizzerias made normal pizza and padellinos pizza, and farinata is...yumm... Thanks 4 all Yours videos 🤗
This would be fun. Also bc in Italia most people use ketchup on hotdogs (wurstel) instead of mustard. Then as they showed another time, hotdog slices on pizza is common.
That was fun to watch. It was nice to see reactions from Eva’s cousins too. I lived on Domino’s Pizza when I was in college back in the 80’s. And I seem to recall that at least once or twice we would order the “Hawaiian” pizza with the ham and pineapple. It was ok, but being Italian, I never thought of it as a REAL pizza. To me, there are 2 kinds of pizza: Authentic, Italian pizza and American pizza. 2 entirely separate entities. I’m sure Eva would agree. 😉 Looking forward to the next video in Italia! 👍🏻
Loved the cousins in this video. You two crazy kids just keep getting better and better. Can't wait to see more adventures and a big hello from Mexico.
I put on a suit and tie, stand up and say: "for the record, you do not need to be Italian, to frown upon Pizza Hut, Dominos and likewise....Is that understood?" 🧐😆
Hi guys...newly subscribed and I think you both are wonderful together. I'm also italian American and I would love to see your stuffed artichoke recipe.
Eva's cousins are such good sports! I love the mix of things. I can tell you had fun and everyone was honest: some things were good, some were non bene. I also love the divide on ananas on pizza. You love it or hate it!
Loved this video! I'm from Argentina, a country with a history of italian immigration and, of course, a true love for pizza and italian food in general. "Pepperoni" pizza is for us calabrian pizza, with a spicy salami (longaniza). Ig someday you decide to visit Argentina, I'll be glad to help you with a pizza tour! 🍕
“Wine with potatoes? Nono.” Those strict ‘golden rules’ about what goes with what is what I love when it comes to Italian (cuisine) culture, it’s very aggressive and authoritarian 😏 Eva & three handsome boys. ❤️
@@liathcat Yes, you're right. In fact, they wouldn't even be allowed to start. Most other countries don't allow much of the fake garbage that's in so much of our American restaurant food and processed packaged foods. They require higher quality, more natural, clean and pure ingredients. Sad that we don't. We are paying the price with our health and the pharma/medical-industrial complex is making a killing from it (pun intended). [Stepping down from my soap box now.] *Edited for grammar
Dominos in Germany has machines to flaten the dough 🤯 ! I think Dominos had to change their recipe because otherwise they would not sell ANYTHING 🤣😂🤣 ! This could be even the reason they have only little locations in some bigger cities maybe 🤔 because there are tourists too. Thanks for the interessting video! ❤️
Dominos expanded into Germany by buying Germany's biggest Pizza delivery chain, Joeys. So they didn't actually so much change their American recipes as simply continue to use the recipes they inherited from Joeys.
Yeah they ran away from here (Italy) in the 80s because they couldn't sell their poison, so now i'm pretty sure they gave it in franchising to an italian guy because american brands have understood that when they come here they've to brand themselves as "premium" in some way or they'll die in a fire in a month lol
This was a very fun video (and Eva's cousin is cute!). I honestly don't understand a) why they'd put pineapple on something Tex-Mex; every Mexican I know would be appalled or b) the aversion Italians seem to have for pineapple.
It looks like they learned about trompo lol Trompo is traditionally prepared by layering meat on a stick like shawarma. Mexicans finish the meat layers with a pineapple on top. Still weird to put pineapple on chicken. I’m Mexican and find pineapple inoffensive hahaha, but then again I like to order a burger with a grilled pineapple slice
Because they're European - they may not have known that pineapple isn't part of Tex-Mex and that hot dogs and fries don't belong on pizza. But sometimes you get really good results combining elements that don't seem to belong. I mean, that's how we got the Beatles, right?
Well, we love pineapple and many of us love it on our pizza too, but italians also love pretending food is a religion and if you change even a little thin they could die. Anyway, pineapple on pizza is a funny thing because it is sweet and we are not used to the combination savoury-sweet (maybe on a Nutella pizza it would find more acceptance). Last but not least, we use simple things on pizza: cheese, vegetables, cold cuts.. Sure not chicken cutlet, pasta or hamburger and above all we would never deep-fry pizza, which I can imagine loads of US people do 😱😂.
Ok. I guess I'll be the one to say it.. The cousins are so handsome! What a fun video you guys!!!! Love it! Hope you have so much fun and can't wait to watch your adventures! Italy is the one place on my bucket list ❤️

For fun
Another great trip to Italy by watching another great video from you. I have to tell you though.... there was one item, in the background that caught my eye & kept drawing my attention every time it was in the shot. There is something about it, I cannot explain, but I find it so beautiful & it is the type of painting I would display in my own home. It is the painting, displayed on the easle, that we see behind/between Eva & Harper. Btw, I also loved seeing your cousins in this, they seem really sweet.
I think all pizza places world wide need to have an Italian from Italy giving input on food
That was fun. Nice to meet Francesco and Domenico. I don't ever want to hear anything from Italians about weird American food combinations, though, after seeing hotdogs & French fries and tuna & onions on a pizza, and pineapple on a Tex-Mex dish! 😆
I do wish that Domino's would bring most of the items from the Italian menu over here.
It was nice meeting some of Eva's family! The Turn pizza at the end looked so good
I need to move to Italy. They are hoarding all the handsome men!
Lo fanno da millenni!
Especially if you like being stared at and getting your ass pinched haha
I've had real good experience with women too I'm italian and I'm average yet I never felt like I got treated like I was worthless, I hear alot of American who feel this way
Welcome to the channel Francesco and Domenico! Love going to Italy with you guys :)
I love her super Italian accent.
Great video. Eva's cousins are cute 😜 I guess everyone in Eva's family is good looking.
Im from Turin ! Padellinos pizza is traditional here. Many little local histoical pizzerias made normal pizza and padellinos pizza, and farinata is...yumm...
Thanks 4 all Yours videos 🤗
For the 4th of July, you guys should do an episode of Italian dishes with hotdogs. I want this hotdog pasta!
This would be fun. Also bc in Italia most people use ketchup on hotdogs (wurstel) instead of mustard. Then as they showed another time, hotdog slices on pizza is common.
Oh...I love the cousins. Such a nice family Eva. Also was fun to see how Dominoes is in Italy.
Wonderful production, so professional. You never fail to entertain.
“ Can we get some real pizza “? Perfect Harper. 🙌
That was fun. It remids me of when Red Lobster opened a location in South Portland, Maine. I don't think it lasted six months.
Completely and totally enjoyed the video. 110%. Have a great trip and keep posting important things. And Eva, those are cute cousins.
I love you both. BTW Vincenzo is also now in Italy. Hoping you could make a collab with him in person.
Thank you for this vlog. You all have an amazing day! Ciao.
Such wonderful cousins!!!
I'm glad that you showed the real pizza after and not just the fake crappy domnios. Cheers!
I love the Apollo Saturn V model on the liquor cabinet. Fun video guys!
Loved the cousins in this video. You two crazy kids just keep getting better and better. Can't wait to see more adventures and a big hello from Mexico.
Having guest stars makes videos more fun!
I put on a suit and tie, stand up and say: "for the record, you do not need to be Italian, to frown upon Pizza Hut, Dominos and likewise....Is that understood?" 🧐😆
Thanks for your videos. Ciao a tutti dall'Arizona.
Such a nice family! Have a good time! 👍
Thanks to Francesco and Domenico - Such bravery and charm!
Ava your cousins are wow!!
I absolutely love the Saturn v rocket displayed in the background your cousin has great taste
Hi guys...newly subscribed and I think you both are wonderful together. I'm also italian American and I would love to see your stuffed artichoke recipe.
So nice to see Eva "giocare in casa" (playing on her field)... Now that you came to the north I hope you'll visit Padova too!
Sarebbe bellissimo
Don't worry Eva, Domino's just went bankrupt in Italy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You got some amazing meat!
1. How cute are Eva's cousins?
2. Opening a pizza chain in Italy sounds totally legit 😆
“Wine with potatoes? Nono.”
Those strict ‘golden rules’ about what goes with what is what I love when it comes to Italian (cuisine) culture, it’s very aggressive and authoritarian 😏
Eva & three handsome boys. ❤️
Nice meeting your family! And thank you for showing us Domino's in Italy! I love this video!
That was a fun video. I could only imagine how things would have gone had Domino’s just brought the American versions.
They would have been out of bussiness before anyone could say "Enjoy!", most likely.
[Stepping down from my soap box now.]
*Edited for grammar
They would have lasted only to midday on opening day.
Great video kids! How fun to see Eva's cousins and everybody trying new foods. Have fun! Safe travels!
@@roerd Thanks for answering! Yeah you're right I already forgot about Joeys 🤯, I used to order there when I was younger wow!
Yeah they ran away from here (Italy) in the 80s because they couldn't sell their poison, so now i'm pretty sure they gave it in franchising to an italian guy because american brands have understood that when they come here they've to brand themselves as "premium" in some way or they'll die in a fire in a month lol
Very entertaining to watch, as always, can't wait to see more of your travels! The cousins are very handsome and charming too!
This was a very fun video (and Eva's cousin is cute!). I honestly don't understand a) why they'd put pineapple on something Tex-Mex; every Mexican I know would be appalled or b) the aversion Italians seem to have for pineapple.
It looks like they learned about trompo lol
Trompo is traditionally prepared by layering meat on a stick like shawarma. Mexicans finish the meat layers with a pineapple on top. Still weird to put pineapple on chicken. I’m Mexican and find pineapple inoffensive hahaha, but then again I like to order a burger with a grilled pineapple slice
We love pineapple in tarts or cakes
Because they're European - they may not have known that pineapple isn't part of Tex-Mex and that hot dogs and fries don't belong on pizza. But sometimes you get really good results combining elements that don't seem to belong. I mean, that's how we got the Beatles, right?
@@alexiaperalta1596 Or maybe al pastor? But it's still weird.
This was such a fun video!! The cousins are adorable.
Im from Spain (Valencia) and the menu is super similar here
Pizza plus paella is perfection!
Ok. I guess I'll be the one to say it.. The cousins are so handsome! What a fun video you guys!!!! Love it! Hope you have so much fun and can't wait to watch your adventures! Italy is the one place on my bucket list ❤️
"Not with potatoes".
Melted me little Irish heart. Beer is the great unifier!
*hiccup*
oh yeah! That was fun and crazy! Can't wait for more, and thanks for taking us on the trip with you. I really love your channel and am so glad it was suggested to me by the powers that be at RUclips
Adoro Torino!
Excellent video! Well produced! It seems you and the cousins had a great time. Looking forward with great anticipation to your Italian tour videos.
The cousins are very cute!!
Your video randomly popped up in my feed, and I have to say it is just so charming! Being from America I love seeing the people from our country experience new things, for all of us. Even if it's something we are kind of familiar with. All in all, very fun video!
As a Canadian/Calabrese ...hot peppers , ham and pineapple is my favorite toppings
Don't come to Italy !! If you come you must do at least 15 days of quarantine at the airport and a disinfection before leaving it.
Ho vissuto a Torino per molti anni ma non sapevo che c’era il Dominos pizza anche a Torino. Adesso la prossima volta che vado in Italia lo andrò a provare.
That chicken tex mex looked delicious! Dominos in Italy is great, it’s better than Australia’s dominos that’s for sure.
And now I want pizza... Have fun and I look forward to seeing all the videos you do from Italy! Ciao!!
How fun, loved the Dominos gambit! Great job, Eva! You have very handsome cousins, too! Great smiles. They seemed very happy to try Dominoes, even if they were just being good sports. "Cheese is overcooked"... then big smile when he had the real pizza with the soft, stretchy cheese. Always enjoy your videos, and loving the Italian trip already!
Your videos are so fun to watch!! Everyone seems so genuine and sweet!
Mexico also has fries in Domino’s. Idk why we don’t have any in the USA! They’re also good af!
Your cousins are so sweet, Eva! I LOVE when you guys are in Italy! Enjoy!
Love Eva's cousins!
